Note: was here in 2013, so it's been a while.

Lovely place. The BEST all-inclusive I've done - reckon it's up there with what the standard big companies have on offer. The resort isn't tacky at all, no noisy kids (adults only), the food is great, and the staff friendly. Not to mention the private beach! Want to go back soon!

Yes, it's not a true 5-star resort (you're not paying those prices so why expect that!), but it's as good as it gets for the money. I'd say it's more of a 4-star standard and the surroundings more than make up for anything you may pick up on.

My partner and I have just returned from this hotel. we stayed here for a week, from the 28th of May-4th June 2014. We were half board and were very happy with the whole experience. Ranging from huge, clean, well equipped rooms, to beautifully landscaped exterior, all we can say is we loved it. I will say though, the male staff did seem to be a lot friendlier than the female staff, and the cleaners were pleasant. I was very surprised though, to find a bottle of bubbly in our room on our return, one morning, it was my Birthday that day and I assume the person who had cleaned the room had noticed my Birthday cards and had passed it on to management..a nice touch and very much appreciated. How anyone can say the food is average and there's not enough choice is beyond me, I have never seen so much choice and variety, It was all very tasty and plentiful, you could eat very healthily every day, or very naughtily! . Yes, most of the clientele is of the older generation, but not all young people are after clubbing and getting drunk every night. This hotel is for for people who just want a little pampering, peace and tranquillity. Everyone wants different things from a holiday. My partner and I wanted to explore the island, which we did and Rodos cars (the car hire company in the hotel) had very reasonable rates. (65 euro for 3 days) Lindos is definitely worth a visit, with quaint cobbled streets and houses and lots of lovely shops. Watch the bus services though, if your using that for your transport. we missed our bus back from Rhodes town to the hotel, as the bus had left 10mins earlier then stated, so get back to the stop 20mins earlier, or you'll have to wait another 2hours for a bus and as it was my Birthday that night, It spoilt the night.as we didn't get back in time to have a nice relaxing evening. We found the entertainment very good, with excellent singers, dancers and performers, it was a pleasure. If you're umming and ahhing over this hotel, we loved it and we loved Rhodes, we hope to go back again one day, go for it!

Room Tip: If you want to sit on your terrace and enjoy a nice view, make sure you choose a sea view room, we u...

Just returned from a weeks holiday at the Atlantic hotel, the overall holiday was very good,we went all inclusive and found the food at all three meal times varied and of good quality, also the drinks of a good standard, only down side our rooms were in a block on the edge of the complex first floor looking down on the swim up pool which we could not use also had to walk by the other reserved pool on our way to the hotel facilities a fairly long trek which we did not expect also felt very out on a limb from the rest of the hotel,a bit like second class holidaymakers, pool area was very good and did not find any problem getting sun beds together we looked into changing rooms but decided to much hassle so stayed were we were, would I go back maybe,if we were closer to the main hotel,

Stayed at the Atlantica Imperial from 27thMay-3rdJun this year and honestly it is an average hotel. We found it a bit hit and miss with the friendliness of the staff, some are lovely and polite whereas others were rude, e.g. we politely asked if the cleaning lady would come back a little later and she muttered something in greek(presumably) under her breath and slammed the door without answering which to me seems very rude. There was a clear distinction between half board and all inclusive, we were given no info on facilities at the hotel or in the surrounding area and some of the info we were given was incorrect leading to us lost in Rhodes town for an hour and a half asking locals where the bus station was. The food there was edible but nothing of what we were expecting for a 5* hotel, we were lucky enough to have a discount on the price but personally i would be extremely disappointed if i paid full price for this hotel as we were left to fend for ourselves. The food and drinks outside of the hotel were a hell of a lot cheaper and tastier than the buffet style meals being served at the hotel (reason for lack of info maybe?). Getting a sun lounger round the pool was difficult as everyone seemed to be up at the crack of dawn to lay down towels and you have to pay for the hotel loungers that are on the beach. Overall the guests staying at the hotel were a lot older than us which of course is not a problem but we did feel a little out of place being considerably younger, so would recommend for the older traveler. Would not return as again it was an average hotel that didn't excite but only sufficed for a relaxing holiday.

Dear guest,

Thank you for taking time to leave your comments on Trip Advisor.

