“I want to go back now!!!”
Reviewed 3 July 2014

I have just returned from this hotel yesterday...it was one of the best holidays I've had. The staff were very friendly especially the manager petrose... Who gave us free tequila shots all night! Perfect for a couple or family holiday, we stayed in what they called the basic room but I thought it was brill... Massive room double bed and two singles with a balcony over looking the gardens and pool. The food was good, although not amazing but what do you expect when it's relatively cheap... We always found something we liked. They had entertainment on every night, and during the day pool activities like water polo and aerobics. I found the hotel very clean, the rooms were cleaned every day and towels replaced regularly, the pool was cleaned every morning and all the staff work very hard! There's lots of cats/kittens and dogs running about which I enjoyed as I'm an animal lover, and the butterflies were amazing! The complex is massive with two pools and 2 bars, it's a little out of the way from the town but for 2euros20 you can catch the regular bus into rhodes town which is beautiful especially the old town based inside a big castle. It was very hot reaching the 40s some days but with a lovely wind so it was bearable (I have a great tan) the only thing i didn't enjoy was the Mosquitos which you get everywhere but as the hotel is surrounded by lots of beautiful gardens there were loads I had about 30 bites even though I've never been bit before, so make sure you take good repellent with you and you'll be fine. Personally I don't think the pictures do this hotel justice and was anxious before leaving once I read some of the reviews but It really was a great holiday. We are already looking at deals to return!

Stayed self catering for 2 weeks.
Rooms are basic, no kettle or kitchen implements, only 4 knives, forks and spoons, a couple of plates and bowls and glasses and frying pan. Could do with a few extras such as dustpan and brush, kettle, toaster and wooden spoon etc.
Rooms were cleaned and towels changed daily however there were tiny ants constantly on the floor. We complained about one of the bed which was replaced after complaining 3 times.
We were on the second floor and the entertainment music was extremely loud going on until after midnight.
The pool is the best feature of the hotel as well as the entertainment team. Kids enjoyed playing boules and dad enjoyed playing water polo. The food is reasonable in the pool bar.
Rhodes town is ten minutes away by car, we hired a car for the 2 weeks, would definitely recommend doing this as there is so much to see.
We chose the hotel because it was cheap and you get what you pay for, we really enjoyed our holiday and if we wanted a luxury holiday we would have gone elsewhere, I've just tried to highlight the negatives to make you aware of them before you book.

We have just spent 14 nights All Inclusive at Filerimos Village Hotel and paid £460ea via Low Cost Holidays (of which just £210ea was for the hotel) so we weren't expecting 5* accommodation, just a clean room and basic food yet we came away from this holiday feeling it was our best yet. The hotel initially met our expectations, basic but clean room, food limited but lovely, out of town but only 20 minute walk. As our holiday progressed, we loved Filerimos more and more. The people really are fantastic here. Good fun, friendly, and so helpful especially Pedro, the Animation Team and Giannis in the shop. This is a very mixed nationality hotel, and at first we were the only 2 British there, but that is by no means a disadvantage. The hotel team (and many guests) are fluent in so many languages it put us to shame, so socialising wasn't a problem.
For the price we paid, we decided to eat out in Ialyssos a few nights, and the resort is fab for food. We didn't have a bad experience and many of the Greek people will offer free dessert or shots with meals. There is a brilliant bar called Kavalieros (left after la Serra restaurant) and the staff here are fantastic. They really looked after us here and made us feel so welcome that we regularly went there. Highly recommend a visit. The bus stop is just outside the hotel so you can jump on to Rhodes Town for just €2.30. From here we did a boat trip from the harbour, got on a free bus to the waterpark, spent evenings in the castle. It was fab.
Don't expect the world and you will have a blast.

I am going to write this review as objectively as possible. Myself and my boyfriend booked a very late deal to Hotel Filerimos for 1 week, all inclusive.

Overview
This hotel has beautiful grounds and a really nice pool/pool side bar area. The main restaurant where your all inclusive meals are is alfresco next to another pool (which was deep, 3.5m, but never seemed to be used). There is an indoor seating area if you prefer to sit inside, but it was always pretty stuffy in there. There is always someone manning reception, and there is another bar in the lobby area where the animation entertainment takes place (Sunday is day off).

Rooms
We arrived very late to our hotel (2am) and after getting our AI wristbands, were promptly checked in and shown to our room by the receptionist. The rooms are pretty large with high ceilings (we were on the bottom floor), and although we BOOKED a double bed we did only get two singles. The room wasn't immaculately clean (some moulding in the grout for example), but you could tell it had been thoroughly cleaned and overall I couldn't pick fault with any aspect of cleanliness.There was always hot water for showers too. I found the beds to be VERY hard, and actually had pain in my key pressure points for most of the week from sleeping on such a firm bed, so do be aware of this if you like a soft bed. There was also plenty of extra bedding in the room (but no extra pillows).

