“"Full hand - all five"!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 September 2013

Last minute, one week vacation, by Suntours (Aurinkomatkat) and it turned out to be a fantastic experience in Rhodes, and mostly because of our lovely hotel Agla! We can't praise the most professional and friendly staff enough, everything was made possible and accessible, the A/C for a little fee, the safety deposit box, extended stay, you name it... The breakfast was just what we needed, with again with the most friendly service and not to even mention the great lunch service at the pool. The Mini-Market attached to the hotel was a treat, too! We highly recommend the hotel and hopefully we can go back... Our sincerest Thank You!

It is a great hotel with great staff. We have been there for a 14 day holiday with 18 month infant. As soon as we arrived I have asked at the reception if I can have a small kettle for preparing baby milk in the room. The kettle with coffee cups were arranged immediately. The staff is ready there to help you on any problem. The breakfast is always filled up and fresh(though basic). The rooms are cleaned every day and towels changed every day.
The location is perfect, the beach of Mediterranean sea is only 2-3 minutes walk.THough this side is a bit windy. But there is another beach which is Aegean sea, just 10-15 minutes walk. The old town with its mystic buildings and streets are just 10 minutes walk from the hotel. Many great restaurants cafes are situated nearby. The shopping are is also at hand.
There is a good market beside the hotel where you can purchase everything starting from food and drink,up to souvenirs and body care stuff.
To be short I am very satisfied with the hotel and especially staff.

Dear Guests from Armenia,
Thank you so much for your very comprehensive review. It was beautifully written to and I will certainly pass on congratulations to all the staff. As a smaller hotel we do search for staff we know wil go that extra mile for the clients and I am deighted to hear your comments

Just returned from a two week holiday in Rhodes, staying at the Agla hotel.
It is ideally situated for the beach, restaurants and 'The Old Town'.
Also there is always a cool breeze so even when the temperature reaches the high 30s, it is never uncomfortable.
This by far one of the best run and friendliest hotel we have stayed at in Europe or America.
The staff couldn't do enough for us, they were brilliant.
I hope the owner appreciates what a great team he has working for him.

John & Jayne

Room Tip: Go for a sea view the breeze keeps you cool

We have had some lovely reviews lately and we thank you for adding to them. Yes we are indeed in a great position re the breeze during the hottest time of the year. In the winter the wind switches to the other side of the island and we have a sea like a millpond. We will pass on your comments about the staff as we always do, we are one of the hotels that really values their staff and I think it comes out in their attitude to work and our guests. As a smaller hotel we know the importance of having the right staff .
Thank you once again.

This is a lovely hotel, clean, spacious and fairly modern. Breakast varied and plentiful but a bit monotonous with the scrambled egg. The staff all named below couldn't do enough for you, they were all fabulous. Tassos please remember to tell Claudia to "turn that frown upside down" she has a beautiful smile! Its the windy side of Rhodes and in peak season this is good as the wind/breeze is much welcomed. The beach is full of pebbles and the waves drag your clothes off - remember to take shoes that you can wear into the sea. Old Rhodes is only 10 mins walk and fabulous as is the harbour, shops, bars and restaurants. One tip for the ladies... the hairdryer in the bathroom is rubbish, but if you take your own the "only" plug socket available is the other end of the room with no mirror. PS: you will also need "extra hold" hairspray due to the wind. Also gay couples are very welcome at this hotel.

Room Tip: 418 was a nice room with balcony overlooking the pool, roof of pool bar and a small bit of the beach...

Good location, near beach. Friendly staff, good meal on breakfast , international and local cuisine (tastefull selfmade coffe in sand). Very clean rooms, very good room seaview up 4 floor, windy beach (very good for seasports). Nearby to downtown (10 min). The pool it's not sunny all the day, few sunbeds on sunny part.

Room Tip: Up to 4 floor, seaview, corner side.

Just returned from 2 weeks at the Agla, it was our fifth holiday to Rhodes Town but our first time at the Agla, and we couldn't have wished for a better hotel.A very warm welcome and although our room wasn't ready we were offered a suite until the following day.The next day at noon we got our double room as promised on the fourth floor with a fantastic sea view! and free aircon (which we have always had to pay for in other hotels in Rhodes). Breakfast was good and the staff couldn't have friendlier. The room was cleaned every day and bedding and towels every other day. The bathroom/shower facilities were very good compared to other hotels we have stayed.Great location,2 mins to windy beach, and to top it all a fantastic Italian restaurant (Capricci) just over the road. All in all a great stay and would definitely go back to the Agla when next in Rhodes.

Dear Guests from Leicester. Thank you for your great review which covered everything and we are so pleased that you think our hotel is one of the best in Rhodes. We do strive to give value for money and personal service. By the way I lived in Blaby, Near Leicester for one year in the 60's and loved it.
We do hope that your return to visit us,

We stayed here for 2 nights during a 2 week trip to Rhodes. The hotel was very clean and although on the larger side with being in a city was very friendly and reasonably priced. The breakfast was fab, plenty of choice. The rooms were very clean and large enough with a nice bathroom with shower and toiletries. Rhodes town itself was fab, plenty to do and see, the old town was very busy but worth a visit for the history. We went to a bar down a back street but i cant remember what it was called, it was fab though with lovely lights outside and comfy chairs and played cool music, like a studenty type place. Would definitely recommend a visit if going to Rhodes, we drove there in a rental car and it only took about 1 1/2 hours.

A great review, thank you so much. I am so glad you made the most of your stay and visited the Old Town as well as local cafes. One of the really good things about the position of our hotel is that it is in a quieter area ( you note I do not say quiets!) but within walking distance of nearly all the main attractions Rhodes Town has to offer.
I was happy to hear you liked our hotel and the town too.
