“Amazing Hotel”
Reviewed 19 August 2014

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for 4 days in May 2014 during our honeymoon trip. We enjoyed every second of this stay at that hotel. Although, it is a bit hard to find it but once ur in Atrani, you can ask anyone and you won't get lost. There'S about 100 steps to climb to arrive at te hotel but all hotels in Amalfi are like that. We had the Julia Roberts room, it hasn't the best view but i liked it very much. The hotel is in a quiet area, all you can hear is the sound of the churches bell. It is very close to Amalfi, around 10 min walking distance. From there, you can take the bus and visit the island, like going to Positano, Ravella or Salerno. The breakfast at the hotel was AMAZING. The food is soooooo fresh, they bake it directly in the morning, dont miss their cakes and the donuts. Atrani has few shops and restaurants which makes it very cozy. I wouldn't hesitate one second to go back to this hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms are named after actors and actress... we were in Julia Robert's room, it was very conveni...

Just spent a really wonderful week with my partner at the extraordinary Palazzo Ferraioli hotel. It almost seems to defy gravity tucked away high above the quaint and picturesque town of Atrani. There are quite a few steps up to the entrance which can leave you short of breath if you're unfit but that is immediately superseded by the views which are even more breathtaking!

The service was umpeccable from the start - after we requested a nice room via email, Angela kindly arranged (in her opinion) the hotel's best room for us - room 301. We had read about this room and its two balconies, mindblowing views, stylish retro decor and jacuzzi and we were certainly not disappointed! Possibly the best hotel room we've ever stayed in. Great firm mattress, good air conditioning, superb shower and cool furnishings but best of all those views over Atrani which almost take a while to process, as you look out from one of the balconies.

All the staff at this hotel are nothing short of charming and courteous and made every effort to ensure we felt welcome and comfortable. From the two personable chaps in the dining room serving an excellent breakfast selection, to smiling and efficient Antonella and Angela on reception and Giovanna who served us cocktails almost every night on the (criminally overlooked) mindblowing rooftop-bar-terrace they call the the 'Solarium'.

With its illuminated furniture and hands down the absolute best views of Atrani, it was a mystery to us why this rooftop was not more popular...perhaps the hotel should consider a happy hour or more advertising to lure people up there? It outshines every other bar in Atrani and should be full of people, but more often than not we found ourselves to be the only punters up there. As the sun went down it stayed lovely and warm as we sipped our pre-dinner drinks. Definitely the hotel's best feature.

Atrani itself is small, pretty and charming little coastal town with a nice (if busy) beach, several good bars and restaurants and only a ten minute walk from the bigger and more touristic Amalfi. A must visit place with a plethora of restaurants, our favourite being the Marina Grande with its stunning food service and setting (another five star place).

In summary, if you are planning a trip to the gorgeous Amalfi Coast and are looking for somewhere special to stay, don't hesitate in booking this magnificent hotel. It is unique and we loved it. It was so hard to leave. Thanks to all the lovely staff who truly deserve of all these stars.

Room Tip: Room 301 is the best room!

This is a gorgeous hotel in the little bay of Atrani, just around the corner and within easy distance walk from Amalfi. This bay can be tricky to get to/find - as there are a few curving small streets to reach it. There is no parking for this hotel, you can have someone collect the car and park it for 25 euros a night or park up on the main road for 20 euro a day. We opted for the safer garage.
It s a bit of a walk up to the hotel itself - lotsss of stairs that seem to grow in amount each day - this is something to consider with luggage! i had quite a heavy 20kg bag and my bf had 15kg worth. A valet will help to carry them up (expect to carry one bag yourself though) and be prepared to tip!
The room was small but lovely. The view and balcony were fantastic and we had a jaccuzi bath! it was fantastic! A glass of prosecco in a hot tub bath is just what every girl needs.
There is a spa at the hotel but to be honest, there was so much to do outdoors that we didnt bother. The solarium on the room was great to have a drink and enjoy the view. It really could have done with a pool on the roof though! i felt it was the one thing the hotel was missing.
Breakfast was great as always - cakes, breads, cheese, cereals etc.
Great place to get a boat to positano and sorrento etc.
Highly recommend the restaurants in Atrani - A'parranza - an AMAZING fish restaurant just around the corner. and restaurant savo, just below the hotel. simple italian food - very delicious.

My husband and I stayed here in late August and it was by far the best vacation we have ever been on.... and we are world travelers. We took a car transfer from the airport in Naples. It was a nice drive though I got a little woozy going up and then down the mountains. When we arrived to the hotel a bellman quickly catered to our luggage. We walked up a cute, white staircase to find out hotel hidden in the mountains. I was giddy with enchantment! At the desk, we asked if there was a hotel room available with a water view.... the staff accommodated our request and put us in Greta's room. Talk about breathtaking views every morning! We felt so incredibly lucky to be there in Atrani enjoying such an amazing vacation. It sent us home appreciating life and all that it has to offer. I really can't say enough about this hotel and its staff. We were close enough to shopping, entertainment and the ferry yet far enough away to enjoy the quiet, intimate vacation we dreamed of. This hotel is truly a gem!

We stayed here for three days during a visit to the Amalfi coast. The hotel is really something special. We had the diva panorama-nicole room witch is unik and very nice. A stunning sea view and cool interior. The staff was more than helpful. Their roof terrace offers one of the best views in town. The hotel had arranged with car parking and pick up( it is very few parking lots in Atrani).

New, modern hotel with style and some elegance. Got a stylish and comfortable room with jacuzzi, very efficient aircon and excellent views to town centre and the sea. Very small bathroom, surprisingly with no ventilation. Neither room or bathroom are functional, only very little storage place and no hooks at all. Seems design has been prioritised above functionality.

Huge roof terrace with terrific views. Breakfast buffet selection not impressive but OK compared to the usually very simple Italian standard. Breakfast service friendly but not very efficient. The current supply, filling empty plates etc, does not happen regularly so make sure to be early to get a proper choice. Friendly front desk. At check-out the very helpful front desk lady even sold us her personal bus tickets when we realised that the Tabacchi at the piazza had sold out.

Location is excellent in the old town above a beautiful small piazza with local atmosphere, very lively in the evening and several good restaurants with good value for money. Nice, small beach, ideal for swimming. Atrani is a 10 min walk from the busy Amalfi town centre through a comfortable pedestrian tunnel. Go for Atrani and skip Amalfi and Positano if you prefer quiet, authentic Italian atmosphere without the crowds.
