Lots of fun learning about the proud history of the island. Makes you wonder why not every city has such a wonderful place to present its past in such an entertaining way. A modern experience for all ages, wonderfully presented. The museum is really cool as well! For large groups, book in advance.

My husband and I were approached by a sales lady in the street, always a little hesitant of these but so glad we decided to take sher up her offer. Such good fun for €10 and a further €3 for the short animated film.....we'll worth every penny!

We went to there probably a bit off-season at least we were the only 10 people (2 families) in the cinema. It was pretty expensive (53 EUR per family) At the same time it was really great experience. None of us has ever visited the cinema with such effects and after 30 minutes we could only speak in wow terms. Even though 2 of us felt really sick afterwards but despite of that they were really happy.

The Throne of Helios is an amusing and educational 20 minutes film that presents the history of Rhodes, combining Greek mythology and historical events in a most fun way. The film is very well made and it will help visitors to get acquainted and better understand many of the monuments, sights and attractions around the island of Rhodes, so I would recommend having this at the beginning of your holiday. Tickets are not expensive. The price of a regular adult ticket was €10 and for a discounted price of €13 you could also experience a second 8 minutes film featuring an ancient chariot race. We visited in late September, which is low season, and, as a result, there was no waiting line. However reservations and pre-booking is available through their website.
