after having a very good stay in October 2010(see Tripadvisor)
I got now from Mr. Magafas Michalis,
the room division manager, a room in the front of the hotel
facing the beautiful sea,the Tutkish mountains and the big pool.
It was wonderful day time and also evenings, with the beautiful lights of the hotel.
Anothe new surprise:
2 Israeli t.v channels,in my flat screen t.v-very good.
TODA-RABA תודה רבה
thank-you
Mr. Michalis.you made my 3rd stay in your lovely and friendly hotel-

we have just had a week here and where told this was the first season they have done all inlcusive.we had the good fortune too meet lady mitsis with here husband erol flynn.this was the first week of the season and when we arrived the hotel was not at all busy, but by mid week is was quite busy. there are only two bars, one where you can only pay for drinks and can`t get drinks if you are all inclusive and the other is all inclusive only and can`t by drinks, so we met a friend who was half board and had to walk to the other bar each time and bring it back to us. the all inclusive bar only sits about 30 people and just out side about 30 more so when its very busy where do you go? the food was very good especially the italian, but the main restaurant was under staffed, you are shown to your seat and can be sat next to anybody, the tables are very close to each other so a private or romantic conversation is out of the question. you order a drink from the waiter and it takes a long time too come. in fact most times we where eating desert by time it came. the rooms are very clean and tidy, round the pool was quite.on the whole we enjoyed the hotel but the all inclusive need more work the snacks where limited in choice.

Before coming to this hotel we have looked at the reviews, some of which were not very pleasant and we almost were ready to see an old hotel with awful stuff and broken furniture in the hotel room (this opinion were made from the reviews below). So we were really surprised that we havent seen nothing from the abovesaid.
1) - Check in took just 10 min, despite the fact that there was a big group of tourists from Israel arrived just before us. We were given a registration card, which we calmly filled in the room and gave back to the reception desk when we had time.
2) - We were stayed at this hotel from 28/04 till 05/05, though at this period there was not so many young people in the hotel, we have met some nice people from the stuff of the hotel who was really friendly and helpful, they gave us a lot of useful advices what we should look at on Rhodes and where to go, so we had quite fun time in Greece. The stuff in the hotel is really nice, we had just once a problem in the restaurant when we asked a waitress for a water and need to wait almost 15 min. But that was the only one thing I was upset because.
3) - Room: Sure, the hotel is not so brand new and we had some scratches on the balcony but as we had a sea view (which is so beautiful) we even havent noticed that scratches. I think some reviews were made quite long time ago and the hotel have some reconstructions from that time. Rooms are not so big but (which is more important) not so small! In the room they have a special place for your luggage, which we found very useful. The stuff replaced the towels everyday and sometimes when they couldnt find a towels to replace they just gave another ones, so at the last day we had 9 towels in the room instead of 6.
4) Hotel: The hotel has a perfect location, Old town is just 10min from it, Bar street - 5 min. Everything is close. The Hotel is very comfortable, clear. Every early morning we watched from balcony how stuff washing the floors, clear the swimming pool, cutting flowers and etc. and I would say that they make it with love! On the groundfloor and near the swimmpool there is a free wi-fi if you need.
5) Food: If you want to have a diet during your holidays- never come here;) The food is just perfect, they have a very-very big choice and EVERYTHING soooo tasty! And you also can have a-la-carte dinner in chinese or italian restaurant (before you need to register on reception). We were in italian one and we fall in love with fish there and slads (but be careful, portions are big). Everywhere in the restaurant there is managers walking around and watching that everything is ok, they are very friendly and nice! Some people said that it is quite expensive to pay for a drinks on the dinner (1l water -2.5 EUR, Glass wine - 4 EUR), actually it is up to you to buy it or not but compare to other 5-stars hotels thats a cheap prices! For example, a glass of wine in the Old Town or on the Bar street will cost 5 EUR, water(0.5l) - 3EUR. We had a HB and it was enough we just 2 times had a lunch in the city, other times we had some fruits and ice cream in the city)) And if you are lazy to have a breakast in the restaurant - one call on the reseption and for 2EUR they will serve it in your room.
6) Security: We thought to rent a safe to hold there our money, passports and etc. But we didnt. So we had a notebooks, iphones and ipods laying on the table and nothing has happened. Once I forgot my gold earings in the bathroom and went for the hole day to excursion (I was quite nurveous because of that) but thanx, when I came back they were right on the place were I left them. Next day I left 2EUR for cleaning women on the bed but they didnt take it! So we left some money on the departure day.
Rhodes is a fantastic, people there are soooo friendly and open-minded, shopping is just perfect (leather, honey, cosmetics, sweets, wine, feta, olives - dont miss a chance to buy it!) I would say that we were in few hotels on Rhodes and this one is definitely the best one!!! We are going to back there in august and I would definitely recommend it to everyone!

