Just got back from 3 nights at this hotel - 2 couples each with an infant. From the moment the volunteered to put us in a family suite - 2 bedroom, 2 bathrooms with a private balcony complete with a pool - we knew this would be a fabulous experience. Is it 5 stars? No - most hotels in this area that claim they are - aren't. But is it a fabulous resort? YES! Great pool, great food, great staff - a bit lacking on the attention to detail but no major complaints. We looked at a lot of hotels before choosing this one, do yourself a favor, look no further.

My husband and 2 teenage children had a wonderful 4 day stay at Atrium Platinum before heading to the small island of Kastellorizo. The resort is modern, has spacious new rooms with great sunset views, great facilities and a fabulous breakfast selection. The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful - especially Michaeli in reservations and Antreas were very welcoming and helped to make our stay very enjoyable. Resort is also in a convenient location, short taxi ride to old town. Very relaxing stay and would definitely stay here again.

Prior to our trip my wife and I had significant expectations - We had booked a top floor deluxe sea view room with private pool (room 714 - seventh floor - no one overlooking) - The hotel , the staff, the overall facilities and the room didn't disappoint us in any way - it was a fabulous stay and we can thoroughly recommend it. The hotel is fairly new I think 4/5 years maximum and deserves its five star rating - We stayed for two weeks ( 2 July 14) on a full board basis and our package included a day at the hotel spa.

The hotel is situated on the outskirts of Ixia a short distance from the main town of Rhodes - The location was ideal for us as this side of the island benefits from a constant breeze which takes the edge off the baking sun - we visited the other side of the island (Lindos) and although very beautiful it was very hot and dry with no benefit of a coastal breeze. Rhodes town can be easily reached in about 15 minutes by local bus c1.80 euros per person almost every 15 minutes (but can be packed tight) or a taxi for around 8-10 euros. I also found it walkable in about 40 minutes at a brisk pace.

Hotel Dining
The main restaurant is located on the 8th floor (as is reception) - There is a very comprehensive buffet with food ranging from all sorts of breads, soup, salad, various fish dishes, lamb, pork, chicken, pasta, etc and then there is a fresh fruit area with melon, kiwi, fruit salad, fruit juices (Cava also available in the morning - look for the ice bucket we took 4 days before we discovered it) - There is also a grill area where you can order your omelette, etc. There is also an ice cream bar that makes up waffles, pancakes and crepes to order and there is always a wide selection of cakes and deserts - In the morning you are served tea/coffee fruit juice and as with most hotels for lunch and dinner you have to purchase your drinks including bottles of water but the prices were reasonable. My wife is lactose intolerant and has to have gluten free food - All staff in the hotel were genuinely very friendly and polite at all times and no request was a problem - the service was excellent - if my wife requested some wheat/gluten free bread she received a plate of freshly made bread within minutes - the chefs were first class and offered her a number of special evening dishes including Carbonara and a Chocolate pudding which she enjoyed so much she reordered them both in week two. In the evening, as well as, the buffet there are also a few choices of courses which you can order and be served at your table - samples of these are displayed at the buffet so you can view these to help you select your choice.

To be honest the full board was possibly overkill for us in terms of the amount of food - judging by the small numbers of people in the restaurant at lunchtime when we were there probably indicated that there were only a few guests on full board and we concluded that with our resulting weight gain we should maybe have opted for half board but it was nice to have on this occasion :-) There are also other specialised restaurants in the hotel where you can book a special meal for a little bit extra (c 40 euros plus) but we enjoyed the main restaurant so much we had no big desire to try the others. For a special treat request a table at the window of the restaurant and watch the sun go down over Turkey which is just across the water - when we were there this occurred between 8 and 8:30 pm - it was so nice many people including ourselves got the camera out.

