Would definitely recommend. Accommodation was fab. Maid in every day and room cleaned to a high standard.

Reception staff extremely helpful.

Pool area fab, and for the first time on a holiday no sunbed wars!!!!! We went in the middle of August and could stroll down to the pool whenever we were ready, there were always loads of bed available.

On site shop open until 10pm every day, sells everything you need. A couple of shops opposite hotel too. Nice bar opp hotel with free wi fi.

Food good, restaurant busy and a little noisy. Men are not permitted to wear shorts in the restaurant for dinner - you have been warned - she will not let you in if you are wearing them!!

Italian & Chinese restaurants were good and made a change from busy buffet restaurant.

Kid Club was OK, my youngest (6yrs) used it twice. Evening entertainment a bit lame, but better than nothing.

Short 15 min journey time from airport - great with young kids.

Would definitely return.

Keeping this very short but sweet!!!! EVERYTHING fantabulous!!! Went in May half term with friends and I want to go back NOW!!!!!!! The hotel spotless, food great, staff very friendly. A lovely quiet relaxing place to go. Very pretty surroundings and not far from Rhodes town. Didn't visit the Spa but it looked really nice when we went for a wander.

Room Tip: Choose pool view!!!!

Initially we were booking different hotel and at the "last minute" it appeared to be fully booked. We therefore had to choose literally in one day and Electra looked quite ok. Therefore our expectations were down since it looked much worse then the one we booked before. When we arrived at 9 am we were told that we will have to wait for the room of course, but we were pleasantly surprised when the "waiting time" was only 1 hour and then we were provided with the room. Since it was very fast, the room was not garden view as in our booking and we were promised to be replaced the next day. And the next day we were replaced without any reminders and the same day in the evening we received a bottle of wine and fruits in the number as a compliment (for the fist night spent in the room not corresponding to the booking). These small nice details are making very good impression. Thanks to Olga and Bogdana on reception. The food is great, the main resto is always full of choices of great delicious food. The only thing missing is music, which makes you feel a bit like in the canteen :) Chinese restaurant is also great! The sea is clean and the beach is quite ok! Stones are mostly everywhere in Rhodes this is why you have a crystal clean water, so its hard for me to understand why people mention this as minus. its nature! Planes were not bothering at all. Rooms are good, cleaned good every day! The hotel was full of families, so if you are waiting for the cool youth party hotel - its not the place :) its a place to relax :) great location also (stayed August 10-17, 2013)

Me and my boyfriend spent 4 days at the hotel, and had a very nice time.
GOOD POINTS
1) The location is very good. The hotel is located literally ON the beach, no need to get out of the hotel in order to get to the beach. In addition. It's very easy to get from the hotel to Rodos. There's a bus station 5 minutes walk from the hotel. from which all the buses get to the city. The buses come every 15-20 minutes. A ride to Rodos from Ialyssos costs 2.3 euros.
2) The beach is lovely. It's stony but all the northern beaches are. There are plenty of sunbeds for free.
3) The breakfast is GREAT!!! Rest of the meals are also good, not gourmet but tasty.
4) The staff at the reception is very kind. They answered all of our(many) questions and helped us plan our trip.
5) The rooms are beautiful and very clean. They are being cleaned on a daily basis. The beds are comfortable.
6) The pool is very large and the pool area is beautifully decorated with flowers and grass. There are free sunbeds all around it.
7) There are 3 bars in the hotel. 2 of them are active in specific hours of the day and the third is active all day long. There's a very large variety of drinks, soft and alcohollic.
8) During speceific hours of the day, there's a free snack bar with sweet and salty snacks.
9) The minimarket is very nice and open until 22:00. It offers many souvenirs in cheep prices, along with beverages and snacks.

