“Very relaxing!”
Reviewed 18 August 2014

Just returned from a ten night stay at Sumprime Miramare. Very relaxing! Room was clean and inviting with bathrobes, slippers and a bottle of red wine on arrival! We stayed in room 1047 which we felt was a perfect location as we had a fantastic view of the sea. The much needed air con worked brilliantly, free safety deposit box and Wifi was available. Our maid was very friendly and kept the room very clean. The walk to
the pool was quite long as the sunprime Miramare resort is huge even staff were travelling around in electric buggy's! The infinity pool had stunning views with Turkey on the horizon. We went self catering only eating breakfast once which worked out at 10 euros each. My husband wasn't impressed with the breakfast but I thought it was okay. We ended up eating alot at the sirtaki taverna across the road, really recommend! Also be very careful when crossing the very busy road the cars will not stop for you we witnessed two car accidents throughout our 10 night stay on the same stretch! The hotel receptionists were extremely helpful especially Mikama (apologies if name is spelt wrong! ) Our Thomas Cook rep was very poor and we didn't book any excursions through her (couldn't tell you her name as she didn't even bother to introduce herself she was more concerned about making excuses for being late, she was also late the week before which we were informed by fellow holiday makers, also she was late the week after) but Mikama helped us book transfers through holiday essentials which we high recommend especially a visit to butterfly valley and Lindos.
Overall a very relaxing holiday.

Literally just arrived home from a 7 nights stay at the Miramare.
We arrived about 2am and reception were very helpful. One porter took my suitcase while everyone else struggled with theirs (I felt a bit bad!) during day arrivals, some people walked to their apartments, some got transferred by golf buggy.
Got into the apartment and it had everything we wanted. Beds, kitchenette, fridge, air con, safe, brittle of wine and patio...not to forget a view of the sea (albeit either side of the apartments in front).
The safe is free to use so that saves money, as is the air con (thank goodness with temps reaching over 40c!) the wonderful maids came every day (we kept do not disturb up til about lunchtime yet they would still come later), and even did the washing up for which I felt guilty even tho to was only a plate or 2.
We went for a wander the next day and thought how peaceful it was then wondered where everyone was??? The lagoon area with restaurant was empty...where was the pool??? We'd failed to read both sides of our info sheet which showed the layout, duh! Unfortunately we were in 1036 (area 1) and the pool and bar was in area 3! Quite a walk each time in that heat, ideally you'd want to be in area 2 if you were to use both restaurant and pool daily :)
The pool is huge and inviting...I don't usually use pools but it was nice to have a dip and cool off :) plenty of sun beds, even if a few are almost constantly in the shade under a tree. I wouldn't advise using the bridge over the pool with wet feet...it's very steep and slippy! Perhaps a non slip surface would help :)
We didn't use the gym (I'm on holiday!!!), the spa or restaurant, and only used pool bar once. There's a shop right next to the pool area :)
Parasols are quite awkward to move and put up, but u soon get the hang of it, a work out in itself, but then it is quite breezy so a heavy base is much needed...as is the breeze :)
You are given pool/beach towels but if u want clean ones u have to pay about €2 at the spa...ah yes the beach!!! Lovely to walk across from apartment and go for a late afternoon swim but you need swim shoes!!! I found some in a supermarket for €6.50, godsend on a stony beach :)
As we didn't use the restaurant, we found places to eat out...we tried a few, Coconut, Rodos Garden, Lunar bar, Dimitrios (?), Sebastiens...all provided decent service and food but no one will ever match up to the boys of the FBI bar (glory days, Finest Bar Inn)
They were always welcoming, never made u feel pressured into eating at their restaurant and would do anything for you, and they give u a bill each time u order so u tally up and pay when you're ready, not try and get someone's attention and then want another 20 mins for bill to arrive!
On our last day we had to check out by 12pm but we could leave suitcases in reception and keep towels for pool. When we were ready we exchanged towels for clean ones and used the courtesy room for a shower, turn air con on or u sweat drying off lol!

Would I return to this hotel? Yes I would, even tho I only really used the apartment and pool, but I'd request an area 2 room :)