Facilities
The pool and lounge area is super it is spacious and there were multiple areas including sun loungers/umbrellas and from what we could see there was no one struggling to find a lounger etc as can happen in other hotels. In truth though we made little use of this area as we had a balcony with its own chairs, loungers and small pool and used this area to relax on a daily basis it was fantastic and definately recommended if you can get a good deal, but be aware the pool is not a deep type swimming pool but is large enough for 2/3 folks to lounge about and cool down (worth considering the purchase of a lilo 6 -10 euros if you go for the private pool). The room was first rate it included: a safe; a fridge (mini bar); tea and coffee facilities including a coffee machine as well as instant - items restocked daily; a bathroom with a shower twin sinks and a separate jacuzzi bath - all towels, soaps, shampoos etc also restocked daily. Twin beds and an extra sofa type bed, television and free standard wifi (faster wifi a little extra). The room and balcony were spotless and were cleaned daily - again the staff /maids were excellent if you needed an extra towel or something you only had to ask.

In summary 'the best ever' holiday but the main decider was this hotel and its staff - superb !

Room Tip: If going for a private pool then I would recommend the 7th floor 'sea view' - ours was perfe...

Thank you to Christos and all his staff at Atrium Platinum for making our holiday (and my birthday) so memorable. My boyfriend and I stayed at the Atrium Platinum in June and this was our 5th visit there.
The rooms are clean, spacious and have gorgeous views over the pool area and the sea beyond. The staff are great, so helpful and charming, and the food is delicious. Truly relaxing break in a truly fabulous hotel!
Thank you!! // a very happy couple from Sweden, who will most certainly return again in the future

Room Tip: Choose a seaview room for superb views and sunny balconies.

My wife and i have recently returned from our lateat holiday at the ATRIUM PLATINUM HOTEL.This is a 5 star situated in Ixia on the Greek Island of Rhodes.TheAtrium Platinum is a wonderful hotel lovely spacious rooms, all with sea views and air cocditioning. There is a beautiful swimming pool with plenty of sunbeds. This is complimented by a pool bar and pool restaurant. The services in these areas, asin all areas of the hotel is absolutely outstanding.Beautiful so just relax and enjoy.
The main restuarant is beautifully laid out and very inviting, it is really well organised by Cristos the Waiter and the kitchen staff. The food is something else.In a word or 3 words,Excellent,Superb,Fantastic. The quality and quantity of the food produced is amazing. My only regret here is that i did not know some of the chefs names. There was always one or two on duty, especially at dinner, these men and women do an absolutely fantastic job on the food they produce. We went half board and we never had to wait for anything.
The service at the hotel is brilliant from the front desk to the cleaners and to the ground staff.Everyone is very attentive to your needs and whatever the problem, it will be dealt with professionally and with the right result for the guest.
We have got to know some of the staff during our holidaysto the Atrium Platinum. If we were to give one piece of advice it would be to get to know the staff if you can.We did like Tasos,Manual,Kostas and Andreas all at the front desk. Then there was Nicos and Andreas who looked after the pool.We have Cristos the Head Waiter and Michalis the waiter who looked after us for our two weeks. There was Mary the cleaner and her friends who made our beds and cleaned our room.Vasilios the gardener who could not speak any english and we could not speak any greek, but we would great each other when we when we were round the pool.We would shake hands and have a hug.Friendship has no language barriers.
We had a great holiday , and as far as we are concerned this is a 5 Star plus.We hope to go again next year.

We have just spent a week at this truly 5 Star Hotel in Ixia, Rhodes. The hotel has only been open for 4 years so is very modern and fresh. We had the Executive Room which was a good size lounge and bathroom and a crescent shaped balcony... The restaurant which is located on the 8th floor offers a spacious dining facility with amazing views across the sea to the Turkish mountains which is spectacular at sunset. The food that is available is incredible with so much selection and something for everyone. The hospitality of the hotel staff is exceptional and must be commended. The pool area is well laid out with multi-level pools and sunbed areas with a inviting outdoor bar in the center and drinks served to your sunbed. There is basic entertainment for most evenings but this could be improved so could the Internet speed which is ok for Facebook updated, What's App & Emails but forget streaming or downloading files!

And finally... One small tip... It you are located on the 3rd floor, for the glass elevators you need to push the Down button to go up and the Up button to go down!!!

A truly 5 Star Experience...