We are sorry the hotel did not reach what you believed it would be. For the reasons we will outline below we strongly believe that your review does not match the services and standards we offer to our guests and also the opinion of the high majority of our guests.

There are plenty of sun beds around the pool and garden areas and you will notice from many other reviews that some of our later rises still manage to find sun beds after 10am. If you would have spent a couple of minutes to speak with our team we would have been happy to assist you.

Regarding your negative comments about our service team. The customer satisfaction is one of the highest within the same category of hotels and the feedback is consistently excellent. It is unfortunate that we had to learn of your issues from Trip Advisor as if you had addressed these with us in resort we could have offered you our assistance.

We were also concerned to read that you found our bar and restaurant prices to be expensive however again we would like to assure you that our hotel’s pricing policy is aligned to what other five star hotels charge and we feel sorry if this was perceived to be out of the norm. Additionally, we strongly believe that our prices reflect to the high standards of service and product that we provide for all our hotel guests during their holidays.

Once again thank you for your comments.

We are a couple aged 28yrs and stayed at the Atlantica Imperial Hotel for 2 weeks on 20th May. We chose the hotel as we wanted to get married there also. We booked throught Thomson, but there is no benefit travelling with them or booking flight and hotel seperately.

Check In
We arrived after 10.30pm and were greeted with sparkling wine/ champagne and cool flannels. Check in was quick and efficient. We requested a safe immediately and were given information on how to collect towels. We were then escorted to our room (104) in the golf buggy. Our room was a superior sea view, and it was such a beautiful spacious room. Excellent storage facilities, nice large bathroom and wardrobe, plus our own private sun lounger on our garden. We had wine, fruit and sandwiches waiting for us in the room. All inclusive finishes at 12 (bar open til 1am) so we managed to have a few drinks before bed.

Wedding planning
We met with Chrysa (guest relations) on our first day to finalise all our wedding arrangements. She was absolutely fantastic and arranged everything we wished for including breakfast in bed, flowers, ironing of suits, the list is endless. She also managed to get us a few discounts and upgraded us to a private villa (601) for our last week!! We can not rate Chrysa highly enough for all the support she gave us and I would recommend anyone considering getting married at this hotel arranges it directly through the hotel and Chrysa.
We had our reception on the terrace and our reception at Mylos windmill. Would recommend highly as a wedding location.

Hotel
The hotel is beautiful, lots of flowers, beautiful gardens including mint plants around the hotel. Stunning views of the hills/ mountains around the hotel. Both our rooms were stunning. We also had many guests (12 guests ranging from 25yrs-60yrs) staying at the hotel so saw different rooms and all were very good condition and nice rooms. None of the rooms we saw needed updating, they were all very nice with touches such as fresh flower in the bathroom daily.
The pool area is also stunning with lovely views. It isnt too deep and you can touch the bottom of the pool in most areas (for those nervous swimmers). Sunbeds were really comfortable big cushions. Many sunbeds were reserved early but we never had a problem getting sunbeds. Sunbeds near the sea and close to the pool were reserved first, but there were many of the plastic style sunbeds on the grass available which were also comfortable.

Food
The food is excellent. We have stayed in many 4-5* hotels around Europe and the Caribbean and the food at this hotel was the best. Not only was there a wide variety of choice but the flavours and taste was amazing. So much choice we did not get bored even after 2 weeks, and would happily have eaten the food for another week! Really enjoyed the vast variety of salads, cheeses, greek corner, show cooking and hot food. Food always hot and plentiful. You really can't beat the food at this hotel.
We ate at both a la Carte's but preferred Mylos. The service and food was exceptional. You have a small menu of food included in the all inclusive and the rest of the menu is charged. We ate the free options and we were not disappointed. The view as it gets dark from Mylos is stunning.

Staff
The staff at the hotel were the most friendly and helpful I've encountered at a hotel. They remember your name and your drink orders! They would bend over backwards to help you in any way they can. We had a few problems which were sorted promptly and effectuvely. The hotel even lent us a travel adaptor as we lost ours! We would like to thank all the staff at the hotel; the reception, bars, restaurants, porters, spa- everyone for your kindness, freindlyness and help. You made our holiday and wedding so amazing! Its the staff that truly make the hotel a 5* hotel.

Spa
Had a fantastic treatment at the spa, would definately recommend.