We stayed for a week at this hotel in early August, the only downside was that we didn't stay for longer! We arrived at about 1am, the third drop from the airport. The hotel looks lovely from the outside so we were smug as we got off the coach!
We checked in no problem and were shown to room 2012 which wasn't far from reception, on the way to the pool. Upon arrival we had a bottle of red wine in the room and water in the fridge which was great as meant we didn't have to find an open shop to get water at 1am.
The room itself was great- the best foreign hotels I've ever stayed in by far. It was an apartment, we had a ground floor one, which had a kitchenette, lovely bathroom with bath and a living room with bed and chaise in it. There were lots of plug points and even a UK adaptor already plugged into one of the sockets. The little things really do make a difference. We were provided with beach (bonus!) and shower towels, as well as a dressing gown and slippers each. The back doors opened to an outside sitting area with a table and two sun loungers, we also had a beautiful sea view.
We were self catering as we like to eat out and have variety, and I would recommend this highly as there are some lovely restaurants in close proximity as well as in Rhodes Town. The kitchenette in the apartment has a microwave oven which has a grill which we used for toast in the morning (you need patience but it WILL toast eventually!) so you could easily prepare food in your room, and best of all? the maid does your washing up if you leave any which we were guilty of...
Some people have reviewed that they felt the staff were a bit off as they were from the UK- the staff were a bit stand-off-ish with us, but we didn't care! It could have been for a number of reasons but it didn't affect our enjoyment, we just found it funny. There aren't many Brits staying in the hotel, this didn't bother us at all, as it was nice to mix with other nationalities. The main groups being Scandinavian and German. Be warned though, the Scandinavian ladies are a BEAUTIFUL breed, not great for the self esteem!
There was always plenty of space around the pool, and some sunbeds down on the beach- which was gorgeous, the sea was beautiful, but if you're a wimp like me you'll need swimming shoes- which are available in loads of the local supermarkets. The Sunprime part of the beach was next to the watersports area where you could while the time away watching people learn to windsurf.
A few tips for you- try the Passion and Paradise cocktails at the hotel- yummy, as is the Miramare cocktail. Try and catch a lift to the pool on one of the golf buggies!
If eating out locally try Le Gourmet which is opposite the hotels mini market up a side street. FAB food and atmosphere- nobody pulling you into the restaurant. Romeo's was good for lunch- pizza was gorgeous.
If you go into Rhodes Town, be aware that it is very busy and HOT even at night. We struggled finding our way around and ended up having gelato for dinner one night as we couldn't decide where to go... The second time we went it was fab however and you must eat the Greek platter at Odyssey- was the best meal we had all week, even though the restaurant was hard to find hidden in the old town (thank goodness for Google Maps and Smartphones)
Enjoy! We certainly did.

We have just returned from the amazing Sunprime Miremare, we spent a week here, self catering as we did not want to be tied to one place! Our apartment was a basic one, number 1047. It had plenty of room and was clean and comfortable! Staff were always friendly and helpful, if we ever needed them. The pool area was calm and peaceful, the fact no children under 16 are allowed makes the hotel even better! It was a one minute walk from our room to the beach, which is stoney until you get into the sea! We had lunch at the pool bar on a few occasions, which was reasonably priced and enjoyable. We did have some notice from the hotel next door on a few occasions but it didn't bother us too much. We will definitely be visiting again!

We stayed in 3114 and the room is in great size, small kitchen with fridge, bathtub and good closetspace, medium balcony. We lived close to the pool and pool restaurant but the restaurant where the breakfast was served was a 2min walk.
Breakfast - standard but not the best.
The cleaning - we put ut signs to not be desturbed because we felt that cleaning was not necesarry every day. They gave us lots of toiletpaper and changed towels and sheets at our request.
Pool - the pool area is big and beautiful. Ixia only had stonebeaches but if you want to swim in the ocean it is a short walk.
Such a releaf to avoid familytravelsers and enjoy peace and quite, perfect for couples all ages.
The staff is very polite and helpful. The noise from traffic and bars/restaurants along the road is not bothering at all. There are supermarkets all around so we did not book the all inclusive as we wanted to visit other restaurants during our stay. We did not visit the gym
But observed many others that did. Wateraerobics in the pool was fun!!

This hotel is simply paradise with high standards. We had a Superior bungalow with a view to the garden. Rooms were clean and fresh. Very nicely furnished with daily cleaning. Bathrobes, slippers and towels. We got to enjoy our very good breakfast with stunning view and calm music. The breakfast was a wide range of hot and cold dishes. Omelets are made for you by the cook every other day. You choose the filling. There were pancakes, cereals, egg and bacon and all the trimmings, breads, and everything was simply delicious. We were very happy with everything that the hotel had to offer and had the most comfortable stay.

The hotel has mostly scandinavian guests and some british. There's a good mix of young couples, and families with teen kids. There is a 16 years age limit at the hotel making it quiet and calm without the noise from kids. The receptionists are very helpful and nice and always available to answer any questions. We rented a car and the hotel has a good cooperation with Avis making it a safe and comfortable affair. Really everything about this hotel is just great. Located close to the main road. So i guess it can be a bit noisy from the Metal bar across the street who has live bands play every night. But it depends on where your bungalow is located. We could hear it a little from our place but to be honest it was quite nice to sit in the garden and listen since they play hit after hit :)

The pool is simply stunning (with salt water), beautiful view to the ocean, and we never experienced it to be too crowded. There was always a sunbed for everyone. There's activities for everyone everday (except wed and sun). I recommend joining the Water aerobics in the pool at noon. Its great fun, lead by the fitness girls, and a way to get some exercise in to the day.

Its a bit of a walk to the pool area and spa since the hotel area is pretty large. And we have to pass the party hotel next door to get there but its absolutely worth it. We did not try swimming at the beach by the hotel since it was quite rocky and wavey. But we saw some people trying it out. Looked alright.

Across the street from the hotel you'll find some of the best places to eat in Rhodes. Sirtaki has the best authentic greek cuisine with the most friendly staff youll come across. Or if your looking for something more simple try Glory Days Sportsclub (FBI). They have great pita gyros and drinks served by the nicest guys who will remember you everytime you go back.

We will definitely recommend and return to Sunprime Miramare Beach. ♥

We were here in July 2014. It was hot and sunny. Our bungalow was perfect, clean and tidy. We had all-inclusive and it was just about worth it. The breakfast was good, alot to choose from. The lunch was ok and the dinner too (both buffées). The staff was very friendly and nice. Great poolarea with a ocean-view, but be up early to get yourself a poolbed. The gym was really good equipped. All in all a place worth visiting again.
