“hotel fulfilled our expectations and provided us the comfort we needed”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 September 2010

this hotel is excellent for families with kids of all ages since it is located by the see, in a beautifull green garden with big playground, and animation activities during the whole day and within few minutes walking into the little town full of restaurants and shops. The rooms are very spacy, clean and comfortable. The staff is very pleasant trying to suit your needs. The beach is wide, clean, mostly sandy with some round stones in the water. The shoes for swimming would be a good tip to take with:)The food consisted mostly of rich variety of fresh salads, pastas, and selection of different meats changing each day. There was a food corner for kids offering pizza, chicken nugets and french fries. The inclusive program covered mostly everything. To conclude, the hotel in european rating was more 3stars plus, but we felt very comfortable and had great time. The atmosphere and environment fulfilled our expectations:)we had amazing vacation!!!!

We stayed here for one week in June and enjoyed the greek night the most with authentic diskes and live shows / dancing. The hotel is definetly geared up for the germans, but has the staff to deal with everyone.

Its very close to the bars without being on top of them. The pool is clean, but can get very loud during the day (music / water sports). The beach is connected to the hotel and was clean and quite with a large garden for sun bathing (loungers provided for free). The rooms could definetly do with a make over, but we slept well. This is definetly a 3 star and needs updating. We ended paying a little extra for a see view, the left hand side of the hotel is better. Good for lindos, which is must see, but it will take a good half an hour by car. Don't miss old Rhodes town either (see photos).

  • Liked — Authentic greek hotel without trying to hard to please
  • Disliked — Standard of rooms was low

For 7 nights i stayed at the Irene Palace, on the Island of Rhodes, Greece. As a single traveller, I was made to feel very welcome & was really impressed by the quality of service, and facilities. Plenty of German tourists flock to this particular hotel, so the mish-mash of culture was fantastic.

The hotel has a gym, a couple of pools, a walk to the beach, to the shops & bars/clubs and to the bus-stop. The bus ride into the main town of Rhodes takes around 20 mins (in 2003 it cost 2,50EUR each way). My hotel room had a view overlooking the pool, was cleaned every morning by 11am, had plenty of space, a tv, large bathroom, clean white bathrobes and always fresh towels. A decent sized fridge was also handy to store my own goodies.

My package included buffet breakfast and dinner. I'm not one to recommend bufett style foods, however, the quality and variety of foods was really fantastic. Delicious greek yoghurt, freshly made omlettes, fruit, a large selection of breads, coffee would greet me every morning at breakfast.

Kolimbia is a very cute town, although, takes a couple of hours to explore the township. Perfect if you want a quiet place to stay, to use as a base.

You must see the valley of the butterflies - Peteloudes. It's located in the centre of Rhodes Island. The bus ride there is really scenic. Exploring the old hora is a must.
