“Great place for couples!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 June 2014 via mobile

Nice, clean and friendly hotel owned by Sunprime, just by the sea side!
Great accommodation, fresh breakfast with lovely see view!
Free fitness classes, gym and also a spa for those who feel for paying for it.
Really great large salt water pool direct by the sea with lots of free sun beds.
Shoes when bathing in the sea is recommended (but no problem without).
Go there!

I stayed for one week together with my girlfriend in a bungalow.

Before I review Miramare, one thing needs to be addressed. Wherever you end up if you go to Rhodes, west coast, east coast, beware, there is an inflation in the use of "*" to grade the hotels. Along the same avenue as Miramare Park is located for example, there is a bunch of self-proclaimed 5 star locations. If you are used to REAL 5 star establishments you will most likely be disappointed because they just aren't. The places might be very nice, but just because its OK doesn't mean you can stick 5 stars to it willy nilly.

To the review of Miramare. First, the location. Miramare is where you want to be, between the ocean and the road. The road is HEAVILY trafficked all day from early morning to late night so the closer to the sea you can get the better. You probably will get used to the noise, but, if possible get a bungalow or suite with ocean view, to get as far away from the road as possible.

The bungalow we stayed in had partial sea-view from the adjacent terrace. The terrace itself had two chairs, a table and two sunbeds which was really nice. The overall feel of the bungalow was OK, it felt fresh and actually the decor was surprisingly nice. Beds where OK. The AC was VERY good with two apparatus, one in the bedroom and one in the "living room" which made for a very pleasant temperature inside. There is a kitchenette with the basic stuff you need to make your own breakfast, lunch or dinner if you feel like it. The cleaning of the bungalow was very good and it always felt fresh when we got back later in the day. Bathroom was fresh and the shower had a good pressure (which is important =)). However, the bathroom door had started to take damage from the moisture and needed replacement.

The overall area in which all suites and bungalows are located is well taken care of, like a garden which also makes for a soothing and relaxing environment to live in. Also nice is, even tho there really is no beach, there are small stairs leading down to the ocean all along the hotel area. Swimming in a pool is nice, but the ocean is better! If you do rent a car, the hotel offers great parking space.

The pool area, which also consists of the spa, gym and lunch-bar was very crowded but overall nice. However, we tried to avoid it because of how crowded it was (I recommend a trip to Anthony Quinn-bay to get away). Two positives are, there is no annoying music being played constantly and there are no kids. The gym had a lot of different machines which enables for a full body workout. The spa was great, we took two treatments each and the ladies working there where very professional. I highly recommend to treat yourself with a visit or two.

We did not have any meals included, we like to eat out and breakfast we like to make ourselves. Therefor I cant comment on the standard of food/drinks.

Overall service was good and the staff was friendly.

I would recommend this place to anyone, with a few caveats:
- the local road. If you hate the sound of cars, try to find some other place OR get a bungalow/suite right by the sea
- no real beach attached to the hotel
- restaurants in the area left quite a lot to desire (try le gourmet, it was the best we tried all week)

I would rate this place 3 stars, borderline 4 with a few things to improve (like the beds for example). However, it is a really nice place, and not as old/dated as other places close by are. My travel agency rated this place 4+ (whatever the "+" stands for?). Just know that while this isn't the Ritz, its a damn good place, and you most likely will leave satisfied.

Room Tip: Get a room as close to the ocean as possible!

Me and my SO spent a week in Miramare Park this spring. I almost loved everything about this hotel. It is very special in a way - like a small private town or something like that. And it is very very beautiful and calm and quiet. The staff and the service was excellent.

There were some things we were slightly unhappy about. The fact that even if you get an all-included pack, there are still some things you won't be able to get. (for ex. a cappucino during lunch). And we would have loved to get more greek food for lunch and dinner (not mexican or italian).

But these last points I mentioned, don't really matter that much. I loved staying in this hotel and I would recommend it to everyone. And if you have the opportunity, check out the map before you book a room, to get the best view possible, you really wont regret it!
If we ever visit Rhodes again, we would most certainly stay at Miramare Park.

We spent 14 days at this hotel in august 2013. It was expensive, and not worth the money.

Negatives:
- extremely crowded pool area
- staff was rude
- ants in our room
- poor cleaning of room

Positives:
- breakfast, had a variety of choices
- big pool, although crowded
- close to the sea
- easy access to Rhodes city

This hotel really is a charter hotel for tourists. I give them 4 stars.

