We were moved here after our original hotel was full for 2 nights, and I wish they had been full for all 7!

The hotel is fantastic, 5 swimming pools, the main one was a little loud for my taste, but just walk to another one - Happy days.

Staff are friendly, happy to help and nothing is too much trouble.

Rooms are nice, my tip would be if its just the 2 people then close the separation doors to get the air con working quicker, also, very naughty but hey ho if you twist the key and the magnet fob they will separate meaning you can leave the air con on while you’re at the pool and have a nice cool room to go back to. However if the maids catch you, you WILL get a bollocking!

Food – cant fault it.

All in all a very nice hotel!

We were there with 2 boys and we were really satisfied. Hotel resort contains everything we needed.
food was perfect (I thickened 3kg :) good selection of foods, salads, fruits, desserts.... Staff in the dining room and bars were mostly Czech students, which was nice for us :)
Pools and pool were clean and permanently cleaned. On the main pool you should wake up early and book beds, at about 8 there is not free place. I missed pool for fitness swimming.
Beach is small, short way from the hotel (about 3 min). The beach is sandy and gravel, in the sea is a lot of large boulders. On the right side there is small sandy beach with sandy sea bottom. This beach belongs to another hotel but everybody can go there. When you want to visit bigger sandy beach, you must go to the other side of Kolymbia.

I loved this hotel and would definitely recommend! After booking to stay at the loutanis hotel around the corner and arriving to a hell hole me and my boyfriend decided to walk to mikri poli and ask if we could move there even though we haven't booked. The staff were extremely helpful and let us look around the hotel, view what would be our room and informed us on the hotels information. At no point were we pressured to pay upfront and were made to feel very welcome. The room we were given had a view of 3 pools and the mountains, it was stunning especially considering we had just walked in, we would've been grateful for anything nevermind a room with such great standards. It was immaculate and cleaned everyday we were there. The food was well cooked but not too English, more European. There is pasta and bolognaise sauce everyday but everything else changes every day. There is also a section where you can have good cooked Infront of you.

The animation team were friendly and provided good entertainment. Politri was especially helpful.

The hotel is idealic for families, only a handful of couples our age (early 20s) and not many English but the staff have really good English so you don't feel excluded.

There is a private beach for the hotel around 100m away and a small walk to the local shopping area where there are restaurants, bars and shops.

There aren't many excursions at this part of rhodes, however we dd the boat trip to lindos which lasted all day and was perfect. The driver was friendly and has good English, we visited about 5 places on the boat then we stopped in lindos for 2 and a half hours. On the way back there was free wine with 2 opportunities to jump in the sea.

This holiday was absolutely perfect for us thanks to mikri poli! We definitely wouldnt have enjoyed the holiday if we had stayed at loutanis. We can't thank them enough for their hospitality

We have just got back from our fantastic holiday in Mikri Poli Rhodes. It was our second Mikri Poli holiday however last time we were in Kos(which was equally as good).
Fantastic value for money especially as we didnt realise the complex had a waterpark! It opened on our second week which was brilliant for the children(8&11)
The waterpark was free for the first two days because it had just opened but after it cost 10 euros for an adult and 5 for a child. A cheaper and great alternative to the waterpark in Falaraki!
There was 1 main pool which was busy as all the animation activities were going on there. If you wanted peace and quiet there were calmer pools too(make sure you get your towels out before the Germans!!! Ha ha!!)
There was also a seperate kids' pool for smaller children. This pool was very shallow and had a couple of slides for younger visitors.
The beach was quite rocky and it had a help yourself beach bar where you could get water or beer.
The food was exellent with lots of choice and a mini food counter for younger kids. Loads of salad and fresh bread. Meat and fish cooked fresh everyday.
All day the pool bar was open too which served pizza, sandwiches, chips, spaghetti and there was always make-your-own sandwiches too. Here was great if you didnt fancy going up to the restraunt because you were not allowed to wear swimwear.
The accomidation was clean and rooms were cleaned very well by the staff. Very impressed.
In the evenings there was always a mini disco which was hosted by the animation team in the amphitheatre at 8:30. And then at 9:00 there was always entertainment and sometimes a greek night with proffessional greek dancers. Animation team were very friendy and funny - especially Luka!!!
We recommend the boat trip to Lindos but avoid the donkey ride as it is very expensive and rushed by locals. Rhodes town is worth a visit. There are many other day trips to do as well.
Only downside air-con was not included. Until late June it cost six euros per day.
Overall we had a fantastic holiday and we recommend it to families who want value for money and a relaxing holiday on the Greek island of Rhodes!!!

