Just returned from a 2 week stay at this hotel and sorry to say that I could not, in all honesty recommend a stay in this hotel to anyone who is going to pay for the pleasure of........willing to queue for 5 - 10 minutes for a drink at the main bar because there is only 1 person normally available to serve and that includes peak times. Eat from a very repetitive menu, pay an exorbitant price for use of the internet at 1 euro an hour, 5 euro's per day or 22 euro's per week, (and I thought that UK providers took the mickey!)
Everything seems geared up for the guests to fork out as much money as possible for everything.
You can play bingo at night as part of the evenings entertainment, which starts at 10pm. it will cost you to play, I think it was 5 euro's for one game, you might win a cd or a "I've been to Rhodes T shirt", but you won't get a cash prize. Even the luggage scales in the main foyer works only if you feed it with a euro coin for every bag you weigh.
The hotel was very understaffed, but those who where there, were very nice people.
The bar as usual, served only local drinks on the all-inclusive tab, but they were full strength and not watered down. Downside was the bar stopped the free drinks at 11pm, a bit on the earlyish side for me.
On the good side, the rooms were very clean and nicely decorated, however the A/C had given up the ghost. Made the big mistake of leaving the balcony doors wide open to cool the room for an hour or so, result was that my wife and I became donors for the local mosquito population.
Don't want to put anyone off!
I am a firm believer of the all-inclusive holidays but I did think that this hotel took the biscuit!

Thank you for taking the time to provide a review of your holidays in summer 2013, in one of our properties.
We are certainly disheartened to read that your vacation with us did not reach your level of satisfaction.
Our company, Zeus Hotels and resorts took over the Management of Cosmopolitan hotel beginning of 2013 and since then we make every effort to ensure that our guests enjoy a memorable holiday experience and we are very sorry to hear that we did not meet your expectations during stay.
As priority in our Zeus Hotels is to have quality standards and after having done the ‘’face lifting’’ in all buildings last winter, we now continue with further changes creating except the ‘’light’’ but modern Lobby area, an a la carte restaurant by the pool and a separate theatre area for the Animation evening shows in order to minimize queues and provide better service to our guests.
Our aim is to offer best possible accommodation to our guests and that is all we try for.
We appreciate your feedback and we can only assure you that if you are ready to return you will find an entirely different atmosphere in our Cosmopolitan Zeus hotel

The hotel was very good.... the staff very helpful and hard working.

Food was excellent - plenty of choice and good quality

Bus stop just at the bottom of the hotel steps and only a short distance from Rhodes town

It was fine when we were there as it was coming to the end of the season .,.but I can imagine it would be very busy in the restaurant and a pain to get drinks in the peak season

Only thing that let it down was the animation team - particulary bad was "mini disco" each evening @ 9pm with the same music

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room in the main hotel

We have just returned from a 2 week stay at the Mareblue. We went as a party of 12 and were there for our wedding! The staff were very friendly and helpful (especially when our daughter was in hospital for a few days) the food was nice and not boring. I agree the entertainment was a little disappointing however it was end of season and the staff tried really hard! We were in a family suite and the maids were in every day and did a great job. No problem getting tables in the restaurant but I could see this being an issue in peak times when the hotel is full, same with the sunbeds. Some of the reviews werent brilliant before we went and I was worried about what we would find when we got their however the hotel was lovely!

Stayed here for a 10 day holiday. The staff were friendly and helpful. It closes in a weeks time and that may have reflected in the poor standard of entertainment. What there was not being suitable for young children in my opinion. The food was good and you were not rushed. I found the traffic noise from the busy road annoying. We had a very noisy couple in the next room, also the smell of smoking seemed to permeate our floor. The beach is a water sport one and swimming is not allowed though some people still chanced it.There was a strong Northerly wind blowing a lot of the time but the sky was blue and the colour of the sea is incredible. It was our second visit to Rhodes and I doubt there would be anything to take us back a third time.

This was our second year running at the Mareblue Hotel and everything that made us return still continued to remain - friendly staff, good food, lovely drinks, nice atmosphere, good location. Would highly recommend to someone visiting the island of Rhodes.

Room Tip: Yanni's Bar a nice wee addition to the Hotel!!!

