“complained too late”
Reviewed 20 September 2011

The first look at the hotel isn't too appealing to be fair but once inside it does improve. We were tired when we arrived but the receptionist was efficient not quite friendly, she gave us the key to room 730 and with the barest of instructions on how to reach it she sent us on our way. The signposts were ok so didn't get too lost!! As soon as we entered the room our faces dropped... the room was tiny and at first glance I found the bathroom had only a toilet and a sink...I looked elsewhere and couldn't find anywhere else for the shower/bath we had been promised and had paid for.?? By this time my husband was getting quite wound up because the stains on the mattress could be seen through the sheets!!! I gave the bathroom another look and found that the shower was behind the door in the bathroom... it measured 3 tiles deep by 6 tiles wide??!! there was no shower curtain or shower door??? My husband said he wasn't happy as he's a big lad and would struggle to use the shower and he wasn't sleeping on that mattress so we went down to reception....this time the lady was a little frostier than before and said we would have to go back at 10 in the morning and she would see what she could do?! we returned to the room and I turned the mattress over which was a slight improvement and covered it with a blanket before replacing the sheet...now my hubby and myself do tend to be push overs at times and after a reasonable night we decided to stay where we were as the pool was right outside and we weren't far from the dinning room...after looking round the complex we realised that we could have been put miles away or in a room with the carpark view!!! so being the nice people we are (read idiots!) we went to tell the receptionist ..yes the same one... and said we were sorry for complaining...she actually made us feel that so we should be and to stop being a nuisance!!! during our stay we found out that we were the 3rd lot of English visitors to complain that day and the others had been moved ON to our block!!! to tell the truth apart from the shower we had a great time and the complex is lovely... that receptionist never spoke to us again but no loss!! we wouldn't visit this hotel again and would just warn if you do go stay away from room 730 at all costs!!! if you're given that key throw a tantrum do anything but don't accept that room...the others on the block are all fine apparently ...we're just lucky I guess lol. The couple that run the shop at the end of the driveway are lovely and friendly and if they don't have what you want they will get it if they can..really nice people. We always found something to eat but be careful what you order by the pool because most of the food is not included in the all inclusive program!!!

Room Tip: don't accept room 730 under any circumstances

The hotel was beautiful, very open.
Met lovely people there, AMAZING staff especially Giannis the main barman!!!
Also the animation team were so friendly and fun which made this hotel better. Very, very clean. Rooms are cleaned everyday, we stayed in a room in the main hotel, nice view, you can see the sea but the rooms are plain. The only things to complain about I'd say is the location of the the hotel, you have to get a bus if you go into town and the food, we all liked the food the first few days but then it was the same food everyday and we didn't feel very healthy. Appart from that we had a GREAT time away and would like to go back!

Start with good points
1) Weather is lovely and a nice gentle breeze helps keep you cool
2) Pools lovely front pool could of done with more sunbeds but back pool we managed to get a few for some of the days there by getting up 7am.
3) Our room if we had the door open had a great breeze.
4) Beer on tap

Now facts:

Yes you do have to pay for air con which didnt pay for as we had a breeze coming through with balcony door and front door open.

Food was ok some days we didnt know what stuff was as nothing is labled and yes some looked like it had been left over from lunch for dinner - breakfast give a miss !!

All inclusive does not include ice creams at snack bar or hot or cold food you have to pay there is only little cake things that we tried and were digusting.

Entertainment at night time could of been alot better more aimed at kids even thou most of it started at 9.30 - 10.30 and all inc bar finished at 11pm - bearing in mind bar doesnt close till 2am so have to buy drinks - we opted for going to the local supermarket and buying loads of cans of beer for 1 euro instead of a little glass of beer for 1.50euro.

Yes there is bus stops right out side of the hotel and goes straight in to Rhodes town very lively big and friendly with lots to do.

Overall the holiday was great we meet lots of great people and had such a laugh the hotel could improve by the food, more sunbeds and better entertainment.

Just spent a week at this hotel on a last minute deal.Having read reviews prior to travelling, and as a couple who very much tend to go with an open mind, we were pleasantly surprised in that the hotel offered all that we wanted. We had a very spacious family room with a very good size balcony. We found the food more than acceptable, the staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Our room cleaned daily, fresh towels and sheets Standard of cleaning to interior and exterior areas at the complex very good (They certainly work very hard). AI package certainly met our needs, bar and restaurant staff friendly and nothing too much trouble. The front terrace by one of the pools was a good area to sit at anytime of the day and the other pool and bar area to the rear of the property was ideal for families with youngsters. Beach a pleasant 5-10 minutes walk with cafe, sunbeds if required ( on a flight path, but good to watch the planes) Bus stops outside hotel front entrance, also great mini market too. One downside for us, was that it was noisy til 2am from our room at the front of the hotel with some guests still seeming to party on,which was slightly frustrating when trying to sleep by that time! Think we are getting old!! Otherwise a good standard of accommodation and amenities for what we paid for the AI deal.

