“Beautiful Hotel with Amazing Staff”
Reviewed 20 August 2013

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the BelAir, we had a beautiful spacious room with a perfect view of the sea. Every single member of staff continously greeted you with a hello and a smile, and that really makes all the difference. The food was really nice, lots of choice and changed every night. Only downside I would say was that, one of the barmen was moody all the time and made you feel a little unwelcome, and the all inclusive bar stopped at 11pm. But this really didn't dampen the holiday at all, highly recommend the BelAir!

Room Tip: Book in advance for sea view rooms

Two girls from Lithuania (me and my best friend) chose this hotel and we really liked it. Especially thanks for Belair's hospitality. The staff was friendly (particularly ladies of administration, restaurant boys and pool bar girls). Maids clean rooms every day, even they put shampoo, body lotion in bathroom, so you don't need to take yours, therefore you can save place in your luggage :). Food was delicious but had a little lack of variety. The view from our balcony was amazing, in horizon opens the sea, mountains and palm garden, mm :)
The time spent in Belair was unique, we definitely would go back here someday.

We stayed on August 3-10, 2013.

Ta xanaléme, Belair and Rhodes!

If you need entertainment and your children need to be entertained by someone dressed in a clowns suit do not go, otherwise I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was nice and plentiful, even though the resturant could get a little busy. Rooms were cleaned daily with clean towels everyday, air conditioning worked well and rooms were spaceious. Like some of the reviews mention the hotel is near a busy road but once our balcony doors were shut we could not hear it, it was also really easy to cross because most drivers would stop to let you cross. I would recommend that you hire a car we hired a medium sized car for 5 days costing 230 euros from the hire centre in the hotel after looking around, this was a standard price. Overall a very enjoyable 2 weeks spent at the Bel Air and i would go there again.

Thank you

Hello everyone!
Rest in this hotel from 7 to 19 July, 2 adults and a child of 6 years.

The hotel is great, well-designed, all rooms with sea view, we have even a window in the bathroom was - fresh air is constantly in the bathroom, but it is only in the end rooms, ours was 445 on the 4th floor.
The building has two elevators, numbered from 0 (reception) to 4 floors.
Staff - excellent! Virtually all understand and try to speak Russian, I tried to speak to them in Greek - according to the joy in the eyes of the staff, they were nice! Cleaning and change of towels - every day before lunch, change of sheets - once every 3 days. Cleaning is not dependent on the presence of a tip - take away the same quality.
Food - very diverse, two theme dinners a week - Greek and Italian. Usually 4 kinds of meat and two kinds of fish, three or four side dishes, salads or ready on the basis of sour cream / mayonnaise or miksuesh himself to choose from, just a fairy tale feta, olives, olive oil - without restrictions. Desserts - pastries, baklava, mousses, puddings, watermelons, melons, peaches.
Breakfast is the standard European - bacon, eggs in stock (boiled, fried, omelettes), muesli, milk, baking is very tasty.
The restaurant manager is trying to pay attention to each guest, nice chustvovat care))
The chef often comes out to the guests, watching the preferences of the public, interested in whether the food like? Again, nice!
Too old furniture in the rooms - but everything is working properly - no problems with air conditioning or a hair dryer or with the plumbing has never been.
The view is just wonderful - plus a light sea breeze can relax on the balcony until late.
Bartenders (Oia, Sava) is another story - have a genuine interest in the guests, many tusyat right near the bar because of their wonderful aura)))
We liked the beach - a little dirty, but the wind drives the waves all day, so little surprises come in the form of a small debris that washed ashore sea, but their minuscule. Pebble beach in front of the hotel, right in the sand is 50 meters - for every taste. Beds paid - 4 euros - but litter solves the problem))
The pool is large - space enough for all, leaving many guests leave the balls, mattresses around the pool - you can use them for free. The pool was cleaned every day, every 3 days for a special clean water cleaner.
Holiday was a success - it was pleasant to stay in a wonderful country, all the rest had the feeling that you're not a guest, but as if the relatives - all friendly and glad you have them stopped.
At 4 km from the Rhodes town - it was very pleasant to take a walk in his old town, feeling as if you were in a fairy tale, such as it is described in books about knights and distant campaigns. Fortress impression of its impregnable walls and fortifications. Inside the old town with lots of local shops Leather goods at normal prices, handmade and color)))
Aquarium is not worth visiting - not much to see that, and the entrance Euro 5.5, for 20 min inspected the entire aquarium ...
Were at the Aqua Park "VaterPark Rhodes" - basically good, there is a place for both children and adults.
Better to go to the "All Inclusive" - the average bill for 3 people in taverns - 50 Euro, which is a little expensive as that.
Next to the hotel are many shops and taverns, bus stop 10 meters from the hotel.
On the reverse side of the pool there is relaxation area with old palm trees, with the court for tennis, horizontal bar and a ping-pong table. Rackets and balls - for free at Reception. Nice to lie down after a wonderful dinner to the sound of the surf and the rustle of palm leaves ...
It's been 3 weeks since his return - and miss him already, would have given up the opportunity again to this hotel, the warm Aegean Sea ...
Efharisto (thank you) Belair Beach We love you so!