In general we had a nice holidays at Mareblue but to me the hotel standard is not 4 star. We didn't live in the hotel but in one of the Bungalows with a view of sea. We really liked it because it wasn't that small as rooms in the main building. It was clean, however sometimes housekeeping forgot to bring new glasses or clean the room (it happened once during our stay), then we had to wait about an hour to get new towels in order to take a shower (after a whole day island trip).

Staff in the reception was helpful, especially young girls.

The restaurant looks like a canteen. Waiters were helpful and smiling even though they worked hard. The food: breakfast was OK, dinner was really good but we didn't like lunch so we dedcided to eat snacks at the pool instead of food in the restaurant. I was a little bit dissapointed with the variety of salads, basically there was every day the same salad and vegetables as onion, tomatoe and cucumber plus greek salad, tzatziki, feta cheese and olives (that were really good). Since the hotel is very big, the restaurant was always crowded and noisy.

As we travelled almost in the end of thes season we didn't have any problems to get sunbeds but we heard that in high season is hard to find one. I cannot imagine eating in the restaurant in high season.

The pool bar staff was not so friendly and not professional. I think that whistling for customer who is standing in the line for a drink to remind him that now is his/ her turn to order is neither polite nor professional. The older guy who was kind of supervisor in the restaurant and the pool bar wasn't a nice one. He was walking around, staring all guestes (especially young girls wearing bikini what doesn't make you feel comfortable at the pool). Sometimes he yelled at bartenders when it was getting busy at the pool, showing lack of respect for them.

The animation team was good and very friendly, however the evening program could last longer (at 11.00 pm was over) and offer more entertainment for adults.

The hotel is a family hotel so be aware of many kids on the pool and in the restaurant.

Location of the hotel was good, it was very close to the beach, the bus stop and taxi station. There was also a small shop by the hotel, few bars and restaurants. It took about 10 -15 min. to get to the Rhodes by bus (bus ticket 1,7 €, taxi 8 €).

Room Tip: Bungalows are bigger and quiet than a regular room.

My stay in this very comfortable and most convivial, four star seaside hotel in the second half of May 2013, was very enjoyable and relaxed, despite its approximately 700 other guests who stayed there at the same time. The hotel is separated from the (small pebble and sandy) long beach by a 10 meter wide road. The room, the restaurant, the two bars (one by the pool and one indoor), and the lobby, were nice and spacious. There was wi-fi in the rooms and land line PCs next to the indoor bar area. The outdoor (sweet water) swimming pool was quite large and the water was warm enough (circa 25-27 degrees centigrade) to stay in it for long. Greek and international (e.g. Italian, Chinese) cuisine was delicious and quite diverse. Quantity of food in all dishes, and desserts was adequate throughout the buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner times. Service was good at all times. The sea view from the room balcony was amazing. Housekeeping was good, as was Greek and foreign (satellite) television reception in the room. Sound proofing of the rooms was good. There is a frequent bus service to the centre of Rhodes town (ride lasts for about 15 minutes), where I visited the impressive medieval town (declared as a monument of world heritage by UNESCO), did some shopping in (world famous brand) shops, and enjoyed a bit of the night life. The daily changing evening animation show, aerobics, and aqua aerobics programs in the hotel, were of a good standard. Everything works like a well tuned clock in the hotel, which I enjoyed even on the 1-2 days when there was a slight drizzle for an hour. On one day there was also a traditional ceremony in the lobby, when a Greek orthodox priest gave the traditional blessing to all hotel staff, so that they will enjoy good health and do their work successfully for the whole summer season. Clientele was international (British, Russian, Swiss, Belgian, Lithuanian, German etc) and of mostly young to middle age, and a few families with children. The hotel is designed also for the handicapped (it has ramps etc). In brief, everything one could wish for the holidays, i.e. enjoy the sunshine, swim in a swimming pool or sea, relax on a nice beach or by the pool, taste good food and drinks, feel care free, receive a good and discreet service, meet people, do some sight seeing in a world famous island , and have a good sleep, can be found in this hotel. I will definitely want to spend my holidays in it again.

Room Tip: The hotel has 7 floors and all rooms are quiet. However, ask for a room on the 5th or 6th floor. The...