Food/Drink
As we were all inclusive, we had unlimited food and drink. Please note, ALL HOT FOOD is hot held, buffet style. The food was OK, and usually hot enough to eat. However, there is very limited information as to what things were (they did have menu signs, but they would just say things like "beef"), and particularly the quality of meat wasn't great at times. Here's what we were allowed, and what was usually served:

Breakfast
Served 7:30am - 10am. What's served? Breads, greek yoghurt, cereals, compotes, eggs, sausage (some days these were hot dogs), bacon (ish), cold meats (very processed), cheese, boiled eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes & sometimes scrambled or fried eggs. Pretty much the same most days. Tea & coffee available from a single dispenser, and grapefruit and orange "juice" which tasted more to me like concetrated squash.

Lunch (12:30 - 14:00)
Breads, usually some sort of pasta with the same two sauces (one very meaty looking one, and one tomato one which was heavy on the cinnamon - both for lunch & dinner), chips, pasta salads, leaf salads, feta cheese, tomato, cucumber, salad dressings, and a range of (sometimes questionable) hot foods. Tzatziki was in ample supply and was delicious. Also usually some sort of weird luminous desserts that looked a bit like Angel Delight, or jelly. Beer and red and white wine are available on tap, self service. As are a range of fizzy drinks, all of which were not name brand.

Dinner (18:30 - 21:00)
Same type of salads as lunch, usually some sort barbecued meat (you can see the dude BBQing it by the alfresco dining), someone serving fresh pasta, and other things like pie, moussaka (which was delicious), veg etc. Drinks are the same as lunch, as were desserts.

Drinks
Included in all-inclusive:
* Beer
* White/Red Wine
* Ouzo
* Brandy
* Vodka
* Gin
* Fizzy drinks & orange juice (not name brand).

Bars
Pool bar is open from 10am - 6pm and plays music during that time. There is a very small help yourself buffet which had weird Greek pie. Tasted nice, but I wasn't ever really sure what was in it. There's also ice cream, which was a nice treat (included in AI). Here you can get all your AI drinks during the day. Once this closes, the lobby bar opens and you can receive AI drinks until 23:00.

All drinks are served in very small plastic cups, so expect a lot of trips to the bar if you want a pint. We also found it was really hard to keep track of how much you were drinking.

Staff
Staff were very friendly and helpful, all spoke very good English. Animation team were also full of beans, and keen to get everyone involved in enjoying their holidays.

Points of interest
* The bus to Rhodes town stops right outside the hotel, it costs 2.20 euros each way (this also goes to the airport, and runs until about 23:30)
* If you want to go to Faliraki waterpark, there is a free shuttle bus that runs once an hour from where you get dropped off in Rhodes town (we did this and it was quick and painless)
* There is a ping pong table and two petanque areas (which you can play for free)
* There are three pool tables near the lobby bar, they cost 2 euros a pop
* The hotel itself is quite isolated, there isn't too much around
* This is on the flight path, so you do get airplanes flying overhead at all times, even late at night
* As with any resort abroad, it can get noisy at night once people have had a few
* Mostly French, Russian & Eastern Europeans staying here
* You will have to pay separately for A/C
* All rooms have a balcony or outdoor seating area
* Plenty of sunloungers, we never had trouble finding two together

All in all, we had a nice, relaxing holiday and enjoyed ourselves. The food was OK, but for the price we paid it was perfectly adequate. I wouldn't recommend paying more than £250-300 a week for this place, otherwise you may feel a bit short changed.

Room Tip: Something higher may give you a view of the sea, but we were on the ground floor so I couldn't g...

The overall review reflects the good value of my all inclusive package. The room was basic but adequate. The telephone was not connected. Room decor could beimproved. Cupboards basic. You had to pay an extra 7 Euros a night for the airconditioning and 20 Euros a week to hire a safe but the safe was not in the room but in/behind reception in the main building. The Hotel itself was generally in a better state of decor, clean, staff were pleasant and helpful, the animation team was 'young' and new and needs time to develop itself, but certainly were friendly and trying hard, the restaurant was clean, the menu 'excellent' with vision and certainly not boring. The hotel felt safe, was very conveniently located for access to Rhodes town (20 minutes on the bus). The swimming pools were well maintained and clean. The lawn/gardens were also well maintained. The hotel caters mainly for the French but that was no problem at all. I stayed for a week all inclusive returning to the UK on the 13th May and I will recommend this hotel and would stay in it again. My room overlooked the main pool with a patio door.

Room Tip: Overlooking the main pool directly or in apartments in the main building overlooking the Aegean sea.
