We stayed at this hotel from 10.9-17.9 of September and overall it was a very good choise with small details away from being a perfect holiday location !
Dionysos is located right behind Rhodos Palace hotel just some 5min walk away from the beach. Getting to the beach would be a lot easier if you wound't have to cross two very busy roads with light that don't always seem to work (but after first 3 days you'll get used to the local traffic perfectly).
The hotel itself is great. There is a security at the gate to make you feel safe, a supermarket and a jewellery shop in it for everything you would like to buy and couple of nice restaurants and bars in case you don't want to go looking for a dining place. The main building has a big bright lobby area which leads to the two other buildings via lovely green garden and close to the amazing pools with animators to avoid getting bored.
Our room was nice and spacious with a small kitchen for preparing breakfasts, good bathroom and a nice view to the pools (that by the way look stunning at night) and to the Aegean sea.
The only bad thing about the room was the door: there was 5-6cm gap between the floor and the door so whenever somebody passed by we ould not only hear their stops and conversations but also SEE their feet! Something that doesn't belong to the 4 start hotel...
Food in the hotel I cannot really rate. We only tried the hotel breakfast once (and were quite pleased with them) but as there is a supermarket close it was easier for us to prepare our morning coffee in our room.

Room Tip: In case you would like to have a room with a sea view then you should choose a room not in the main building but in the one across the pool area.

We stayed recently at this hotel and were very impressed........ We stayed 10 nights at half board....... this was the highlight of our holiday as we ate at both of the hotel's poolside restaurants, which are both Al-a-carte menues, the food was delicious and plenty of it, and quite resonable prices, and we didnt pay that much more than bed and breakfast, altho you would have to search web for good deals on this. The hotel is 4km from Rhodes Town and mainly the majority of restaurants which personally we found to be expensive. One of the delights is their greek kebabs they serve at lunchtimes by the pool at a simply affordable price of 2.40 euros. The pools are salt water pools and lovely and clean and we never needed to go to the beach. The staff are very friendly and the decor exquisite in reception area. we would defintely go back to this hotel, the only critisism I have is that outside the hotel the area of Ixia is quiet, so a visit into Rhodes Town for any kind of nightlife or shopping is recommended.

Room Tip: If you are in the main building you need to be higher to appreciate the seaview as we were on the 1st floor and had an obstructed view of hotel in front

My wife and I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. There are so many plus points and very few negatives. Those negatives are more about the perfect experience, than criticisms of the place itself. So let's start from the top...
The welcome and the front entrance. The hotel has a security person and gate, so you feel like your hire car is not going walkies during the stay. Once parked in the large car park, you walk into the hotel. The walk up to the huge double doors is a delight of plants, trees, beautiful stone work on the floor. A great start and it just gets better. The lobby is open plan and massive. To the right the huge reception and to the left the route to the restaurants, bars, swimming pools, super TV area and all manner of comforts. This place is clean, exciting and has more chairs, sunbeds and places to chill than is possible to use. It is totally a 4star plus experience. The staff are lovely, but very professional. Just what you would expect and want from 4 stars.
Booking in took seconds and we were off to our room. The lifts are clean, beautifully decorated and all working. The lobbies upstairs are carpeted to a very high standard and everywhere is decorated to a 5 star level, both charming and tasteful. That is where the first criticism comes in. When you enter the room, you are not blown away. Everything works and is clean, pleasant and functional. However, it is a little stark and does not have the stunning charm of everywhere else in the hotel. This place could be a 5 star hotel, but the rooms are a flat 4 star for sure.
If you have traveled lots like me in the last few years, you know that a 3 star hotel sucks. Half the stuff, especially air-conditioning does not work and that seems acceptable fare. My wife and I are not snobs, but we only travel 4 star now because 3 stars is rough at best. Simple truth.
The rooms are fine and aircon is great. There is a TV, fridge and balcony, but it all feels cheap and a little basic. A shame, because otherwise, this is a killer hotel. I totally recommend the location, it is so close to Rhodes Town, which is cool and lots to see and do, although please do not go to the Aquarium, it is the worst in the world. It is 5.5 Euros to enter and is 5.49 Euros too much. Simply awful for visitor and fish alike.
Food: Breakfast is a disappointment, just a below average buffet, but if you are not fussy, then it will do. Other meals are great and heartily recommend the grill.
To finish, I would go back to this hotel, we had a great time and it was a great gateway to all of Rhodes, which ROCKS!
A top holiday.

Hy,
We've been just back from Rhodos. We are recomending Dionysos Hotel because:
1. From reception: Friendly as greeks (you'll never know) Nektaria, thanks!
2. Room: cleanest as my home (my home is clean)
3. The pool is with Aegean Sea and with fresh water ( you don't have to go to the beach)
4. We've had HB. More than Enough food and various. I am recomending shrimps with ouzo soce as apetizer, and all of the main food. From Mastroiani Restaurant, Ellias, Andreas, Christos, Costas are the best waiters, Tsabika also!
5. Good space for childrens yard!

Remarks to Owners:
1: This is a Greek location! More Greek music, you are giving only 60-90' years music only for retire people
2. Employ some entertainment pool people in order to make the others happy!
3. Please make the sound louder in the restaurant when the singer are singing!

Stayed here for two weeks and were not disappointed at all. We are a family of five and all enjoyed it. We found the pool during the day to be peaceful and calm, great place to relax. We found this hotel reasonably priced. It is well worth it's 4 stars.
