There is a long stretch of beach at Ialyssos which is pebbles. There are plenty of sunloungers to have a more comfortable rest - the sun goes round the back of the beach rather than bouncing across the water - except at a glorious sunset. The beach dips quite a bit so best to keep kids close by; although you can walk out about 5 metres/15 feet and still have shoulders above water as an adult. Minimal waves - and a nice refreshing breeze. There is a little prom behind the car park - but it isn't somewhere for a beautiful romantic stroll or a family stroll with a pushchair. There are a handful of bars/cafes along the beach front to take a lunch at away from the heat of the early afternoon sun.
