“Not good value for the money we paid”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 October 2010

Staff ok room ok but no hot water for three mornings. Towels could have been cleaner and softer like drying yourself with a loofer. Food was of very poor choice and just warm not hot. No entertainment when stated that there would be two nights at least, drinks well, beer was probably the only drink that was satisfactory. spirits were of very low alcahol taste. Air conditioning if wanted was 7 euros a night, no hair dryer when stated there would be. Kept our rooms until leaving and we were having to pay upto 40 euros but we insisted not to pay as compensation for the 3 mornings we had no hot water. Would rate 2 star only Please take plenty of mosquito spray and cream and antihistamen tablets. Ian - Southampton

This hotel was fairly quiet (what we wanted) the hotel rooms and public areas were spotlessly clean. The room was large and comfortable the bed was quite hard but suited us. We did pay 7euros per night for air conditioning which was adequate. The second pool was quiet and sunbeds were always available. I have to admit that we got this holiday as a cheap break or as cheap as you can get during school holidays. We usually do 4 star so we were realistic with our move down a grade and had not got massive.expectations regarding the facilities.

However I have to disagree whole heartedly with the previous comments on the food, it was really awful all the supposedly hot food was luke warm and in our minds with very little choice. We both regard ourselves as having realistic standards and this hotel left a lot to be disired with regard to their food. After the heavy rain the breakfast and lunch eating area was flooded and the smell around this area was awful (I don't know if it was through the drains being overloaded or to do with food) saying nothing about the stuff they were sweeping away that had emerged from under the preperation areas in the back of this area.

We had already started to eat out in the evenings but after the rain we just bit the bullet and ate out at a couple of local eateries for all meals which were very good serving good hot flavoursome meals. After all we had paid for AI but ended up doing self catering. We had no problems with the cold drinks.

The bus pulls up just around the corner from the hotel which is 3 euros to Rhodes town, about 1hour, the bus tends to get full at peak times. The hotel is located in a central area within a few yards of busy bars and shops. We never heard any noise once the doors and window were closed.

We travelled with an 8 yr and a 10yr old ,to Memphis beach. The hotel was spotless, food great quality and lots of variation. Rooms were fairyly good size compared to previous rooms. There is entertainment twice a week - but it was prettty rubbish. There are 2 full size pools and one small pool. Table tennis and pool for the kids - bit tatty for adults. Very helpful reception staff. There is a beach with pebbles 5 mins walk but 10 mins walk away there is a sandy beach. Jet skis, boats and banana boats for hire. A selection of bars with live singers and karaoke next to hotel. All bars close at midnight.

We are from Slovakia and picked this hotel based on reviews on the internet as a last minute offer. We had been to Crete and Korfu before - this hotel was far the best. It was pleasant for us and the only drawback in our view was the aircondition which was functioning only when one was in the room. Apart from that, our stay was great. Food was lovely and there was a good choice of it. Rooms were not so huge but clean and tidied each day. A few mosquitoes each night and sometimes small groups of hotel guests returning noisily from a night trip to the bars of Kolymbia ... both was bearable. We came mostly to bathe in the sea and it was amazing - nice pleasant clear water, small fish around, sand and pebbles beach - very nice.

if you want a lovely relaxing holiday, in a fabulously clean and friendly hotel, then my advice is to try the Memphis beach. The food is very good, different choices every day, and although it is served outside in the day, i never ever saw one fly, and believe me i was looking, as they kept the servery so spotlessly clean. The all inclusive option was great, drinks were served quickly and there were plenty of them, especially for thechildren, whose drinks were in dispensers, so they could help themselves. the grounds and gardens were immaculate, and the beach 5 mins from the hotel. We loved it and would certainly return to this hotel again.

most probabley the cleanest hotel i have stayed in. The food was ok but not a big selection. Evening meal was 7pm-9pm if you got there after 8.30 there wasn't much left. Also there was no food for the kids(except cereal at breakfast). The All Inclusive package was a waste of time i think they only served alcohol free drinks (never got merry once) ended up buying a bottle of vodka at the local store and drinking that. They also charge you 7 euros a day for the air con. On a plus the hotel is in the town centre oh and we only had two nights of entertainment out of the 7 and again nothing for the kids to do and only one pool was in use. would not go back again.

Hotel was clean, staff where pleasent but not over friendly. Food was average but sometimes we ate out because it didn't look that nice.
Mozzies everywhere and the odd cockroach in the room but what do people expect, its a hot country.
Big objections to us where was hotel was to boring, no life, no entertainment at night.
Way to many Germans and Russians, and the busiest bar there was 30 foot from our door and there was loud music till gone 3.00 in the morning! So no sleep till late.
As for Kolymbia be warned there isn't much to do there and the beaches are mainly pebbles, not good on your feet.
