We came back a week ago from Rhodes, where we stayed in Forum Beach Hotel. After a week spent there we can only say that it was the best holiday we have ever had. We have been to Greece many times but this holiday was very special. Starting from food which was delicious(we had all inclusive), served from the very beginning of the day till 11 p.m., through a very nice staff always smiling even by hard work in 40 degrees, and ending on marvellous area, the hotel was situated in(1 minute to the sea). One thing we had to fight with, were mosquitos, however after using air conditioning we had no problems anymore. One advice we would like to give concerns the city of Rhodes, which you can reach in 15 minutes by taxi(14 EUR), please mind the prices in restaurants and in the shop. In the very heart of Rhodes there are many restaurants on the roof which are very expensive for foreigners, we spent 50 EUR for 3 beers, one glass of wine, pizza and sprite-the bill was corrected by hand and we paid 7 EUR too much. Also the small very lovely jewellery is more expensive as in the city where the hotel is situated. So it is really advisible to visit the town as it is gordious(especially the old town) but it is better to take drinks with yourself. Many many greetings to the whole staff of the Hotel-we wish you a lot of susscess and hopefully see you next time:)!Edmund, Kasia, Magda, Julia and Patrycja

Just back from a very enjoyable relaxing week at this lovely Hotel. Sure, we had a little glitch when we arrived at 11pm and our bed had a damaged leg...but the duty manager found us an alternative room without any drama. Apartment was bright, spacious and comfortable.

Staff throughout the complex were always courteous friendly and happy to help at all times. Special mention to Nadia, Lina, the restaurant manager.....and of course our friendly evening Barman! (nice guy). All bar staff in fact! The entertainment crew worked hard to get everyone involved, but if you didnt want to participate, you were NOT forced.

Our room was cleaned daily, and to a high standard, and our cleaner was very nice and pleasant too.

Pools were very clean, and although we preferred the quieter one behind the main block, the main pools were equally clean and well used. Sunbeds were never an issue, and there was a general acceptance of the "non saving a bed" mentality.....even with the Russians!! Beach was never overly busy and always could find beds there too.

Food! In our opinion, there was something there every time to suits most tastes....and mostly healthy options! which we didn't expect! (Had visions of Benidorm and Burger and Chips cuisine!) Fresh Pizza at the Pool bar is a must......but be prepared to wait, as all hand made as you wait. (It's probably a 3 beer wait!) but worth it!

Overall we had a great time, and to be fair paid very little for what we actually got in return, so cannot and would not complain about anything....except plastic glasses! ( But that seems to be norm for All Inclusive we think?) For our first All Inclusive holiday, we have to give Forum Beach Hotel a thumbs up......and ask that you read between the lines of those who have posted negative reviews. Some of those people will also have slated the Hilton!

.....We will go back again for sure!.

Room Tip: If you have a problem with your room, don't unpack. Contact the reception and explain your problem, If they change you to another unsuitable room do same, they will try as much as possible to make your stay a happy one.

Stayed at this hotel May 2012. I must say i find it very hard to write anything good about the place, although Nadia (the manager) was kind enough to find us another room on our second day. There was a big problem with mosquitos. Our room was at the back of the hotel above the sewers and the smell was so bad that we kept our door and windows closed. Our air con unit was broken and nobody came to fix it!.
In the computer area was the biggest dead cockroach ever, and it remained there for at least three days after i first saw it. Food was plentiful but bland and repetitive. I had my Grandson with me and he prefered the pizza by the pool in the day time. The entertainment (WHAT CAN I SAY!) they made the audience the entertainment. Overly persuasive method of getting people up to take part in the evenings shows!.(I could almost feel their pain). This was a poorly run hotel, and how they retain the 4 star status is beyond me!.
You could see they were stuggling to keep their heads above water- i think they should count their losses and just demolish the place and start anew!!!!!!! Do youself a favour and give the place a very wid birth!!.

Before I start let me say that I have never written on one of these things before, ... let me also say that I saw some negative reviews on this hotel before i went but i ignored them-BIG MISTAKE!!!
Just got back this morning from a lovely week in RHODES with the missus however I almost let this hotel ruin my overall view of Rhodes as a holiday destination.
Trying not to be long winded (which will be difficult) there are so many things wrong with this hotel:
*) ROOMS - Bog standard, old furnishings not a 4 star hotel at all. TV didnt work, telephone didnt work. Asked to be moved to a new room the night we moved in because we were given a room with 2 BUNKBEDS?!? when we declared we were a couple looking for a room with a seaview prior to booking.
*) AIRCONDITIONING - You HAVE TO PAY FOR IT IT IS NOT FREE WITH YOUR ROOM!!!!... we were charged 50 euros a week for aircon in a 4 star hotel?
*) CLEANLINESS-Had to wait to the third day for our room to be cleaned and sheets to be changed and that's only after we complained and kicked up a stink
*) FOOD- Very very disappointing.... better food at the poolside than in the restaurant
*) MOSQUITO/BUG PROBS - simply not dealt with at all.... its one thing for me to be able to fend for myself with spray, repellent candles etc in my own room, but I should expect for the necessary provisions to be made available so that i can actually eat a meal in the restaurant or chill in the lobby in peace without getting bitten multiple times.
*) CONSTANT BLACKOUTS - On average there are 5-10 blackouts a day running from as long as 5-10 minute intervals.

Best thing about this hotel to be honest was the majority of the staff, and the selection of swimming pools that was it. Nadia (i believe) who is the guest relations manager was superb, she helped us move out of our room the following day and was constantly checking up on us to see if we were alright cause she knew we were not impressed.
The restaurant manager was a pleasant fellow who was always kind and helpful. the entertainment guys (even though it was repetitive and uninventful at times) were good personalities and good guys...

Serious word of warning people!!!! if you are a couple you will be disappointed with this hotel no doubt.... if you are a family with kids you may get by....however the quality of the facilities, the service, the food, the room!!! makes me rate this hotel as a 2/3 star at best....

Room Tip: ask them for a room with a seaview

not the best start, we were meant to stay the residence hotel and on arrival was told it wasnt open and we were staying at the forum beach down the road. First impressions of the place were fine check in was good and the reception area looked ok. We were given room 814 as we walked in my wife burst into tears it was more like a cave at 1,30pm we had to put all the lights on to see where we were going, this 800 block which is right at the back is also the staff accomodation block and it seems the norm to put us brits out there so i went to see nadia (who is a lovely person) and she moved us above the restaurant (room no 1 ) which was better but still drab i cannot understand why we had dark wallpaper and a thick carpet which gave the room a musty smell. the pools were fine but to escape the loud music we used the pool near 800 block which was much more quieter, we loved the beach ok it was stoney but there were plenty of large sunbeds and very peaceful. i thought the food was ok no different to a/i in turkey i love salad so no problem for me the drinks were fine yes they are watered down but who wants to get bladderd in the daytime? the staff were fantastic they worked hard and was always polite, In the evening there was entertainment it wasnt our thing but they made an effort and some people did seem to enjoy it. There are plenty of restaurants and bars in the area to choose from cocktails were 5 euros and were properly made we do not hang around the hotel much so we had a fantastic holiday and will go back to the area again but not at that hotel the rooms really do let this hotel down, GOOD TIP: mosquitos are a nightmare, in the supermarkets they sell a candle ( yellow in colour) which smells of lemon and kills them a must buy!!!
