My fiance and I stayed here in July, and were totally blown away. Rather than staying in Positano (which don't get me wrong is stunning) which is a bit of a pain to get to with the windy roads are bad drivers, Vietri sul Mare is the first town off the autostrade making it easy to get to. Our room (level 3) had uninterrupted ocean views which was just sensational! Amazing breakfast! Brilliant pool! Stunning facilities!
The other part which we loved is that the hotel had a free shuttle bus into town. We had some amazing food there and it was also the cheapest that we had within Italy. Seafood platters for 10 euro is unheard of!

Don't hesitate. Just book here and request a room on Level 3.

We had an overall great stay at the Raito Hotel. Veitre is a great city, and the hotel gives free shuttle transport between the hotel and the city. The hotel is amazing, the spa is nice, the staff is friendly (but not very good in english) and the rooms are nice and clean.

We did not like the food there very much (breakfast or dinner), but it worked.

The wifi is really bad tho, almost a joke.

But all in all, a very nice place to live.

Room Tip: Get rooms with sea-view.

Stayed here for a long weekend at end of July. Very well presented hotel with beautifully landscaped gardens overlooking the sea from a height and a terrific pool area with plenty of room for everyone so it never felt crowded. Professional, courteous and welcoming staff. Near a lovely village with some good restaurants. Would recommend a day trip by speedboat to a secluded beach to enjoy some sea swimming - the hotel can arrange.

I was very happy indeed with my recent stay here (July 2014). My room was lovely and clean, with a balcony and a beautiful sea view. I was also pleased to note that there were only 50 rooms, and there was never a feeling of being overcrowded. Having previously read reviews on here, I was aware that the hotel was some distance from the nearest small town, Vietri Sul Mare. The hotel laid on a free shuttle but I found Vietri to be within walking distance - less than 2km - and walked there and back most days. If you love ceramics then you'll probably like Vietri! Otherwise, other small towns are a short bus ride away, with Ravello, Positano, Sorrenti and Amalfi further afield. In terms of food, breakfast was what I would expect, with plenty of options available. I usually like to try local restaurants but the food at the hotel's bar and grill was so good that I ate lunch there every day. The hotel staff were very helpful. I would be happy to recommend this hotel to friends and family.

So for out first vacation to Europe we chose a tour through Marriott Vacation Club. We were not disappointed with our trip to Rome and the Amalfi Coast. We stayed here 5 nights. Our room in the "add on building" was clean and very modern. We had a lovely view although not straight on to the sea. The hotel is small, 80 rooms?, and is located up the coast a bit from Vietri Sul Mare proper. The neat thing is that this town is so much less touristy than other cities on the coast! We had a fun adventure one evening in town, trying out our terrible few words of Italian! But very successful in getting fed and experiencing some of the local culture. And yes we used the hotel shuttle- the driver had his family aboard on one leg of our trip! As Americans sometimes we are so spoiled in having what we want so easy to obtain. It's a good thing to experience the life of the locals! The hotel was lovely, the food wonderful. Great views from the common areas! Unfortunately it was chilly and rainy most of our trip but we weren't in the hotel for that much daytime. We'd stay there again!