Kolimbia
The resort is a nice quiet resort with bars and restaurants and shops. Easy to access Rhodes town and Lindos via the bus in less than an hour. Faliraki is 10 minute taxi ride away. The beach is pebble but from driving around Rhodes, so are most beaches. There is a beautiful sandy beach at next resort Tsambiki. Lots of car rental shops but main one is Rodos and is located in hotel and few shops in Kolimbia too.

Overall we had the most amazing wedding and holiday and we can not recommend this hotel highly enough to anyone (over 16yrs of course). Wish we had never left!

Room Tip: 104 is a superior sea view with private garden. Its at far side of hotel so its at the quieter side...

We have just come back from the Imperial at the end of May. The hotel is nice and certainly when you arrive in the big domed reception it can be impressive but the rest is definitely not 5*. From the rooms to the food and the staff service at reception. We have travelled to many 5* hotels and stayed at another 5* Thompson couples resort in Crete (The Island. Incredible) which was far superior and what we called luxury! Our room was basic and outdated but clean. We had a sea view which we paid for and that helped. Our air con wasn't on and when we complained we were told they couldn't put it on until June. We hadn't slept in 2 nights due to the heat. This was eventually resolved through our rep after 2 days of complaining but the staff at reception are very frosty and don't have much time for you however once resolved we did get an apology and a bottle of champagne. The pool is quite small for the amount of guests and be quick in the morning to get a bed or you have no chance. Everyone seems to get up at 6am to put there towels out! The food was average buffet style and by the end of the holiday I was over the hotel food and got a bit bored of it. We are a young couple and noticed the clientele at the hotel seemed a bit older which didn't bother us as age doesn't matter but I did see how the staff treated them all a little different. So overall we had a lovely relaxing break but I wouldn't go back and I wouldn't say it is luxury. We spoke to a few guests on our departure plane that we had come to know and they all agreed on the 5* status. Why go abroad and stay somewhere less than you would in your own home.

Dear guest,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review on Trip Advisor, we truly value feedback from our guests to enable us to continue to meet our guest’s expectations.

We were surprised to read your comments regarding air conditioning and also we are sorry that you received wrong information.

For your information, air conditioning operates throughout the duration of the summer season, from the first to the last day and never had a problem with our clients concerning this.

We are proud of the food quality & variety we serve to all our guests. Of course it is sometimes difficult to please everyone, however we believe your comments do not reflect our standards.

There are plenty of sun beds around the pool and garden areas and you will notice from many other reviews that some of our later rises still manage to find sun beds after 10am. If you would have spent a couple of minutes to speak with our team we would have been happy to assist you.

We do hope that despite the above you managed to enjoy your holiday in Rhodes.

Just came back from a fantastic 10 days at the Atlantica Imperial Resort. This was our 10th visit, and everything was as good as the first, if not better. On arrival, everyone is greeted warmly by the reception staff, and made to feel very welcome. The hotel is always busy, however the lounge area, the pool bar and lobby bar are never crowded. The atmosphere is very relaxed, and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Special praise must go to Paris in the Lobby Bar, as she never stops and always has some funny quip when serving you. She is a credit to the hotel. The bedrooms are spacious, and are always spotless. The meals in the restaurant are an absolute delight, from the starters to the magnificent sweets, and the staff are all courteous and friendly. One of the highlights of our stay, was having a meal in the new Mylos restaurant in the windmill. The setting and the food is absolutely fantastic, the Atlantica is very fortunate to have an excellent Executive Chef with a brilliant team working under him. The entertainment provided by the hotel was also excellent. In all our visits to the Atlantica, we have not seen anyone better than JS2, who are the new resident duo. Julie has a brilliant voice, and Andy is also excellent on the guitar. Julie's version of Skyfall on the outside stage at the Manager's Cocktail Party was brilliant. In the Lobby Bar they do a Jazz Session which is outstanding, I hope they will be a permanent fixture in the hotel. The new Guest Relations Manager, Chrissa, is very attentive, and any issues are dealt with swiftly and efficiently. Last but not least, the Manager, Christos must be thanked for making our stay most enjoyable, and the lovely gestures made by him, to us and our two friends, Tracy and Graham, on the occasion of my wife's and Graham's birthday, and their Wedding Anniversary. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. If you want a restful, relaxing holiday in a fantastic setting, with staff who are friendly, efficient and always helpful, then the Atlantica Imperial Resort is for you.
