This small hotel was gem in the old town of Rhodes. We were pleasantly surprised upon arriving as we were upgrades to a larger room with an door terrace overlooking the courtyard. The room was very clean and every morning we enjoyed a vast assortment of great food and fresh squeezed orange juice. Marianne the proprietor and her daughter Maria were very friendly and helpful. We were given great tips on what to see and the best restaurants and what to avoid.
The location was was quiet and restful and the courtyard was there for even more serenity.
A great place to stay in the heart of the old town in Rhodes

My family (total of 6) visited Rhodes off-season in December, traveling from the United States. We decided to stay at the S. Nikolis and are so very glad we did! The hotel is located in the Old Town and reflects the wonderful atmosphere of a time long past, while providing the comforts expected of a hotel/inn in the modern era. Each room is unique, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The owners and members of the staff were very friendly and helpful - especially Marianne, who went out of her way to make us comfortable and to make suggestions of things to do on Rhodes during the off-season. All of her suggestions were spot-on. Traveling with children of any age, it is important to feel safe - and we did feel very safe at this hotel, and in the Old Town in general. The S. Nikolis Hotel (and Rhodes) has now joined a short list of places to return to again and again. We live in the United States, so it is a bit of a haul to get here - but at the end of the journey, there is a warm welcome, comfortable rooms and plenty of adventures to partake in.

Room Tip: Take a look at the photos online and contact the hotel if you have questions. We had 2 rooms and 1 s...

What a charming, clean, little diamond tucked in Old Rhodes Town. My family and I had the most memorable stay at S. Nikolis Hotel. Marianne, Sotiris, and Maria treated us as an extension of their own family. Extremely warm, welcoming, and hospitable beyond any words that can be written. They not only left us with memories of a fabulous trip, they left us memories of a LIFETIME! Their boutique hotel is just perfect. I can close my eyes and remember our beautiful room, our breakfasts on the quaint rooftop, but most of all the faces of our now dear friends. We all can't wait to come back.

Room Tip: Lower rooms if available are great for larger families.

Disappointed, small rooms, even tinier bathroom! Breakfast is basic, minimal variety. Location is good, close to all old town offers. Marianne was helpful, other staff seemed disinterested, end of the season.

Room Tip: View over courtyard nice,no pool

The Nikolis family are warm, helpful hosts in this wonderful town. From connecting us with a very knowledgeable guide for a tour of the old town to finding a car and driver for a tour of Lindos and other sights they were spot on. The hotel is lovely and our room was spacious with a charming deck overlooking the garden. The best part of the whole experience was the feeling that we met and got to know--a little bit at least--a wonderful Greek family.

We spent 5 nights at this hotel and enjoyed our stay very much. Marianne was very friendly and helpful and fun. We got one of the apartments down the street...it was spacious, had a kitchen and was well located. Breakfast on the roof terrace was very good and it was a nice way to start the day. Marianne and her daughter gave us good advice on what to do in the city, arranged a rental car for us as well as an oldtown city tour with an excellent guide. We liked the rustic atmosphere and the location in old town. Stay here with confidence.

Room Tip: We liked the apartment down the street. Rooms were large and comfortable.

We were a bit jetlagged so Mariana offered us one of the apartments the hotel has down the street. It was quiet but also a bit dark and the bathroom and shower definitely needs improvement. However the location of the hotel is fantastic as is the helpfulness of Mariana. She arranged transportation for us on several occasions and could not have been more helpful also in suggesting restaurants and places to visit. So our recommendation is stay in the main hotel.

Room Tip: Stay in the main hotel.
