Went there with my BF for my 21st birthday in June 2013, had a fabulous time... the staffs were very friendly. hotel manager George and receptionist were very nice, kind and made us feel very welcomed and were very helpful with everything.... the rooms were cleaned everyday the restaurant was clean and the food was lovely... the beach is only across the road, its a pebble beach so make sure you bring some suitable footwear i bought some from the shop next to the hotel at 7 euros which is really good i think. would recommend it and do it all over again.

Have just returned from a holiday in Ixia, Rhodes. Superb room with an amazing seabird. Room 205. Hotel staff superb, great helpful attitude. A couple of things i would change, more entertainment, greek dancers amazing, but there could be more done. And the food, any chance there could be more variation than only Italian and Greek Nights, Spanish or Mexican would be good.

Room tip: For rooms with seaview, ask for 202 - 207, 302 -307, 402 - 407

Having read some bad reviews on this hotel after i booked the holiday my wife & i were pleasently surprised to find that our 10 ten day fully inclusive holiday here was very enjoyable. All the staff are 5 star they work very hard & nothing was to much trouble, we initailly has a problem with a very hard mattress, this was replaced immediately with a much softer one after I mentioned it to Maria on reception. The food was very good, varied options each day & plenty of it. The whole complex is kept very clean, we had a sea view room with a large balcony the perfect spot to relax with a nightcap before turning in.I hired a car from TOPS carhire next to the hotel despite the bad reports I had seen on them, best value carhire I found & cars are in excleent conditions all quite new. Dont hesitate to go here it was very good value

I have very recently returned from an 8 night holiday at the belair beach hotel as a family of three, and I have to say it was in a great location(not far from Rhodes town).

When we arrived it was quite late in the night but reception squeezed us into the dinner hall(just about) which seemed like it needed a bit of work.

The food on the other hand was amazing if you like pasta but if a fussy eater it's ok because they have the most spectacular salad bar and Greek and Italian nights each week.

The pool was extremely clean and tidy and a great place to sun soke but there is also a tennis court, children's play area and the beach( which was nice) I'f that's not your thing

Overall I would recommend a stay at Belair Beach Hotel to anyone :)

We arrived very early hours of the morning so didn't explore until the next day. Hotel was probably built circa 78-79 and hasn't changed since but it's minimalist so the decor isn't intrusive or oppressive like some dated decors can be. The hotel is VERY clean and the maids changed our towels every day; giving us three towels each for a party of two. The bathroom is as good as a bathroom of that age can possibly be. The roo, itself was fairly spacious and the air con was extremely effective. A slight complaint would be that the twin beds could not be successfully pushed together and there was a big void between the beds- not comfortable.
We had a beautiful sea view and our room was round the side of the hotel so we were perfectly appointed. However, I would not like to have had a room at the front of the hotel as the main road towards Ixia is extremely busy and the nights the hotel had entertainment; it was very loud. Having said that, I'm only assuming because we didn't hear a peep!
Poolside, there were plenty of deckchairs for those wanting to vegetate in the sun (which I enjoy) and they were comfortable . The pool is large for the size of the hotel but due to the time of year, was overrun by children most of the day and the kids' pool went unused for the whole time we were there. The poolside bar was handy and staffed by very pleasant people. The one drawback was the limited choices of alcoholic drinks available but after six, the main bar opened where there was a much wider choice even including cocktails (yay) but I do love a cocktail by the pool but lager went down fine.
Food: We're both big foodies so we were really dubious given that the hotel wouldn't be four star at home (North England). But we were pleasantly surprised, in fact, the food seemed to get better, especially at weekends when there was much more choice. Granted, there was a lot of repetition but it was well cooked, traditionally greek and fresh and tasty; spot on for an all inclusive hotel in this budget.
The location was ok, gorgeous breeze, quiet enough but probably would have preferred to be in Ixia centre because although this hotel was in an area that had the quaint feel we were looking for, there was a bit more going on in Ixia itself. The hotel is directly on a bus route to Rhodes Town which is just breathtaking but too busy to stay there!
Overall, we had a magical holiday and we thought Belair Beach was exactly what you would expect for your money; there is no point updating the decor because it's clean, the chef worked really hard and AC included as standard. Happy holidays: we wish we were still there :)

Room tip: Be aware of rooms at the front as probably quite noisy. Rooms at side great view and lovely and cool due to sun position.