great hotel, clean & spacious. maids cleaned rooms every day, even swept the balcony. food was very good.Very friendly staff especially Ilas & Savvas behind the bar! would definetly go back. the pool area was well looked after. good tip for anyone using this hotel, don't pay expensive transfer fees from airport, take a cab 20 euros each way, hassle free, and 20 minutes away, no noise from aeroplanes whilst at hotel or beach. hotel in excellent location for Rhodes town. met a family who live a few villages away from us and our kids go to same school so joined up with them and had a fab time!

I am writing this review in the following format:
+ are pluses, advantages, good
- are minuses, disadvantages, bad

We were two couples and stayed here for a week. We were of ages 22 and 23, 48 and 50. We purchased all-inclusive services for the four of us from the beginning in order to have a holiday as pleasant as possible.

Rooms:
+ Clean rooms.
- Cleaning ladies do not change bed sheets and towels daily.
- The room amenities (shampoo, body lotion, soap, shower cap) were replenished twice during our 1 week stay. We used the body lotion and shower cap the 2nd day we got there and it did not get replenished at all during our stay. We only received extra soap (we had 4 unopened at some point) and shampoos.
- You have to put your key (which has a magnet attached to it) in a special plug next to the door in order for the electricity to run.
- Only 2 free plugs: One in the hairdryer machine in the bathroom, the other one next to the room door, and if you use that one, you won't be able to open the door anymore.
- No matrimonial beds available in the hotel (queen beds) only twins (2 separate beds). Very disappointing for couples.
- AC only works if the balcony doors are closed and the room key is placed at the special plug in room which turns on the electricity. There is no remote control, only a small control panel on the wall. You have to literally wake up, stand up and go to the panel in the middle of the night to turn the AC on if it's too hot.

Food/Restaurant:
+ Nice variety of food.
- Gets repetitive after a few days (same food every few days).
- There is a sign that clearly states at the entrance "No shorts at dinner". Two out of three Men are wearing shorts. Same thing with beer mugs, a sign clearly states "For Beer only". 10-year olds and everyone else use those for sodas. I had to drink beer in a 200ml glass instead.

Pool/Pool Bar:
- The pool was not cleaned at all during our stay. They seemed like they cleaned it, but in fact they were removing the seeable dirty parts from the water. We've seen that from our balcony twice around 6-6.30 am.
- They do not clean around the pool. People move their sun beds how they wish and it becomes a maze to move around to the restroom/bar/etc. .

Lobby Bar:
- Besides the fact that they serve poor quality drinks to everyone, no matter if all-inclusive or not (I asked for a whisky and he poured me some low quality whisky syrup they had there and when I asked why he didn't serve me from the Red Label bottle next to that syrup bottle, the waiter told me I had to pay for that), they start treating you worse and worse as time passes by. I had to drink 4-5 of those whisky syrups to compensate for an actual mediocre-to-respectable whisky brand glass. The waiters started getting sick of me and started avoiding me when I went to order drinks (for my girlfriend and other couple).

Staff:
+ The lady who helped us with our check in process was very nice and helpful.
- Same staff crew at the restaurant (for breakfast, lunch and dinner) for the whole week. They seemed very tired and itchy.
- Same staff at the lobby bar for the whole week. They stared avoiding you if you ordered more than 3 times during one evening. They didn't look happy at all and had an expression of "you again? what do you want? get out of here...". Made me feel bad for them and uncomfortable of taking advantage of what I have paid for.

Other minuses -
During our last day, our bus to the airport was arriving at the hotel to pick us up at 18:50. The restaurant opens for dinner at 18:30 (that's what the schedule on the restaurant door says). We asked the restaurant manager if we can enter earlier, at 18:15, in order to avoid the long lines and to make sure we catch our bus to the airport. After 10 minutes of rude talk and unpleasantness, he agreed to allow us to enter the restaurant at 18:25 (again to avoid the long 5-10 minutes lines). We were there starting 18:15 and at 18:32 we forced opened the doors because they did not let us enter the restaurant, saying the normal opening time is at 19:00. Very unpleasant, rude and dissatisfying.

Overall, I do not recommend this hotel to anyone, no matter of age or money disposal. The staff there do not take any attitude to make their clients respect the hotel policy. They treat greek-speakers and russians better than other nationalities. The money spent on this hotel would've been better anywhere else but here.

PS: 30 Minutes of internet cost 4 Euros.

Room Tip: Chose a different hotel.
