We have just returned from a weeks stay at this hotel & found it to be excellent by mediterranean standards. We arrived at 5.30 in the morning & was greeted by a lovely, efficient young man on the front desk who kindly gave me the keys to 3 rooms so that I could have a look at each one and decide which suited us best! We had a lovely spacious, bright family room with 2 double beds, a further single bed, a huge balcony overlooking the sea and higher level swimming pool. The room was lovely and quiet, the beds were really comfy and house keeping kept the room spotless throughout our stay.
The breakfast buffet every morning was lovely, sat outside on the sun terrace by the pool. The restaurant staff were excellent, extremely efficient, polite and very friendly. The buffet consisted of the usual breakfast items: cereals, meats, cheeses, hot cooked selection, omelettes & pancakes made freshly to order. My only niggle was the lack of fresh fruit such as melon, pineapple, strawberries at breakfast.
Evening buffets again were excellent with a very good choice that would suit all. We did not try any of the other hotel restaurants therefore it would be unfair of me to comment. The hotel has 3 good sized outdoor pools, always somewhere to sit & the pool on the upper level always seemed to be the more quieter of the 3. There is also a spa & indoor pool which looked nice although we never used these facilities.
Food and beverages were quite expensive in the hotel but this is generally the case in 5* properties, however a short 5 minute walk either way outside of the hotel takes you to a good choice of bars/cafes/restaurants that are more favourably priced. A short bus journey into Rhodes Town or an €8 one way taxi journey will give you lots of choices of restaurants, shopping and bars in the old town, this is well worth the effort.
We were very impressed with the Sheraton Rhodes Hotel and would certainly go again.

Room Tip: Definitely recommend seaview over mountain view.

I stayed here for 7 nights- 3 business followed by 4 for pleasure. We were holding a metting of about 40 people in the hotel- we came from all over Europe and found the sun and warmth that we've all been starved off this year all across Europe. The stay was planned with Michele Clarke- who is truly one in a million- so much attention to detail and highly professional.
My room was spacious with a to-die-for sea view and an enormous balcony- just wonderful waking up every morning to all that blue! The bed is deliciously comfortable- mattress, sheets and pillows. Whether you've worked hard all day or spent it sightseeing or sunbathing you'll welcome this comfort at the end of each day.
Breakfast was great and plentiful. We had lunch and dinner a couple of times at the Italian restaurant (not the buffet restaurant) and would higjly recommend.
The drive to/from the airport was about 20 minutes by taxi, and 15 minutes or so to get into the old town. True the beaches on this side of the island aren't anywhere near as beautiful as those on the other side but the swimming pools (3 or 4 of them) are there to be enjoyed- and you can always drive/take a bus to Lindos for the day.
Rhodes is very beautiful and needs more than one visit- and we can't wait to go back to the Sheraton Resort

Room Tip: Get a room with a sea view- absolutely worth the extra

We are just back from our 2nd visit to Ixia in Rhodes but first time at Sheraton. We had a brilliant time. We got a junior suite which was great. The pool was a lovely setting. We met and spent time with some really friendly people and the animation team at the hotel made this such a fun 2 week stay. Thank you so much to them. Also a big thank you to the lovely staff at breakfast and the evening meal who also made this our best holiday ever. Will definitely come back.

We're just back from our third visit to this hotel - the first two were during Hilton's management. We had a great time due mainly to the fantastic facilities, exceptional staff (many long standing) and, of course, the sun! The new pool has hugely improved the overall aquatic experience, not least in relation to the number of sun loungers - no aggressive 'towel placing' here. Cleaning standards as ever were first rate. However, whilst OK - the buffet operation for both breakfast and lunch is not 5 star. The excellent 'omelette' chef propped up the breakfast experience - where was the platter of sliced melon? Similarly, the evening 'station' was a welcome contrast to the often bland fare elsewhere. Further, the minimal 'credit' for the Italian restaurant and even lunch made upgrading prohibitively expensive. We had lunch by the pool once and it was great. The Italian option was hugely appealing - a shame given that it was always nearly empty. Why not increase the allowance, enhance the overall experience and see the secondary spend sore! All in all though - a fantastic week.

Room Tip: Sea View always worth the extra!

Stayed for 5 days during a conference mid-May.

The hotel itself is beautiful with a view to the Aegean from the lobby and upper floors.

The room was one of the best I've ever stayed at (many 5-star hotels in the U.S. included) and was cleaned daily.
Especially liked the comfy bed/mattress and the bath.

The facilities (gym, pool, restaurant) are top class.

The breakfast was very good, although i admit having omelette each and every morning (thank you Dimitri!).
The coffee usually served was mediocre (as in almost every hotel i've stayed at), but then again the staff make some excellent Greek coffee!

The hotel is linked to the beach through an underground crossing.
The beach is nothing special, and since it was also windy I opted for the pool during my stay.

Wi-fi and internet access is free in the lobby for 45 minutes. After a half-hour break you get another 45 minutes, and so on.
Access from the room comes with a ridiculous price-tag.

All i saw from the area around the hotel was the way to/from the bus station (1 minute on foot).
Bus service to/from Rhodes is not very frequent (1-2 times/hour) and not very punctual (5-10 minutes off schedule is usual).
A taxi ride to/from Rhodes costs 7-8 euros.
Would definitely recommend renting a car if you are staying for several days and want to travel around the island.

Finally, a big thank you to the hotel staff.
They were always friendly, polite and helpful.
