We have recently returned from this hotel and both of us thought it was really nice. Lovely room with sea views, TV, air con, fridge and spotlessly clean with fresh towels.
Again, pool area really clean, good sized pool and could always get a lounger no matter what time you went at. It has a mini market under the hotel which is reasonably priced.
Staff in the hotel were very friendly and spoke good English, the food was also good with plenty of variety at breakfast time.
Unfortunately we did not like Rhodes Town itself but have no complaints about the hotel whatsoever and it was certainly excellent value for money and in a good location with only a short walk to new/old town.
Many thanks for a pleasant stay.

Room Tip: Our room was facing the sea and it was lovely with sun all afternoon

We have just come back a week ago from Belvedere Beach Hotel. I agree with previous comment that Thomas Cook seriously need to look at their planes and staff. Too cramped going out and check in staff unfriendly. All of that aside the Belvedere Staff especially Fedra made us very welcome. The receptionist,s speak excellent english. A friend rang to say it was our Honeymoon and on the first day there we came back to our room to find a bottle of Champagne and Fruit. The rooms are lovely and quiet. There is built in air conditioning, which works excellent. The rooms are kept immaculately clean every day. There is a fridge to the room. The balconies are not big, but adequate. They have tv and radio service. The towels were lovely and fluffy. The reception staff can organise you trips to anywhere you want to go and its cheaper than booking outside of hotel. The food is excellent and Anja and her staff do an excellent job considering how many they have to cater for. A good sign for us was that the manager of the hotel ate every night after all the guests in the same restaurant as us.
Rhodes old town is 15mins walk from hotel. You come out of the doors turn right and turn right again at Shell Garage. Ask about price of drinks at Rhodes old town before you sit down. One night we asked for two beers and it cost 18 euros. They were huge wellington boot glasses. NOT WHAT WE ASKED FOR. A trip to Symi and the Acropolypse is a must.
The only downside of the holiday is that the Germans and russians ran down the stairs at 7.30 every morning to put towels on the sunbeds. So none for us and the Beach outside hotel was a bit scruffy. Need cleaning up a bit. Take Beach shoes because its very rocky.
Rhodes city bus trip is a must. 9euros to get on and off the bus all day. We would definitley go back to the Belevedere.

Room Tip: If you get bit by mosquitos do not chose a basement room,as there a lot of trees and bush,s

We stayed here for 7 nights in August and were very disappointed. According to the brochure description (Olympic holidays) this is a 4 Star hotel. In our opinion this hotel is no where near the standard that you would normally associate with 4 stars.
The whole place is somewhat dated and really needs a top to bottom refurbishment.
The rooms are small but the bathrooms really are tiny. The toilet is so close to the door and sink that it is impossible to open the door without complicated contortions. Even my 12 year year old son had this problem.
When we arrived the toilet had not been cleaned, there being evidence of the previous occupier. Cracked tiles and broken hinges add to the general negative impression.
The towels are small and past their best. Some of ours had cigarette burns in them. Also, even if you put them in the bath (the conventional way to indicate that you would like them changed I believe), they would often not be changed.
For some reason the corridors are not lit during the day, thus making everything dark and dingy. On the other hand all the balcony lights are on during the night. We could not switch ours off so dark corridors does not seem to be an energy saving measure.
The food in the restaurant really is poor with little variety, especially at breakfast. the restaurant is dreadful, the tables close together like in a cheap café or back at school and they seem to have a very inefficient dish washer as finding a clean plate was a daily challenge.
The restaurant staff are friendly but questions at reception were invariably met with a shrug of the shoulders.
The bar prices are a joke: a small glass of fanta for the same price as a beer. Ridiculous.
The pool is of a reasonable size but is 1.1m deep at its deepest. Not much shade around the pool either. It closes at 6pm everynight.

Other things to be aware of: the beach is not sandy but is very rocky (buy a pair of sea shoes from one of the shops nearby); a pair of sunbeds and a brolly on the beach are 8 euros per day; the Old Town is 20 minutes (at least) walk from the hotel; being on the west coast there can be quite a strong wind and rough seas.

Overall we found this to be a grim hotel with very little to recommend it.

Room Tip: Chose a different hotel?

Back there for the third year, and running probably had the same room as well. A welcome back bottle of wine and a basket of fruit.Stayed for three weeks and got the third week free for the safe deposit box.Had to pay 35 euros though to keep the room on though till 8 p.m. as not being picked up till 2.30 a.m.for the airport.Staff as always very pleasant and I think it would be fair to say that the outdoor pool is one of the best and largest in Rhodes Town.

The main advantage of this hotel is the fantastic view to the coast and it's location close to the old town, the restaurants and the shops. The disadvantages of the hotel are plenty. Poor cleaning services at the rooms (the don't even give shampoo and soaps to the bathrooms for economy), they don't have a lifeguard at the pool, the furniture at the rooms are very old and numerous others.
Certainly a second class choose when visiting the island of Rhodes.

Stayed with family in July 14-21. Good location, nice big pool and easy access to the beach. Excellent, helpful personnel. Good breakfast selection. Rooms a bit worn out, specially bathrooms need renovation. only 2 very small lifts, so difficult with luggage. Overall a good choice.

Room Tip: Ask for the seaview rooms from upper floors like 3--5.

My husband and I have just returned from a 5 week holiday in Northern France and Greece, ending our holiday at this hotel. We stayed at 3 star accommodation every night of our holiday and this is by far the worst hotel we stayed at. It is in a great position opposite the beach, close to shops, restaurants and the old town, but that is all it has to recommend it. The rooms were old, badly in need of refurbishment and not as clean as we would have liked. In addition, everything cost extra - safe, kettle and air conditionioning!!! The weather was very warm when we stayed there and impossible to sleep with the door closed (due to the noise from the highway outside) without paying the extra money to have the air conditioning. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!
