We booked the hotel after reading mixed reviews. We paid just under £1000 per person for 11 nights in August travelling with First Choice. The first room that we were given was pretty dreadful and was in a bad state of repair. The room was in need of decorating i.e. air conditioning units putting back onto the wall, patio doors needed attention as they didn't lock etc. We arrived late at night so decided to leave it until the morning. Once we'd been to reception they did give us another room and that was better.

The food at first was OK but then after a couple of days there were some dishes that were rough to say the least. Some of the stews had chicken wings in that had no meat on them so we opted for salads or chips. This was not ideal as we were in Greece so I wanted to eat some Greek food. We spoke to the rep who was trying for an Oscar when she replied 'that's the first complaint that i've had about the food here' to which I replied 'I can't beleive that' as most of the other guests were moaning about it. Most of the food is cool but there is a microwave in the dining room. The food was a bit hit and miss but I could cope with that. The worst part was all of the pushing and shoving which has put me off AI holidays. There was far too much queuing and they didn't seem to be able to cope with the numer of guests that they had.

The beach is a shingle beach but I thought it was lovely as you were able to get away from the madness of the hotel. There was hardly anyone on the beach as I think that most of the hotels in that area are AI.

The entertainment was laughable but you do tend to get that in AI hotels. It was catered for in 4 different languages and the staff work hard.

Getting a sunbed was a nightmare but I suppose you expect that in Aug. I used to take towels of sunbeds that were not being used so I managed to get one. The management aren't interested about resolving the situation.

The bar staff are funny. There is a fair queuing system that they operate and you have to order two drinks each, if you want one or three then be aware that they will tell you off. We travelled as two couples so it always meant that two of us had to go to the bar. It frustrated us so we ordered three drinks at a time one night and the head bar man told us to drink what we had first!

The only positive that I can say about the hotel is that if you manage to get a table outside in the evening in the dining room then the view is lovley. The wine is the dining room is also very good.

The resort itself is nice and I was glad of the breeze. There are lots of places to eat and drink. Rhodes Town was not like when I visited a few years ago. I found that we were being pestered a lot. We were unable to sit down and have a drink in Rhodes Town unless we were having a meal, although there were three cruise ships in that day.

I would only visit this hotel again if it was a free holiday. It is a 3* hotel and not what I was expecting. On saying this my parents visited 2 years earlier, in May, and had a wonderful time. I think that if you get a cheap deal to this hotel then you would be happy but I felt for the money that we'd paid we were ripped off.

I think this was a lovely hotel, yes the main road is busy but we never had a problem to cross it and if it was that busy we just went in the hotel next door and used their walk way under the road. We actually went to Rhodes to get married and i couldn't of asked for anything more. 17 of us stayed in the hotel oceanis out of 19 and none of us could fault it. Food had an excellent choice, i am a really fussy eater and even i managed to find something every night. Staff so friendly, entertainment team fantastic. Pool amazing and we had my friends little girl aged two with us and she was never bored either. Even went to a local restaurant and cocktail bar on fathers day to get out and it was also amazing.
I could not have asked for a better two weeks away

thid hotel is situated on a busy main road, with the pool area on the front so very noisy, coaches cars and lorries thundering up and down all day long, you also took your life in your hand if you crossed the road to go to the beach! the hotel was rated 3/4 * but i would rate it at 2. the place is very much in need of total refurbishment, the bedrooms especially. old worn paint work/decor, old fashioned baths, beds. it was non too clean either. i would not recommend this hotel.

Arrived at hotel 03.30 met with cold drink, very nice, checked in quickly, got the rooms we had asked for by email,5th floor, but had to pay 10 euro per day for sea view, well worth it,lovely views across the Agean to Turkey.Room was ok but AC not working and was very hot, even for October, everything in the room was spotless, fresh sheets and towels every day.Kettle and cups provided but no tea coffee etc. we took tea bags and milk from the restaurant for a morning cuppa. The hotel was very quiet as it was the end of the season which was great for us.wouldn't fancy being there high season as it holds 500 people and there didn't seem enough room for that amount of sunbeds round the pool.
Supposed to be a 4* but more like a 3*.The food that we had was plentiful, not that hot at times and very repetitive,if you like pork then this is the place for you, salads were excellent, but who wants to be a rabbit on holiday.Drinks were very limited,we have done many A.I.s but never been to one where you have to pay for cocktails and the bar stops serving last orders at 22.50.and they ask you to order 2 drinks at each visit to the bar to save time, strange! if you order more than two,no chance, each member of you party has to go to the bar
Entertainment was pretty poor but then there were only about 120 people in the hotel at the time and they do rely on the guests to entertain the other guests,Karaoke etc. and the evening dose of bingo at 3euros a time for a bottle of cheap plonk and extremely large animation 'T' shirt and a mass produced CD.The animation team do work hard though.Pool area kept well, enough sunbeds (in October) to go round.
All in all not a bad hotel for the money, don't think we would return, would like to try somewhere else in the area,Rhodes is a beautiful place and lots to see,if you do any trips out go to Sigma tours in the arcade,on the seaside of the main road going toward the airport they were excellent, gave us a good deal and our guide Anna Maria was absolutely brilliant, very knowledgeable about her island.
