My wife and I have just returned from a week in the Belair beach hotel, we were on floor 1 which was perfect for the restaurant, we found the staff fantastic and nothing was to much trouble.
The food in the restaurant was always fresh and as items ran out they were quickly replaced with more, a good selection with theme dinners on various nights. The room was clean and quiet the beds a little hard for us but that is down to preference. A nice pool and coffee/tea/beer bar near the pool with snacks during the morning/early afternoon.
A couple of down sides firstly all inclusive but no bottled water in the room and water from tap not drinkable (ok for brushing teeth) there is a fridge in the room so a small bottle of water would have been nice, the hotel is 4km from the old town and the nearest bars / restaurants are about 1km. The other let down was for a whole week entertainment on one night only this consisted of a singer / organ player who was pleasant to listen to, but no other entertainment for the rest of the week, as a all inclusive hotel you do not want to go down the road for a drinks and entertainment.
To sum up a good friendly hotel ideal for relaxing by the pool and chatting with friends at night.

I've rated this holiday based on the price paid, which was very economical. We booked on a Friday in June 13 and travelled on the Saturday.

The hotel is located on the main road to Rodos and it can get busy. There have been some reviews written on here complaining, well, put it this way it caused my partner and I no problems.

The hotel faces the beach with a lovely patio where evening drinks are served by two hard working and fun barmen (Illyas and Angelo). Smile and be courteous and guess what, they're courteous back. In fact as human nature goes I believe that's a universal policy well applied. Those that have complained about the attitude of the personnel may not have applied this policy.

We arrived in the early hours, reception was efficient and there was a warm greeting. The hotel is on 4 floors on one side and 5 on the other. We were on the fourth. The room was over the pool but we also had a side sea view which was very pleasant.

The room had all the usual facilities with good storage. 2 wardrobes with one big enough to store two large suitcases to hide them away. There was a cute mini-fridge and a bathroom. I only have two criteria for a great holiday, a good shower and a bed. This room met all my criteria.

What I would say is the maid service was excellent. Whilst the rooms were not lavish, the maids did a great job of cleaning it daily and fresh towels.

The pool was lovely and warm and there was also a little kiddies paddling pools also. There is a poolside bar which Alexandra heads up. Again, I've read complaints about the attitude of the bar staff. I refer you to paragraph 3. (NB for spirit drinkers - you can only get beer/wine/soft drinks and coffee from this bar. At 6 when the patio bar opens you can relax).

What I would say they though, is that at sometimes of the day there are not enough sunbeds, but there are spares. If you like sun all the day, go on the side of the pool that faces the hotel. The adjacent side only gets sun till about 2 ish.

The food is bland, but then ;like I said, you get what you pay for. In saying that there is a wide range in a buffet style, which during peak periods can get congested around the serving area.
The food is well cooked and substantial, we never got hungry. I forgot to mention, you can also get snacks at the poolside bar).

The beach is pebbly, but there are sunbeds you can hire E4/day, it's a nice walk into Rodos, about 4kl, well worth it in the morning and getting a taxi back. There are also 2 mini-markets next door to the hotel with a mixture of little restaurants if you get fed up with the buffet.

We had a great last minute holiday, our expectations were low because we realised 4 star in many parts of the world might be a little lower. Go with this in mind and your expectations will be exceeded.

I hope you find this useful?

Room Tip: If you don't have kiddies try and get on the 3rd floor or above. We spoke to some on lower floor...

Dear all,

Today I've returned home from a lovely week on Rhodos. I wanna thank the whole Belair Hotel staff for a fantastic week. Every single staff member was kind, hard working and always ready to help. My one-person room was a bit small but clean. The food was good and variated every day. A special word of thanks to the guys at the main bar, you did a great job :-)

Best regards from the Netherlands and thanks again!

Just back from a week at the Belair and found it really good and excellent value for money.
Arrived at 1am and given a warm welcome with clear explanations about the hotel and the all inclusive deal. This level of staff helpfulness continued over the week and even when I overheard them dealing with a couple of awkward customers, they were very polite and concerned and sorted the perceived problems out.
The rooms are very clean, as is the rest of the hotel and pool area. The food is buffet style, varied enough, plentiful and of a decent quality.
I would highly recommend this place for those looking for a good relaxing by the pool or beach(just across the road) holiday. The wonderful island capital of Rodos with it's Old Town is a 15 minute bus ride away and well worth a day trip to and there is a great local island tour company Manos Going just next door.
