This hotel is now 3 years " young" and it`s one of the 3 Atrium hotels on Rhodes. It's a beautiful hotel, 2 min from the beach, lovely area, lovely staff, the food is perfect, big rooms, some of them with a private pool. Close to town and airport. I have been there 4 times and I will go back next year. For me the Atrium hotels are number 1 on Rhodes.

Being positive first, rooms, pool area, staff & Al a cart restaurants are all very good, but there is BUT! As a couple, we always like to be able to leave the hotel and just turn left or right and simply go for a nice walk. Turn right out of this hotel and you have one of the worst beaches I have ever seen together with periodic sewerage stations on one side of the road and run down empty buildings on the other (some are occupied). Turn left and the unpleasant beach continues on one side with a very busy traffic road on the other side.

This is just a location issue and clearly no fault of the Hotel which does deliver on many aspects. It is just a short journey by bus or taxi to Rhodes town and there are many things to do & see. We found two excellent restaurants, Tamam & Wonder which are in Rhodes Town as apposed to the "Old town".

Trying to be helpful, choose a room overlooking the pool area as the other rooms do not have a great view. Also, we booked a suite and there is absolutely no need to, we did not use the other room. The main bedroom is very large with a decent size balcony. We chose the B&B option as we prefer to go out in the evening and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from in Rhodes town as well as the old town. Weather great in mid-late September, not too hot and with a gentle breeze.

I'm sure my comment about walking locally will not bother many readers, particulary those who will be visiting lots of tourist attractions but for us, it was a "chill out" week and therefore relevant as we both enjoy good beaches but sadly not this one. We understand that there are some great beaches in Rhodes and I will have to do my research better next time!

Our four * rating is for the room (overlooking the pool!), staff, pool area and Al a carte restaurants (we did not try the buffet food so cannot comment)

Room Tip: Pool view is a must!

Having arrived only yesterday I am very impressed we were met by a very friendly receptionist and within minutes taken to our very large room given a full run down on hotel mealtimes etc had a very pleasant evening meal. We were woken up by the most horrendous thunder storm and witnessed a twister which lifted up sunbeds umbrellas tables and chairs and uprooted trees right outside our balcony and amazed that by midday all was back to normal. Have just found out by a local that yhey have never experienced a storm like it it measured F2 on scale apparently very bad storm never seen before. I will review again at the end of my stay here but I'm sure it will be good .

If you want the best..dont settle for anything less..than the Atrium Platinum!

I have just returned from another fabulous 6 night stay at the Atrium Platinum Hotel, our second visit in 6 months. What makes the hotel so special? It’s not just that it’s a beautiful hotel, there are plenty of them in Rhodes. It’s the staff , who go out of their way to really ensure your stay is a truly memorable one, and are the Atrium Platinum’s Hotel’s, greatest asset, their heart and soul. From the moment we checked in, from the bell boys to the reception to all areas of the hotel, the staff really made the difference for us, made us feel as valued guests.

A special mention to Christos, the restaurant manager and his team of dedicated staff, in particular Marketa, Petra & Michelis , dining in this restaurant was a wonderful experience, the staff here are true professionals, and really made a big difference to our stay, the welcome we received from Christos every evening and being showed to our table by the matre’de , then the care and attention of the staff here. Dining here was an absolute delight, the food was exquisite to our tastes, so much choice from the buffet, and also an a different a la carte option to choose from every evening, Asian, Italian, Seafood..so much to choose from.. we absolutely loved it!

The location of the hotel for us was perfect, secluded enough to be quiet, yet close enough to the hustle and bustle if you like…approx. 25-35 minutes’ walk from the entrance of the hotel , with amazing views along the coast and down to the fortified walls of Rhodes old town & Castle, you will arrive at the ancient ruins of Rhodes, great for exploring . There are also many bars, resturants and shops withing walking distance from here, and regular bus service. Our taxi to the airport was 20 mins.

Thank you to all the staff at the Atrium Platinum Hotel for making our stay so wonderful.. we hope to have the pleasure to return again sometime soon, and thanks again for the lovely gesture of the gifts and sweets at the end of our stay!

Very friendly people - great team - great hotel with lovely spacious accommodation. Modern and well equipped. Great pool bar, lovely food - although the main pool was really cold! Still braved it and went in, although used the smaller pools more often which were a touch warmer! Would highly recommend. A short journey in a taxi up to old Rhodes Town was worth it - we went there several evenings to explore and get a meal. Used the gym a few days - is good but could perhaps do with some more CV equipment as there are only a couple of bikes and running machines. Overall - a fantastic hotel, great team, good food, which provided a relaxing break. Would recommend.
