The hotel was great- staff is kind and helpful. Location is brilliant. Breakfast was a bit dull. The rooms are clean and inviting with nice balconies. No view from my room, but who cares- you're not in the room most of the day. Bus services near by, pub areas are five minute walk. All in all I had a great stay there.

When i come to Rhodes, i used to stay here. But this time was so bed, that i will never want to came back there ! Ever !!! For room clean it wasn't so clean. And all the time we have problem with towler (becuz they r changing every two days, (R U joking ???!!!???)). That time they been fixing the rooms. So from 09.00h until 15.00 h we have noise every single day, also sundays!! We been coplaining all the time! But the last stuff which make us crazy was. When we came back from shopping and we found our room doors open ! And some guys working in the balcony! We go down to say about that. What administrator was saying : wait a bit i will say to them go out.... I was speackles ! I say to her, if something missing now in my room, who gonna bring me back that stuffs, U ? She was like, no...i understand that... Well sorry I DON'T THINK U DO !!!!! After all stupid conversation (it was the last night) we insisted other room (she even doesn't suggest for us) . I was really suprised how they been running that hotel.
Before U go there think twice !!!

For the traveler interested in see Rhodes rather than sitting in there hotel room, this is an excellent choice.

Comfortable, well appointed rooms, great buffet breakfast, friendly staff and a 10 minute walk to the heart of old town!

We didn't have reservation and had walked out of a very unsatisfactory hotel booked through a travel agent. They gave us a great price and welcomed us to inspect the room before registering.

There are many hotels to stay at when in Rhodes, but I often use the Lydia Hotel for various reasons. It is open all year round, the rooms are clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It is also pretty central for walking into the old town, and to the new town. Though you’d need a car or taxi to get to the larger ‘out of town’ shops, it’s pretty central for most other things.

The rooms are fine, a good standard, with all the things you’d expect and they are just as advertised here and elsewhere. The foyer area is still a bit dark and quiet at times, though there are TVs and the bar, a good dining room and comfortable seating, the brown décor is a bit of a 70s throwback! The price of an ouzo (a good measure of value n Greece) is around €4.00 at present which sounds like a lot but it comes with a plate of ham and cheese, and other things included, so works out as a good deal.

The self-service breakfasts are good and plentiful now too, with the full range of hot and cold, continental and British, healthy and not. Fruit and yoghurt, or fried eggs and bacon, or cereal and chocolate sauce? Whatever you want and lots of it.

Room Tip: Ones at the front are away from the kitchen AC noise.

The hotel is in a great location - within a short walk to old town, bus station, harbour and new town restaurants. The room and bathroom were quite spacious and well equipped. The bedroom only had one powerpoint located near the bathroom door - but reception gave me an extension cord . The bathroom was badly designed - but it had a great shower. The breakfast was amazing. In addition to the usual Greek breakfast items there was a large selection of hot options – waffles, bacon, scrambled eggs, fried eggs, potatoes, baked beans and mushrooms. There was also a large range of pastries and biscuits and sliced fresh fruit with filter coffee, hot chocolate and tea.

Had a 2 week holiday October 2013 at this hotel. Nice hotel, with easy access to the old town, two gates in easy walking distance. A short walk to the bus station, the harbour and the market which is the best place to eat. The buses are easy to use and the people in the kiosks give the best information on how to reach interesting sites. The only thing we did not like were the flights.

Room Tip: The main source of noise is the school run and playtimes, This did not disturb our nights.

We stayed in the Livia for 1 week and we had a lovely holiday. Friendly staff, clean rooms and and nice breakfast.
The biggest advantage of the Livia is it's location in the centre. The old town and Neo Agora are just a little walk!
If you are looking for an hotel in Rhodes and you want value for money, Livia is an excellent choice!