Room Tip: Room should be definitely with sea view

Having read the mixed reviews we had our doubts on staying at the hotel (23 - 30 April 2011) but overall the hotel was nice as was our room. The food was very very good and we had lunch on our last day having missed the evening meal due to our late arrival times. Again the food was very good. We had a lovely time using the pool at the front of the hotel whilst serious sun worshipers used the main pool area.
The hotel was very impressive at the reception area as well as the restaraunts but this does not qualify for a 5 star rating. A few guests on our Thomas Cook holiday package did have problems booking in so maybe we were just lucky. I did find it annoying having to pay 35 Euros for 1 weeks use of the room safe, surely a 5 star rated hotel should supply this as a matter of security to their guests needs. Also the hire of towels for bathing is 15 Euros each for your stay but this is refundable when you return the towels.
If you are booked on a package holiday and you know that you will miss meals on arrival or departure, be sure to get a card request from the reception for missed meals and use it for a lunch on a date that suits you.
Mineral water in the hotel is 2.50 euros for a litre bottle and you can purchase 6 litre bottles around the corner for the same price. A fridge is in your room so drink and food can be stored in it for no cost.
A 10 minute stroll along the seafront will take you into the old town and harbour area and most locals can speak English.

My daughter and I stayed in this hotel for Easter 2011. We found it to be clean, the food very good and the staff pleasant and helpful. The television in my room was not working properly, but after a call to Reception it was removed and replaced, all in about 10 minutes. Our rooms were pleasant, overlooking the gardens. We didn't travel on a "Package" deal, but travelled independantly. This may have made a difference. People on "All inclusive" did have to use a different bar, but that was to make things easier for the hotel for drinks etc. Idon't think it would be a good choise for "All inclusive" as it is not really geared for this. It is really somewhere for adults to use as a base for exploring the town and the island.

Room Tip: Don't go

we had the misfortune to stay at this alleged 5 star hotel and would only rate it 3 star at the most.
the food in the buffet restaurant was almost always cold. even when they had just refilled trays. on one ocassion the chicken i took was not cooked through. we ended up eating salads all the time which is not very exciting.
our room although big was very tatty half the lights did not work. one of the balcony chairs was broken with a very rusty air con unit stuck right in the way. the maids did not replace empty toilet roll which was left to us to do.

We were offered this hotel as our 5 star A/I hotel was delayed in open. Within an hour of being in this hotel, I phoned back to the UK to demand to be moved or flown back to the UK! The hotel claims to be a 5 star hotel, but I would say it scrapes by with 3 stars.
The staff were generally unhelpful, confusioned over what drinks we could have & staff tended to resent giving free drinks & we were made to feel like we were lower class guests. The hotel has two bars. We were turned away from one bar and told it was for half board guests only!! The only bar we could use was tiny & had limited drinks available. Lunch consisted of a tray of cheese or ham rolls and slices of pizza or hot dogs served in the bar, although the food did run out quickly.
The gym was tiny & we had to pay 6 euros to use it, The hotel has two salt water pools & 1 indoor pool which is not heated. There are very few sun loungers & the entertainment was awful. A old piano player reading from a lap top & couldn't sing!!
Evening meal was in the main restaurant, but if you got in late there was very little food left. We saw the saff plating up food for themselves each night even when the guest were still coming in and trying to get a meal. As a result of this terrible stay letters of complaint are on the way to travel agent & the Mistis group.
The hotel is however in a good location for exploring but thats about as good as it gets.
