“Surprise Stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 June 2013

Stayed at this hotel in June, I had originally booked to stay at a different hotel, but on arrival they informed us that they had a plumbing problem, so had therefore arranged for us to stay at another hotel. I had done my homework reading reviews on tripadvisor before choosing our hotel, so it was with some apprehension that we were taken to the Kolymbia Bay. I should not have worried, we have a lovely holiday, the hotel staff were very good, nothing was too much trouble, food was excellent, and the room was comfortable, the bathroom was a little bijou, but adequate. It was also situated very close to the beach. Thank you Kolmybia Bay for a great 2 week stay, and for stepping in at the last minute to save our holiday, from what could have been a disaster.

I stayed for three days at this really very good hotel. I was travelling alone and felt very welcome. The staff were really helpful and my room was large, comfy and very clean. The breakfasts were excellent. The hotel is very near the beach and perfect for a short break. This hotel was really good value.

I was here last year for 3 days, and I was superhappy with the hotel. This year, to be honest, I'm not at all. Yes, the price in low season is AMAZINGLY cheap (for example may) and you get a good breakfast for it. This is actually the only reason we took it, since Kolymbia is really in the middle of nowhere, and you need to have a car to see something more than it's secluded beach.
Anyway, what bothered me most was spending 2 days without a decent shower because there was no sun, and the owner doesn't want to put on the gasoline warmer (without even telling that, just saying everytime YES YES there will be hot water in 30 minutes, and after 2 hours i'm still not able to shower). That was really aweful, especially the part that they didn't say directly 'there is not gonna be any real warm water', but just kept us hoping. I heard of other people that they ordered a room with jaccuzi, and did't get one, also not so nice for them. Twice I found a cukroach in the room. Don't know, i can't help but be cynical about the hotel this time. Yes, it is cheap (only in low season though), but no,I don't feel like the 3 stars are at their place here. And well, the rooms are nicely decorated, and yes, there is a painting in every room, can't say nothing on that aspect, the rooms are nice. But finding roomdresses in the bathroom that are full of tiny (bird?) poop really made me forget that...

Room Tip: Apparently the hotel has a VIP room that is more like a ballroom (it's huge). If you like space...

We spent 4 days in this small but cozy hotel. The prize is amazing with breakfast and dinners included!!!
The staff is really helpful and friendly. One girl at the reception even gave us a map, and took the time to point us out all the MUST SEE sights!!! The rooms are very clean and serviced daily.

The FOOD is GREAT!!! A great big buffet!!! For the first time in our traveling live, we never missed a dinner there!! Every day was totally different and delicious!!! We also got a free experience in their wellness room with a tropical-aroma shower.

Its great located in the middle of the island so you can go to all the points and go back!!!

The only complaint is that the pool it's not in the same building. But it has a nice bar...

Room Tip: Ask for sea view!!!

Small ( 50 rooms ) family run hotel - mother, father and son. The staff are particularly helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and serviced daily. We were on a bed and breakfast basis, so can not comment on food. However breakfasts were good ( 7 -10 a.m.) and if you decided to stay longer in bed, breakfast was served after 10a.m. at the pool bar. The beach is literally across the road - if you want a sea view do ask, as some of the bedrooms have "garden views". There is a quiet calm feeling to the hotel, probably due to the fact that there are no children there, being an adult only hotel.

Room Tip: Higher floors have views - you may have to pay a little extra.

Very small, cozy hotel (50 rooms) designed exclusively for adult guests, mostly from Slovakia, Russia, Germany and Poland. Hotel recently renovated with guided many artistic elements that emphasize the pleasant atmosphere that prevails in it. With eye view of the beautiful, crystal clear water. Located a few steps from the center of Kolymbia (halfway between Rhodes and Lindos), a small and intimate village-city, which is becoming an increasingly popular holiday resort. The famous Eucalyptus Street, where the nightlife and shopping is focused is within 15 minutes walk. An undoubted advantage of the hotel is its location right on the beach Kolymbia Bay (you need to cross the street and lawn belonging to the hotel Veraclub Kolyma Beach) and beautiful views from the balcony (if you buy the option: room overlooking the sea). Around the luxury hotels, peace and quiet. Transfer from the airport grass about 40 minutes. All the people working in Kolymbia Bay Art are very nice and friendly, trying to help in all possible cases. Bartenders at the Banana Club serves excellent drinks and other branded beverages. Room cleaned every day, clean and tidy. In the formula, all inclusive meals very good and in sufficient quantity. The hotel organizes theme dinners (excellent evening in Greek). There are no evening activities in the hotel, probably because of the relatively small number of guests -more fun can be found in the center of town or away, a few miles in Faliraki. Room clean, cleaned every day with many charming features incorporating the artistic atmosphere - unfortunately relatively small, also small, but clean bathroom.

Very friendly people, good prizes, good food. Great breakfast buffet, not common in Greece. We booked a sea view room on the 2nd floor, wow, what a view! Epharisto Manolis and staff!!
