This was my first all inclusive holiday, me and my wife stayed for 1 week, the accommodation was basic but very clean and comfortable. the rooms do have air conditioning but you may have to unplug your fridge to operate it. the views we had were uninterrupted sea views and a nice balcony to sit on while having a cup of tea in your room.
The food i thought would have been a concern, but there was a plentiful selection and good variety of choice, coupled with draught wine, beer and soft drinks. You will not go hungry here.
Those with children or tight budgets this is the perfect place for you.
the pools are really nice, and no need to fight over the sunbeds there are plenty. the beach is just over the road and there is an underpass if you find the road too busy at rush hour.
for those who want to venture out taxi prices are reasonable, but I used the local buses, much cheaper and every 20 mins.
the staff at the hotel are very polite and helpful, and they do work very hard to make your stay enjoyable. everywhere is kept spotless.

Room Tip: i was accommodated on floor 7 in the main building, very quiet with lovely views, the 2 lifts are fa...

Dear Shaun,

Thank you very much for your positive comments and for choosing our hotel for your holidays !
It is a pleasure that you have enjoyed your stay and our food offering . We do put a lot of effort in sourcing fresh and local products to provide fresh and tasteful variety. I will also pass your comments to the Housekeeping team who are also trying hard to keep the hotel spotless for our guests. Regarding the aircondition operation it is now fully restored.
My staff and I look forward to welcome you back to Smartline Cosmopolitan soon.

Warmest regards,
The Hotel Manager

This hotel and staff were great during our holiday, from our cleaner to the bar staff everyone was there to make our holiday as enjoyable as posible. I would also like to point out that they are as honest as the day is long, that goes for all the people we met in Rhodes. If you want to know anything just ask one of the staff, we even asked about outher restaurants, and they told us where to go to get a traditional Greek meal that was good. The hotel was always clean, the staff very friendly. Special thanks to Mikes and his fellow bar staff for being so attentive. I would visit again and again.

Our first holiday as a couple without the kids. Set in an ideal location on the edge of Ixia, The Cosmopolitan is a leisurely 10 minute stroll into the busier area or a 40 minute walk into Rhodes Town. There are also regular (every 15 minutes) buses for only 1.70 Euros each way. The hotel and room was spotless and the maid ensured it stayed that way. Hotel staff were very friendly, especially if like me, you know about 4 words in Greek! Have to say a big thank you to the bar staff, who after a couple of days knew what I was ordering before I'd got there and to the Animation Team who entertained us day and night (apart from their day off, when we were treated to traditional Greek Dancing). The clientele varied in age and nationality and we thought this hotel was suitable for just about any group of tourists. We would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a good value holiday.

Just about half an hours drive from the airport and on the outskirts of Rhodes town is Ixia, which has a shale beech and crystal clear water. This side of the Island is prone to winds, which on hot days can be welcoming. The road is very busy, and there is a bus service into Rhodes Town. Just on the edge of the town is The Cosmopolitan Hotel, as you enter through the gate there is a nice water feature alongside the restaurant which ends by the reception. It was late when we arrived and we were all given a sandwich, which was nice. The entrance is impressive, and our room was nice, clean and comfortable with a fridge and TV. A nice balcony that overlooked the Pool and Sea front. The whole hotel is cleaned from top to bottom everyday, it's spotless. Food is good with plenty of variety, though it can occasionally be cold, possibly due to the plates at times being cold. The staff are a very big credit ti Michael a great and friendly manager who kept an eye on things. Some of the guest loved to walk to the front of the Que. the staff had great control and soon sent them to the back. The staff work extremely hard, if not serving they were cleaning , collecting glasses. They were all friendly and pleasant. Entertainment was various and good during the day, though the animation team could be cold at times. The night time entertainment was at times awful, as another guest pointed out they tried. It consisted of toilet humour, slapstick which is hard to do but it can be offensive, hence some actually walked out! I'd recommend sticking to the dance routines. Also even though there were lots of elderly, single and couples, it concentrated on children. Some of these were unruly jumping over chairs, running round the hotel, with management saying nothing, and being encouraged by the animation staff. Also I know that we were early, but the one bar was open with not enough seats, people were sitting on walls, and forced into their rooms, just as we were leaving they opened the pool bar in the evening, which would have been better if they had done this earlier. Drinks were of the usual all-inclusive standard the bar is very modern and nice .Just at the front of the hotel next to Yannis is a shop with two great owners, they give great service, even putting themselves out to get a bandage for an injured member of our party, great service! Also for trips Manos is great (to the right of the hotel), the transit they took us to Lindos was very modern and comfortable. You can walk to Rhodes Harbour from the hotel. A Taxi to Rhodes is 8 euro, bus is cheaper and you can get tickets from the shop. Beware of boot beer or scenic restaurants in Rhodes as they can be expensive. We had a injured member of our party and it was a shame the hotel did not give help with our bags to the coach lucky a very nice Dutch couple came to the rescue.
We enjoyed the holiday, but it was the lack of seats (which. Is now not a problem) and evening entertainment which let it down.

Just arrived back from a two week holiday at the cosmopolitan with my husband and two children. (10/5/14-25/5/14)
We arrived late at night and received a ham and cheese sandwich which anyone with children will understand this is a lovely idea when they have been travelling all evening. Our room was clean throughout the stay the cleaners did a good job. The pool and pool area was always clean as was the main hotel. The animation team were fantastic and i have to say a massive thank you to Desmond who are son completely feel in love with a will miss. The food was basic but good, there was plenty of choice and the second week the food was even better.
The bar was open until 12.45 am and pool bar open until 11.30 pm (when hotel was busier) however the bars would turn the music down from 11 so there is no noise issue from the rooms.
In a short this hotel is clean, friendly and always happy to help i would definitely recommend and return.

Myself, partner & 3 year old son spent 2weeks all inclusive here in the first 2 weeks in May 2014 & we loved it. The hotel & rooms were always spotless, the pools were always clean, the staff were friendly & helpful, the animation team were great at entertaining both adults & children throughout the day & night. The beach is right outside the hotel & there are also a few local shops for bits & bobs. We are looking at booking again next year.

Dear Guests,

Thank you for your feedback which is always very important to us.
We feel very sorry that we haven't met your expectations like we've done with other guests. We will take your comments into consideration for continuous improvement.
There is an underground passage right outside the hotel to reach the beach so there is no need to cross the road. I'm sorry you did not see it.
We take pride in our food offering and we are very surprised and disappointed to hear that we fallen short your expectation.
We hope to another opportunity to welcome you back in our hotel.

Kind Regards,
The Hotel Manager
