“Very nice hotel, Staff very friendly.”
Reviewed 25 August 2014

I stayed at this hotel in Ixia Rhodes, mid July with my girlfriend; The hotel is located in a very good area about a 2 minute walk away from the beach. The food was very good at the hotel; breakfast is a large buffet with lots of hot and cold options, even chocolate cake which was great. Dinner was nice with plenty of choice and there were 2 restaurants to choose from for evening meal which were both very nice. The rooms and the hotel were very clean with the room being cleaned daily with fresh towels and bedding. The pool area was very nice with lots of sun loungers and also a pool side bar which was nice. The entertainment in the evenings was really good on a couple of nights, with one night an african acrobat group performed who were amazing, another good night was an english man and woman singing who were great, other nights were a few singers and dancers which were ok a bit average. The staff at this hotel were very friendly and made our stay very welcome. We stayed bed and breakfast which I would definately reccommend as there is so many places to eat in Ixia and Rhodes that it would be a waste to eat at the hotel all the time. The reason for not giving the hotel 5 stars is because the rooms were a little dated; especially the tv which had 1 or 2 english channels and was a tiny box about 15 years old. The air con was ok but needs modernising to a digital system, on arrival we were put in a different room as our room wasn't ready and we changed the next day which was a slight nuisance but nothing major. Other than that I would fully reccommend this hotel to couples and familys.

Loved this hotel staff were lovely ,great base for Rhodes town ...recommend a day trip to Lindos by boat only 15 euros
We loved the breakfast and the souvlakia bar was fab used the swim up bar with the lovely Anastasia
The swimming pool was amazing and clean I love the fact they don't let people reserve sunbeds and they remove towels love the water aerobics ..
Could do with more parasols and get down there before 930 .
The hotel rooms were lovely had an excellent room with great sea view cleaned to the highest standard ,bed was hard but we got used to it only thing I would change is we found it hard to dry clothes we have to use the chairs on the balcony ...and they don't allow towels over the balcony which keeps the 4 star look to the highest standard.
Ixia has a few restaurant's a walk away but we loved Rhodes town at night bustling great atmosphere .
Amazing cocktails x

Despite having no sea view, the hotel was at a a very convenient place and close to town (if you have a car). The pool area was nice and had many services (pool bar, restaurant) for any need. The hotel's personel was very friendly and very helpful in any question we had. Breakfast was unique and had a huge variety of choices.

The room was clean and spacious.

Generally it is a value for money hotel.

However rooms were (along with the corridors) poorly decorated. The same applies to the hotel's common areas.

Huge disadvantage is that it does not offer free wifi (not even in its common areas) and in our opinion the offers for the client to purchase internet service were a bit expensive.

Room Tip: If you choose to stay, get a pool view hotel

The Dionysos hotel is a great base to stay in Rhodes. Located just 3km from Rhodes town, it is in second row to the beach which exempts you from any traffic or party noise and makes the place a very calm and relaxing spot. The beach is only 5 minutes walk, with sun beds to rent (8€/day), the sea rather windy with great surf and kite opportunities all over the place. Rhodes town can be reached within 10 minutes by bus or taxi.

Staff are friendly and helpful, rooms spacy, clean and air conditioned. Comfy beds, great bathrooms, no party noise at night. The breakfast buffet offered anything you would like to see, the hotel restaurants, the bar and the other food spots not to forget the pita bar near the pool area offer a delicious range of food and drink choices at reasonable prices. The hotel lounge is spacy and open with nice couch areas. The pool itself is amazing, more resort-like with enough sun beds in the shade or the sun, a jacuzzi pool and a kids pool. Wifi is costly (about 50€ per week), however, with most carriers offering reasonably prized day passes, this was no issue at all. Most travel agencies offer daily excursions - we booked one to Butterfly valley and Chalki island including a ferry trip in one day, for anything else I recommend to rent a car (from 40€/day) and explore the island (especially the East Coast) on your own.

The guest audience is mostly Scandinavian, with some Dutch, German, very few Brits (they're all over the rest of Rhodes) and French, with half of them families with smaller kids (no kids entertainment tho), the other half being couples. People come there to relax and to slow down, so if you would like to party or to entertain yourself, rather go to an All Inclusive Resort in Faliraki or Ialysos.

Overall a really fantastic holiday spot, totally recommendable and a great bargain.

Really enjoyed my stay here! Fantastic pool that is clean and well kept. Staff are lovely and very accommodating and helpful, there are more than enough amenities on site (pool bar, lounge bar, souvlaki bar etc)

Although the location is a little out the way (15 minute walk to Ixia and 10 min cab to Rhodes town) this wasn't off putting, in fact it could probably be classed a positive for a nice quiet, relaxing break.

Rooms were very nice and clean, although the bed was like a slab of concrete at times. Well air conditioned and basic finish but well worth the price. Recommend highly!

Room Tip: We were situated right at the end of the corridor so did not experience any noise whatsoever , insid...

This hotel is excellent value for money it is set in beautiful gardens and is extremely well kept the gardens are wonderful and the hotel is immaculate kept in first class condition. The staff are very efficient and very friendly, the food is very good, a good choice for breakfast, dinner by the pool to be recommended.

The hotel is very close to Rhodes town where you will get an excellent choice of shops and restaurants, we hired a car but most people were using taxi's. Very easy to get to from the airport!

All in all this hotel will not disappoint you!

Room Tip: We asked for a quiet room and that was just what we got away from the pool area with a large balcony

The Hotel had a really peaceful atmosphere, the rooms were clean, the staff very good and the breakfasts excellent. We ate a couple of evening meals in the hotel beside the pool and the food there was excellent; worth the little extra compared with cheaper places nearby. This is mostly a hotel for families and many of the guests semed to be Scandinavian. The hotel is set back from the main road along the coast and so was quieter. I was there with my wife at a meeting and we really enjoyed it. If you were looking for a beach holiday, this is not the part of Rhodes I would go to, because the beach was not up to much. The hotel compenstaed with nice pools and garden.
