A living thriving museum come town. this is one of the most under rated places I have ever been. A stunning medieval city with battlements passageways and rooms to visit. Eat in one street drink in another turn the corner and find shops eateries . something different on a different street . step outside to the harbour and see the yachts. I could visit this place every day and enjoy it every time..

Of course you will come to see this as part of a holiday on Rhodes. But, get away from the shops selling souvenirs and walk around with your eyes open. If you can, walk round the moat and imagine the work that went into creating the moat and the walls. Get away from the bustling streets and look at the older buildings; of course there are must-see buildings in the Old Town, but enjoy the ambience away from the crowds - that's what we enjoyed.

A beautiful walled medieval city. There is a great feel about this place. Really love all the old stores, bars and restaurants too.

We visited rhodes on a cruise.
It was so amazing view from the upper deck of the cruiseship as soon as we was nearby the harbour.
The walls were great and the narrow streets took us back to medieval period.
