“Small, friendly hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 September 2012

2nd time staying at the Nathalie after staying here 3 years ago - recognised a few faces from the last time I was there.
Rooms are small, but perfectly adequate, cleaned every day and new towels provided daily.Paid for the aircon and 6 euros per day and found it a god send after struggling few a few Greek holidays without it - we did get use of the roof terrace for the last 3 days of our holiday which was very much appreciated and a very nice apartment to spend some time in.
As mentioned previously all the staff are friendly and will help you with anything that you need, food and drink at the hotel is very reasonably priced. Breakfast is basic, but adequate and served until 9.30am - I'd have preferred it served until 10, but that's a small gripe.
The bars and restaurants in Ixia seemed quieter this year, probably due to the popularity of all inclusive hotels - which is a shame as they are plenty of decent places to chose from

We returned here again this year, for the same two week period and thoroughly enjoyed our stay yet again. Emma, Maria and Linda on reception are all very friendly and helpful. Agnes in the bar (she was in the pool bar the year before last) kept smiling regardless of the demands for her lovely cocktails. Eva in the pool bar was equally friendly and helpful. The cleaning ladies did a wonderful job keeping the rooms and reception areas clean and their smiles were a pleasure to see first thing in the morning.
We were amazed to find so many people that we remembered from the year before, which just goes to show that the Nathalie is a great place for a holiday, if you like small, basic and very friendly hotels.
Air con is still 6 euros a night, safe deposit box 10 euros a week, washing machine 3 euros a wash and cocktails still 4 euros. All very good value.
We ate in the hotel restaurant one evening, the food and service were both excellent, and the cost was a lot less than surrounding restaurants.
The best place to buy trips around the island is the Sigma travel agency in the shopping centre on the other side of the main road going towards Ixia. They are very helpful and the trips are a lot cheaper than those offered by the rep. Especially useful was the bus trip they did to Lindos. The pick up from from the main road (opposite Hippocampus restaurant) and cost 14 euros each. This gave us 5 hours to explore all the sites and shops. If you do the boat trip to Lindos you only get just over 2 hours which isn't really enough time to explore properly (as we found out last year). Another trip worth doing is the island tour which takes in Ancient Kameiros and Filerimos (site entrance fees are extra).
For eating our favourites were Dimitrios, Napoli and Los Locos (Mexican), all within easy walking distance. We tried Jason and Coconut once each, but wouldn't go back to either.
All in all another great holiday and we look forward to going back next year.
Our thanks to Lisa and Yannis for providing such a wonderful hotel.

The previous reviews say it all, really. We picked this hotel based on its rating on TripAdvisor and couldn't be happier we did so.
Clean, comfy and welcoming, you really feel at home here. Cute Greek details in the decor, spotlessly clean and conveniently located for bus stops that allow you to explore the island.
As others already mentioned, though, what does make the difference here is the staff - everyone is absolutely lovely and couldn't be friendlier or more helpful, from the first person you meet to the last. We promised a shout-out to Maria who made us laugh, answered our endless questions and took our picture with a mouth-watering delicious pina colada :)

Breakfast was perhaps basic but perfectly satisfactory, and we had dinner in the hotel twice and had delicious food for ridiculously low prices!
And a special mention to the adorable cats that roam the place!

All in all, we really loved our stay, would recommend it to anyone and would not hesitate to go back!!

Room Tip: We were very happy to have a room facing the pool, as this was roped off between 8pm and 8am, so no...

I´ve been here for a week and it was a very pleasant stay. The hotel is simple, clean, calm and has all basic facilities. Near of the beach, it offers a really cozy and familiar environment. The hotel employees are very friendly and helpful.

One of the nicest hotels i've stayed at. Very clean with new sheets and towels everyday. Cocktails were amazing and the food at night was some of the best we had during our stay. I would highly recommend the Nathalie Hotel

It's a nice budget hotel in Ixia, with some rocky beaches nearby. The rooms are simple and very basic, there is a hair dryer in the room. Air conditioner costs additional 6€ a day. Breakfast buffet is very basic and doesn't change, we were eating the same things during 1 week.Swimming pool is small but seems to be clean. Stuff is very friendly and helpful!

We were so delighted with this hotel, not only is it PRETTY it has a lovely atmosphere, it's full of little surprises as you turn each corner, extremely comfortable and I have to say the staff make it, especially Eva at the amazing snack bar (which offers almost everything) she is worth her weight in gold with a number of Languages and her friendly manner. The owner Lisa was a pleasure to meet and nothing was a aproblem to her ie, directions best places to eat and even trying to get us a room on our last day as late night flight. We would without a doubt recommend this little gem and will be back for sure in the near furture. Thanks again Nathalie Hotel.