BAD POINTS
1) In our room there wasn't a double bed but two seperate beds put together. We immediately went to the reception and asked to change to a room with a double bed, and were told that there aren't any double beds at the hotel. AT ALL. Makes no sense whatsoever! Anyway, we were offered a double matress to put on the seperate beds, so it would SEEM like a double bed. We didn't get it on the first day and sleeping on seperate beds was highly uncomfortable. But we got it the next day and it was comfortable.
2) The hotel has a very strange policy with towels. Apparently, the don't give you new beach towels if you don't return the dirty one. We were'nt told about that, so I left my towel on the beach because I saw many people did that. When I asked for a new one, they refused, But then I returned to my room and found two beach towels. Plus, they don't give towels on the last day so if you want to go to the pool / beach and the a shower you'll have to use the ones from yestarday. Plus, they are only willing to give towels on certain hours. After these hours they refuse to give towels.
3) There's no life-guard at the beach at all, and there is one in the pool though he's busy with the sunbeds most of the time.
4) The shower tap was a bit of a problem. It kept switching from hot to cold and from cold to hot on itself. Plus the water flow was weak.
5) The airport is very close so airplanes cross the hotel all the time. We personally didn't mind, but if you think it will bother you- think twice.

All in all, we had a great vacation... With a few oddities. But the hotel is definately recommended!

A somewhat typical all-inclusive package holiday resort. Although it is listed as a 5 star property, it' not really exclusive or sophisticated considering the per night cost. Vast majority of guests seem to be from Russia or other Eastern European countries. Not sure if they all paid 300 Euros per night but perhaps they did and that explains how rude they appeared to be. Rooms are spacious but could be cleaner and other than bath robes and slippers, amenities are minimal (toiletries). All meals are included in the room rate and although the main dining room buffet offers a large selection, I highly recommend making reservations at one of the other onsite restaurants (Italian and Chinese) for a much quieter and civilized dining experience. Beach is small but right on property (no roads to cross etc.), close to airport (planes fly overhead all day but building is adequately soundproofed), and a good ten minute walk to the main road if you want to catch a bus.

Hi there,
I read the various other reviews on this resort before booking but for parts expectations were not met and I guess that is down to individuals prospective versus my own interpretation. Having experienced the resort it was mostly very good - this is based on what I paid v what I saw/experienced.
The rooms are not what I would call '4 Star' but they were good and I had a lovely view.
The beach is mainly pebbles (stones) and it is quite a small but is maintained to a fairly good standard. So if you want a sandy beach look elsewhere.
The pool and outside are is really lovely and there are a couple of bars.

The food is very good in the main 'restaurant', it is fresh and clean and had a lot of variety to suit all our needs but has more of a canteen feel to it than a restaurant. The Chinese is below average and the Italian is good.
There are some wonderful people who work there - and they are the biggest asset for the Electra Palace hotel (although a couple were quite grumpy) - they work hard and at the height of the season the hotel is full and very busy it must be very hard work (but surely that is a good thing with the global recession/depression continuing).
Oh and you certainly can hear the planes day & night.. but if you know that in advance you may not mind.. and being approx 10 mins from the Airport means transfer times are very short :o)
All in all it was a very good experience .

Room Tip: Ask or chose an room with a sea view on a high floor- that is really a lovely view to wake to up..

This hotel was amazing and we would thoroughly recommend it. The room was very comfortable and importantly, very clean. The staff were helpful and very pleasant especially the bar staff. Thank you for your excellent service. Just one miserable man in the restaurant. Such a misery he became almost entertaining. Yes you must wear long trousers for the evening! We enjoyed the food, it is hard to please everybody but they have a good try. The Italian Restaurant was lovely too. You book for evening but not lunchtime. They have a Chinese Restaurant as well but we did not try it out. Next time we will. If you arrive late you have a pizza in the Italian, a very welcome treat. Our cases were taken to our room and were waiting for us! Not the usual struggle trying to find your room with all your luggage! We appreciated that too. Beautiful grounds which were so lovely to be in and look at, quite stunning in fact. The beach was fine, sand not yellow but greyish. Breezy too but that was nice and refreshing. All in all a very, very good holiday.

Room Tip: Upper floor so you have a good view. Only saw our room so cannot comment really. We always prefer...
