“A little gem”
Reviewed 1 October 2013

Stayed here for a week from the start of September with my two friends from Ireland and had a wonderful time. The apartment was spacious and spotless and the pool area was excellent with plenty of sun beds and a nice little bar/cafe to grab a cold beer. The family who own the apartments were really lovely and friendly, particularly Maria, who gave us a lift into Rhodes town and helped us arrange a boat tour. A supermarket and bakery are just up the street and taxi's are easy to flag down outside the apartments. A great place which I would highly recommend.

Yes the reviews are right the two roomed apartments are large, Kitchen is fitted out with a good range of units. Large fridge / freezer which is really great for keeping ice cream and the all important ice for your pre dinner drinks. But could be better if they had a toaster and more utensils for cooking / preparing breakfast /lunch when you want to .
The pool area and pool are wonderful plenty of sun beds ,good poolside bar and snack counter were you can take breakfast if you like.
Restaurant and bar to front of building which can get busy .
Food is first class but limited menu. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Down side is that the main road is very busy and we found off putting when using the restaurant and bar and also we had room 23 which is overlooking the bar and the balcony was overlooked so we tended to use only for the odd lunch and afternoons when returning to the apartments.

Room Tip: Rooms at back of complex above snack bar or corner bungalow.

Have just returned from another fantastic two weeks on this lovely island staying with the ever accommodating Paleos family.
We have stayed here on numerous occasions and each time our stay is better.
The weather was fantastic, our apartment clean with everything you could need from self catering.
No need to cook in the apartment when you have the lovely Georgia and Maria catering to your needs at the pool bar. Georgia also cooks in the evening and is forever handing out free tastes of her delicious Greek delicacies. Mike grills a great fillet steak in the grill in the evening, well worth trying.
Giannis at the bar on evenings kept us all merry not only with alcohol but with his sense of humour.
We meet people from all over Europe every time we are here and have made many good friends.
Nothing is too much bother for the Paleos family and they will do all they can to make your stay there one you won't forget. They are truly a wonderful Greek family and we look forward to our next holiday there.

I have just returned from a week at the paleos apartment. I must say it was over and above my expectations. The staff are very friendly and always ensure they go over and above to make sure your stay is the best possible. Its is made all the more enjoyable by being a family run establishment. The rooms are very clean and the food is of a good quality. I highly recommend this for a holiday where you like to go and relax and meet lots of friendly people.

This was our third time staying at the Paleos and yet again we had a wonderful holiday. We met up with friends we had met on our previous visit and also made new friends too. The family cannot do enough for you, it was my daughters 16th birthday whilst we were there and was surprised by a cake made by Maria and a party too. Giannis was a star and nothing was too much trouble. Cannot recommend highly enough, thanks to everyone who made it all so special. See you next year!!!

Spotlessly clean large and spacious apartments with a level of fittings more in line with 5 star hotels, a great welcome by Giannis & Maria and nothing was ever to much trouble and Mike & Georgia were brilliant. Food wise it was decent enough although the menu was a tiny bit lacking in choice but the food itself couldn't be faulted at all. 10 mins walk takes you to the bright lights and beaches and the local tavernas are very good and there is a wide choice as well. Made some fab friends with some of the couples who come here year after year and their local knowledge and advise was priceless.

After reading through many reviews we decided to spend a week at the Paleos apartments and I'm pleased to say we're glad we did. We were made to feel welcomed from the very start. I,m not a lover of public transport so Maria arranged a hire car for us at a good deal,Yannis advised us on places to visit which was very helpful.Driving in any foreign can be a bit of a concern but if you just take your time and don't get stressed if you take the wrong turning it's definitely worth doing.

We didn't eat at the bar every night but the couple of times we did we wasn't disappointed with good food and good value for money.

The place is clean and tidy and has a good atmosphere with the paleos family/staff and other guests all very friendly.

We arranged our own transport from the airport to the department by taxi which was easy enough but be warned the taxi driver will try and get you to share with other holiday makers which we insisted on not doing this as after travelling all day the last thing you want to do is go on a site seeing tour!

Yannis made us feel very welcome in the bar at night with his genuine friendliness and letting us help him eat his pizza.

We chose the island of Rhodes so we could visit the old town explore the island and experience the friendly hospitality of the Greek people and we were not disappointed.
