“Honeymoon - Just the Job”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 October 2013

We returned from our ten day honeymoon at Camelot Hotel late Saturday 26th October We cannot speak more highly about the wonderful host Nina. She was just so attentive and nothing was too much trouble to ensure we had a wonderful stay. The breakfasts she served were just out of this world, wonderful home made grape marmalade and out of this world orange marmalade, good selection of breads and pastries. Eggs and bacon on two occasions and cold meats and cheese were also severed. The Greek yoghurt with honey just hit the spot for me. Plenty of fresh orange juice (which we saw juiced) and lots of coffee or tea. Our breakfast was like a banquet which set us up for the day. Our room was small but perfect in every way. The court yard was a great place to chill out after coming back from a day out and the roof garden had wonderful views of the city and also the harbour. Nina recommended good value eating establishments and we returned to Yannis which was a couple of narrow streets away most evenings. Cannot wait to return again yet more of the wonderful 'Nina' experience.

I have to post my first review on Tripadvisor as I truly enjoyed my stay here. Nina the hostess was very kind, passionate and helpful. When I arrived at the hotel, Nina warmly welcomed me and briefed me about streets nearby on her big framed map. The local restaurants that she referred me was fabulous. One of my favourite was Ta Petaladika near to the red / yellowish "single-leg building", which would be easily unnoticed unless you find it on purpose. I must say breakfast served by Nina was one of the best I ever had! Grape jam homemade by her mum, freshly squeezed Rhodes orange juice, rich yohurt from local farm with honey and breadcrumb, salami bun / sunny-side eggs in olive oil! I felt like living in heaven!

There are few hotels on the old town. So when u get a small room with a tiny shower and you can't flush loo paper but have to put it in a bin (because of ancient drainage) u can't complain. But this is a basic hotel. The only thing remotely 5 star about is the wonderful Nina who is a six star personality. The noise from the parties in the old town went on all night.

While there are so many things to recommend about this hidden gem, the most important one is Nina herself, she is amazing. Her care and attention to each and every one of her clients is unbelievable, whether you are staying for a short time or longer, she makes you feel special and important, something you rarely experience. She looked after my husband John and I like we were family, when I was not well, she bought special bread I could eat and squeezed fresh lemon juice for me, on days we were out she cut lunch for John. Her infectious smile will win your heart from the minute you meet her. Aside from that the hotel is in the perfect spot for whatever you want to do in and around Rhodes, it is quiet, spotlessly clean and really feels like "home". Our stay here was the highlight of our holiday. Kalispera to you Dear Nina. xx

This place is run by the owner, Nina. She's LOVELY and will make sure your stay is as well from the moment you arrive. The rooms are cute, super clean and comfy. She personally cooks breakfast for you everyday. She knows the best places in town so don't forget to ask her for recommendations of where to go for dinner, lunch or even sightseeing.
Best location, few steps from main plaza, restaurants and nightlife at a good rate.

We just left Nina and the Camelot hotel this morning and we already miss it. The hotel is full of charm and is located in the heart of the old town which makes it more magical. The rooms are cozy and the owner Nina makes your stay even better. She is just like a mother to us. From the moment we sit down for breakfast to little attention like the champane or the homemade ouzo in the room, we feel special. Nina is a ray of sunshine to everyone. She is always happy to help. She makes the greatest breakfast with fresh orange juice, homemade jam, homemade bread and so much more. We were always full after breakfast that we always skipped lunch. We will never forget our stay at the Camelot hotel.

We didn't want to stay at a generic, corporate-looking hotel in Rhodes. We wanted a uniquely beautiful hotel to experience the culture of Rhodes. That's exactly what we got at Camelot in Old Town! The hotel was built using the original 15th century stones. Camelot was quiet, peaceful, and charming. The best part of Camelot was its owner, Nina. She was warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. She welcomed us with wine and local melon. She also served us wine in the evening as we chatted with fellow travelers. The breakfast was tasty. She even packed us snacks to bring to the beach and home on the airplane. She recommended great attractions, tavernas, and restaurants. She just took excellent care of us, and we'd love to visit her again!