We arrived the hotel with a half-full shuttlebus from the airport.
When we arrived in the reception, we had an expectation that there would be a good queue system. With so many people arriving the same hotel at the same time, they should have a better routine. There was three receptionists behind the desk, and they just picked out who they wanted to help. We stood there for almost 45 mins, and was one of the first couples that arrived the reception first. Actually we were the first couple! We had to fill out some form for our stay before they could check us in, so we did. But after that it took several minutes before we got any service. Some of the hotels wasn't ready for check-in, so there was a lot of whining people. The time was arround 11-12. To be honest: we didn't have a very good first impression of the staff.

When we got our hotel keys we went out of the reception on the other side and was blown away by the quiet atmosphere and the incredible view. And when we came to our junior suite, we were also very happy. Good interior design and perfect location.

We had sunprime inclusive with 7 days breakfast, 5 days lunch and 5 days dinner. We used 1 day breakfast, 6 days lunch and 3 days dinner. There wasn't anything to say on the food, but they had just a few selected options when you had inclusive. They should have a bit more options in total, rather than selected dishes for each day. And one more thing: when we sat down to have something to eat and one of us got finished before the other, the employees took the plate that was empty. So I felt several times that I was eating alone, and my hubby just sat there looking at me. I also felt like the employees wanted to be efficient, but I don't think it should go out on the visitors.

The pool was close to the beach, the SATS trainers was very accommodating, and the SPA dermatologists was really good (we pre-booked our SPA since we wanted to have a couple spa treatment together).

The location of the hotel was perfect. It was close to supermarkets, close to restaurants, not far by taxi in to Rhodes Centrum (approx. 10 mins), and great beach line so you could walk evening walks.

We are definitely going back at some point. Perfect for couples who want's to nurturing the love. There was both young couples (most of them pregnant), and older couples. The best thing about this hotel was it's age limit!

Room Tip: Junior Suite

Very nice hotel, the infinity pool is wonderful! Breakfast area/restaurant has a good selection, is clean and in a great location! The beach in front of the hotel is very small, so if you're a beach person, perhaps you'd need to travel along the coastline to find something more adequate. The rooms are quite basic, but very clean and tidy which personally I find is the main thing, as I don't spend an awful lot of time in the room anyway. The gardens are well kept also. The location is good and just a short taxi ride to Rhodes town. Very lovely place and had a great holiday!

The header summirizes this place: we went for a week holiday in this hotel in Rhodes (where we've never earlier been). No expectations as Rhodes is not a place where to expect anything.
But what a surprise: the hotel is only for persons over 16 years which means that no screaming children running around. The hotel has recently been renovated and everything is clean and pretty, lot of plantings which will florish even better in the years to come.
We had reserved a Prime BUngalow: bedroom, living room and a small kitchenette (a cooker, a refridgerator, a microwave oven, some dishes and a big terrace with an own pool. Everything was fine: the rooms were clean, big enough, basic accessories available (towels, beach towels, slippers, bathrobes, soap. Separate air condition in the bedroom and in the living room. The private pool was a priviledge - we sunbathed in the afternoon.
The personnel was friendly and there were much of it. Most of the visitors come from Sweden, Norway and Denmark, just a few of us were from somewhere else.
Breakfast was good and healthy: muesli, youghurt, plenty of different vegetables and fruits, bread, cheese, juice and the breakfast is served in the main restaurant where the dinner is avalabile too. We did not eat buffet dinner nor buffet lunch but à la carte and they were good, especially FISH. It was nice to eat outside. We ate a couple of times in a small, small Ixia and though mainly friendly, these town restaurants were more a tourist kind of restaurants. And please notice, Ixia is not a big town, just many restaurants, bars, minimarkets, two supermarkets and lots of beaches - so don't go to Rhodes for shopping.
But one of the best things in this Miramare hotel were great possibilities to be able to active: a good gym, free SATS classes Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri, Sat and the 2 instructors were so friendly and professional (classes either in English or in Swedish depending on the participants in a class). Wonderful holiday with lots of sports.
The hotel has also a SPA but we did not have time for that.
We walked to Rhodes center (around 4,5 - 5 km from the hotel) just to see it but nothing special for us as we did not expect either (but good food, as usually in Greece
So if you want to have a peaceful holiday with a guaranteed sun and a lots of sports/pampering (in a SPA) I can warmly recommend this hotel - I suppose it is the best in Rhodes.

Room Tip: Pay a bit more and you get some privacy if you do not want to stay next to the pool (which is beauti...