We just got back, we on all inclusivepackage, cost 1500. went on the 30 august 2011 to 7th sept 2011. We had a really enjoyable holiday with our 2 teenage boys ages 13, and 14,the babies ages 1yr and 10 weeks, on our landing at the airport we got a 2 taxes, cost 28 euros, we thought this was expensive, has the hotel was a 5 minute drive. we found out later you can catch the bus for 2 euros each, from out side of the hotel, every 15 mins, great service to rhodes town and airport, very cheap. half price for kids. Dont get the transfers. The breakfast was plain but sustained life. 7.30 till 9.30. We missed breakfast loads of times saved our selves for the delicious lunch, all greek food no english, so if dont like stiffado, cleftiko. suvlaci, fish saith, stuffed vine leaves etc fresh local veg and salad, potatos etc, this hotel is not for you. get to dinner early or there wont be any thing left. rooms were cleaned daily fresh towels ecept sundays. all inclusive is well worth the money as eating out is expensive. on the A I package you had to pay for ice cream and snack bar. we requested 2 bungalows next door to each other, but ended up one near the poor and the other 20 + bungalos away so this wasnt good. 4 single beds in each room. cots provided, very large rooms, very basic but clean. if you have a large family of 6 like us just book the one bungalow, plenty of room. dont be conned into paying extra for another room.pool was cleaned daily, very deep,, but had a baby pool. have a trip to rhodes town this is worth a visit.to the castle, port, new part and old, very nice, would go back , overall enjoyed it, dont lissen to the moaners, well worth the money. ps the air con is an extra 37 euros a week each room. hope this helps, enjoy your hols

What can I say ? Only for the gang we met , fun and other stuff would be nothing , do feel sorry for entertainment crew , they do try , but hotel have no chairs for theatre , so show must be done in hall , which has no space , so I don't blame them , even day time events , there told a list of tasks to ask people to play French bowls , etc ! No football , or water games but water polo , as no equipment , and told not to disturb other guess , rooms are far too cramped to fit three adults and all the mosquito u have to share with , who have a feast while u sleep or shower ! They is nice town if u like a good hike in 34 c , and only 2,10 euro on bus to Rhodes town which has Market on thursday and macs if like like that stuff, but don't travel 2000 miles for that ? Ideal restaurant is less than 10 min walk who do fab food and show and karaoke , but if u want a tan Rhodes is the place , but go sc and money and eat out ?

Well let's start with check in, all seemed well once we'd established that for 3 people in our party we had booked 2 rooms not just 1!

When we got to our room it is like something time forgot, the bathroom was a garish pink colour with a lime green suite, the shower had no wall bracket, the shower hose and sealant round the bath was mouldy, and the green enamel had chipped in several places. The beds were awefull and the pillows would have been more comfortable if I'd slept on a bag of house bricks!

The food if you can call it that well in a morning if your lucky you get fried hotdog sausage runny scrambled eggs and beans occasionally and if your early then there's Greek yoghurt and bread ooh and if your really early sometimes cake too along with ham and rarely cheese. The orange juice is cordial and often runs out.
Lunch is mildly better with a selection of French fries and assorted 'meat' vegetables salad foods and melon for desert.

Evening meal is the left over French fries refried to warm them up again and whatever else is left over from lunch along with another assorted 'meat' and sometimes 'fish' oh an yet more melon for desert..... On the whole holiday we only ever saw one desert that wasnt melon..... A tray of cake which went within 5 mins of being served and was replaced with guess what? More melon!

The bathrooms fill with insects overnight and the aircon is a must even at 42 euros for a weeks stay

Don't expect a sun lounger unless you get up and reserve one at 4am the eastern Europeans polish etc are worse than Germans have ever been !

The snack bar is rubbish only seems to be open for 6 hours a day and the main bar doesn't open untill 5pm and when it does there's one member of staff trying to serve the whole hotels drinks, no all inclusive cocktails and the drinks available all Inc are beer wine soft drinks and gin and vodka no whiskey or other local spirits at all.

Reception have wifi available at a cost of 9 euros per week but they insist on setting it up on your laptop etc and when the dumb blonde tries and fails she blames your equipment saying it must be faulty.

Although there is an animation team at the hotel don't expect any evening entertainment as they don't appear to work nights, plus the hotel is miles from anywhere other than the airport so the most excitement you will see and hear is planes landing every 5 minutes and no I'm not exaggerating!!!!

In short DONT stay here even if you won a free trip here in a competition.
