Oceanis Hotel
Ranked #17 of 126 Hotels in Rhodes Town
Certificate of Excellence

The Oceanis is a little tired in places now. The decor in the rooms could do with a refurb, and the air con / heater units work, but are a litle noisy at night. The staff are helpful and friendly and the food varied and very good. The grounds and pool areas are well laid out and maintained to a good standard. The beach is just over the road and although pebbles, the area is well maintained and the sea is clean.
The location of the Oceanis is excellent, being a short walk to Ixia centre and a short bus ride to Rhodes town.
We would return to this hotel again, although the rooms could be better.

Hotel Oceanis is an amazing hotel!
Buffet style meals always cater to everyones needs, whether you like typical homely food like chips, to tradtional Greek food, they have it all!
The pool seems small in the photographs, but in actual fact its very spacious. We used the pool daily, and we were able to play with our inflatables and balls without getting in other peoples way!
Its a few minutes walk from the town of Ixia, highly reccomend a stroll along the town part (turn left out of the hotel). Its also very easy to jump on a bus to Rhodes old Town **a must see** and renting a car is also great, we visited the Acropolyse and Faleraki!
Rooms cater to all your needs, views are stunning!

Me and my husband saved our money for one year and wasted it in 2 weeks by staying in this hotel. There were many Cockroach in our room. We could not even sleep at night because they came to our bed also. we talked to receptionist. He was a short fat man around 50 years old. He was so rude. He said that I am lying and it is not true. When i became so angry he gave us another room which was even worse than the other one. The bathroom was out of order. They promised us to fix it the next day but they never did that. The water splashed out of the pomps and ran from under the door to our room. We had to walk in the water and corpses of cockroach. If we were out of the soap or shampoo we could not get another one so easily. The food was disgusting. Believe me or not but everything tasted like foot!
The most annoying thing in this hotel was the activity group. We could not have a nap near the pools or read a book all the time they insisted that we should be in their programs which were most dancing and stretching and waterpolo. When we said no thankyou then we had to answer their questions and explain the reason that we don't want to play with them. one time a young girl in their group said to me that she does not believe me that I am not in the mood.
We were there for 2 weeks and all the time we had quarrel with receptionist and the activity group. The man who stayed in the bar was realy realy impolite. I have so many other things to explain but unfortunately my english is not so good so it is difficult for me to write. but believe me don't look at the beautiful pictures of this hotel. Don't waste your money and don't ruin your vacation by staying in this hotel.

l have never felt the need to write a reveiw before but feel people should be told the pit-falls of there holidays as well as the good points, where do l start............. first the bedroom although linen and towels were changed on a daily basis floors and surrounds are not cleaned or dusted, we didn,t know what a nights sleep was because the fridge and the air con were so out dated that the constant noise from them keep us awake, l did report this but nothing was done, the hotel itself needs so much done to it to bring it to its 4 star rating, furniture badly stained, glass tables chipped, leather chairs peeling, ect ect, as for the food, there was no variety at all and we stayed 2 weeks . l can honestly say the only good meal was lunchtime. the beach if you can call it that was a strip of rubble on the other side of a very busy road, the pool was nice though but even here the loungers where badly stained and in a need for a good clean. on the plus side the staff where very friendly and all surrounding areas where lovely especially old rhodes town itself.

Hotel a little tired in some areas and needs attention, paticularly the outside seating area. However the rooms are comfortable and clean. The food available is pretty much what you would expect from an all inclusive hotel with a wide range of choices on offer, something for everyone. we were there for 2 weeks and found the staff very helpful and friendly making our stay more enjoyable. The animation team were great fun and worked hard to make sure you felt relaxed and had fun.
The hotel is situated on a busy road with the beach opposite - so you needs your wits about you to get across safely. The beach is pebble but lovely. All in all this hotel was good value for money and located in a pretty part of Rhodes and only a short bus ride into Rhodes town which was stunning. If you want a comfortable, clean and good value hotel then this is for you.

A good, clean hotel with friendly staff. Rooms are a bit basic for 4 star and food variety on some nights was a bit limited.

Superb location with excellent panoramic views. Service throughout the stay was also very good and cheerful. Facilities well managed and also ideal for it's location. Breakfast food good and evening meal did have some variation throughout the week and should provide for most palates. Nereids restaurant is very close by and provides a very good alternative if required.
Only tip is if you have mobility issues and like the beach, then perhaps it's not for you - otherwise, yes, definitely give it a try.