Good clean hotel offering a varied selection of food and lots of fun for all the family. Reception staff very helpful as were all the staff. We went as a couple but would like to go back and take the grand kids in the near future.

Room Tip: All the rooms were of a good standard but as you would expect in a large complex some provided bett...

We have just come back from a week away here. We had a lovely time, the weather was glorious and we felt relaxed and happy. We have 2 children aged 8 and 6. The hotel staff were outstanding, very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much to sort out. We personally loved the food-lots of salads and fresh fish and a wide variety of grilled meat and very tasty vegetarian options. It was always cooked to perfection. The bbq was delicious...if like me you like tea in the morning bring your own bags as they were very strange tasting, weak and undrinkable. There are many pools and children are well catered for here with plenty of water fun!The rooms are fine and extremely clean. Our kids liked the animation team and they went to the kids club occasionally (their choice) and really liked it. The entertainment was a bit cringy at night but again, the children loved it. There must be a culture clash with the animation team's comedy and English people as I would look around and many, many other nationalities were laughing their heads off and we were sitting there thinking the sketches were completely unfunny and a bit silly! However, there were a number of points which I think are important to point out. The holiday was supposed to be all inclusive but there were a number of things which weren't included in this. If you want some air conditioning in the room, that was an extra cost (it was extremely hot at night) towels, freshly squeezed orange juice at breakfast time, the bbq night, espresso coffee at breakfast are all extra. The water park had just opened the day we left and it is not large, like a pool with slides (over 8s only) a lazy river with rubber rings and dinghies and that costs 10 euros per person each day. I can imagine that could cause a bit of stress if children want to go each day and parents are trying to keep extra costs down... The beer is delicious, I normally drink white wine but it was almost undrinkable (although we did get used to it!) I think the extras which you have to pay for stop this hotel being a five star.

Just spent 10 days at the Mikri Poli Family Resort, Kolimbea.
Lots of good and bad points to this hotel, so here goes...

There are 5 fantastic pools all with plenty of sun beds around plus there is a waterpark within the hotel complex. There are 4 bars (inc 1 on the beach) served limited drinks) and 2 restaurants. The Laurel restaurant is very much like the usual all-inclusive buffet style. Food was fine, plenty of choice and always hot. Lots of salads & veggie options too. Little kids section too which was great. The Pool bar restaurant is only open 3 nights a week and you must book in advance at reception to dine in there onTues, Thurs or Sat - first time is free but thereafter you have to pay 2 euros pp.. This is also self service but is greek BBQ themed and the food is very good. Snacks were served daily from the Pool bar restaurant, the usual pizza, chips, salads, spaghetti etc all ok if you didn't want to venture up to the restaurant (as no costumes allowed in there).

The complex itself is excellent and very well looked after. The main pool area is where all the activity is,as it's quite close to the reception, restaurant, bar & entertainment amphitheatre. If you have someone who is not so good at walking, then request a room in either starfish or octopus or at least near the main pool. There are various types of rooms, some with a seperate bedroom, some with a sliding doors. We booked the sliding door room and actually got a 1 bed apartment in Starfish (room 212) which had a huge balcony getting the sun all day, facing the sea and the mountains (we had a beautiful view). The rooms have a kettle, fridge & hairdryer. The air conditioning is 6 euros per day but it is necessary (especially at night) so worth the money.

The animation team work tirelessly to keep everyone entertained with various sporty events both in and out of the pool. Well done to Luka, Manou, Anna & the team for keeping us entertained. The kids are really the ones that are entertained the most, culminating in the usual kids disco from 8.30pm every night. After this, there is the usual fun and games on stage or a professional show with traditional Greek dancers in the amphitheatre.

What was wrong with the hotel? Well nothing really, it simply just lacked English holiday makers which was such a shame as it was ideal for a nice relaxing getaway. We had our 13 year old son with us who was a little lonely but he still enjoyed himself immensely. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk to the nearest shops, bars and restaurants and 2 minutes from the beach (extremely rocky) so not great for those looking for a beachy holiday.

For what we paid, it was a bargain so defintely worth it. Not many English there but all in all, we had a great time.

Room Tip: If you want to be near to everything then ask for rooms in Starfish or Octopus (101-124 ground floor...
