I have to start off by saying that after reading the reviews I was a bit hesitant. But after staying there, I really don't understand why other people wrote what they did.
I think it all depends on your expectations and level of 'picky-ness'. I guess there are always people who will find things to complain about.

We stayed in a newly beautiful renovated room, overlooking the pool, it was spotless, and really nice. (yes you should bring your own shampoo!). the rooms were cleaned everyday.

The food was good, allot of dishes to choose from. Great variety, the staff in the dining room were outstanding !!! always there to help. assist or recommend a good dish. and always asked us if we were happy, satisfied and "did we taste the onion soup"... :)
As other have mentioned the Pizza corner near the pool was fabulous. I can still taste the flavour in my mouth !
The pool area was really nice , although we were there at a quiet time (end of April) so it wasn't noisy or crowded.
The staff were remarkable!! whatever we needed they were only too happy to help. Nadia called us in our room just to make sure we were happy with it, she gave us advice about the Island and places to see etc. Whenever she saw us she asked how we were doing and whether we needed anything.
I would go back anyday !! Thank you for making our stay so wonderful !!

Room Tip: ask for a renovated room !

This is a fantastic place and the staff (including the manager!) is very friendly and super service-minded. As previous reviewers already have commented: great and clean rooms, nice big pools and excellent food. You will not starve and if you want to eat something for fun in the breaks between the meals there is pizza and salad bar. We have enjoyed the vacation at FORUM BEACH HOTEL and will certainly look forward to return!

Great place to stay – nice, clean and modern rooms, fantastic staff and wide choice of food. Had lovely BBQ lunch by the pool one day and there is pizza and salad bar available there too if you don’t want to go to the restaurant. Nice, big pools. Weather wasn’t good for a few days – it rained but there was still plenty to do – Rhodes Town is only a short bus ride away.

Found really good price on booking.com. This is a lovely hotel. All the staff went out of their way to help you, especially Nadia the lady on reception. Rooms are spacious and very clean and food was great. I will be booking this hotel again as I really enjoyed my stay there – excellent hotel!

Room Tip: Superior apartments are marvelous!

We originally booked the hotel just up the road, the forum beach's sister hotel. Upon arriving we found out that our hotel was under refurb and we were moved to forum beach. Problem was, we were put in staff accommodation and hardly slept all week. After the staff finish work at around 1am they then go and get ready to go clubbing and the noise until past 2am was too much. After getting 3 or 4 hours sleep we were then woken by screaming, drunk teenagers every morning. Our travel company, On The Beach offered us compensation of £25.00 off our next booking with them LOL, as if I will ever use them again.

This hotel was picked for myself and a friend as they have a spa here. Upon arrival we were told that although we had booked a sea view room, it was not ready, that block had not been opened yet this season and so they would upgrade us to a pool view (this was not an upgrade, it was same price as sea view) When we got into the room, found no curtain up, no bath mat, soap, toiletries, frayed towels that were not as white as meant to be, no kettle, few bulbs gone in the lighting. Later found no kettle, no hot water, and sheets on the beds were not really big enough for the beds. Made a list to go to reception, some of the things were put right, kettle still didn't work but we found later it was the socket not working. No toiletries due to being in Greece we were told. On going to the spa found that the spa pool was empty (no water) same with the Jacuzzi. It was filthy dirty with black mold on the edges, tiles missing on the floor around the pool, and many broken. We were told yes spa open, but only for massages, which were very highly priced! Very disappointing, we were told that it would be a few days and all ok, 1 week later still the same. Also told that use of spa pool only if you book treatments, we'd of booked treatments just to of used it. Food - breakfast was normal standard stuff, however the butter was in the opposite area to the bread, also witnessed staff adding hot water in the beans to make them go further, or try to warm them up! Pancakes were cooked in large batches and put a few at a time under a red warming light, which didn't really warm them. There appeared to be a shortage of cups too, many people were having to have tea & coffee in glasses. Lunch we used the pizza man by the outdoor pool and found that to be good. Evening meal - Again the logistics of where they put the food is not right, soup tucked away in an area by the door, then the desserts, then bread (with the butter being in the far corner with the salad bar) then warmish buffet, then carved meat of the day under a red light (get there early once its gone thats it!) then the salad in the corner. To us it seemed wrong layout, others were mentioning it too. The food was practically the same every day with slight variations. It was bland, nothing special at all, certainly not a place to go if you enjoy food. Desserts - Ice cream 4 flavours, mousse and cake once. We ended up eating out 3 nights at Alkinos Sports bar, great food there, hot too! Drinks - you didn't get the same thing twice, staff weren't always sure, following a guide under the bar and not measured amounts so sometimes lots, sometimes very little. If you don't like smoke then avoid the bar by the reception, it was like walking into a smoke cloud, and clothes stunk after, and that was just from going in getting a drink and walking back to our room to drink it at night as there was no where else inside to sit and enjoy a drink smoke free. We went just after easter and thought that things would be open and all working, how mistaken we were, will never go back to this hotel, never tell anyone to go there either! Book this hotel at your peril, you've been warned! Oh and mind the cat muck on the stairs when you go down them! This is no where near a four star, 2 at the most.

Room Tip: Don't choose a room here, try another hotel

We have just return from a 5 day all inclusive. break in Rhodes. The hotel made you feel so welcome. In the reception, the staff gave you a big smile and ask how you were every time you passed by. Nadia was really friendly, if you told her where you were going that day, she always remembered and asked if you'd enjoyed yourselves on your return. The restaurant staff were polite and happy to help. We always found the food to our liking, and if nothing appealed to you, you could always go the www.bar, where there was fresh Pizza being made, sandwiches and salads. On Fridays they have a lunchtime barbecue typically greek style. Petro the restaurant manager was always on hand for any problems you may have. The room had been modernised and was very comfortable and clean. The beach is across a small road but there are plenty sun beds available for the hotels residents. lovely place to watch the sun go down. All in all a very good hotel and will definitely return.

Room Tip: Request an upper floor, we were sort of below path level although it was fine. They have very good d...
