Beautiful hotel by the water located between Amalfi and Positano. The rooms are relatively simple, but clean with good WiFi and, most importantly, a view that is to die for from the balcony. There is also a beach down by the water that is exclusive to hotel guest and which has a resident life guard. The breakfast is simply wonderful and perhaps the only area for improvement is that the dinner could be of higher quality. The food is ok, but the prices would indicate that it should be even better. But all in all - highly recommended.

We have just returned from a most fabulous holiday in Almafi . Hotel La Conca was very good . The staff were all excellent especially the receptionist and the lovely waiters . In particular the lovely dark curly haired girl at breakfast always smiling and nothing too much trouble for her . The views from restaurant were breath taking ,but we particularly loved the view from our room . The room itself was delightful and lovely to sit out on our own balcony . There is even a spa bath . They provide all shampoos , soap , shower jel only hotel I’ve been to recently that also supplies sewing kit , razor , cotton buds
It is a little way out so if it’s night life you want then it’s not for you but lovely if you are looking for a nice relaxing holiday . It is a bit of a walk to the beach ( tho no sand ) but well worth it . They have a little place that has sun beds ,bar etc and you can swim in the sea which was a real treat . Not good for people who can’t walk far tho as it’s a bit steep but worth it .
We went to Almafi and Positano and it’s one of our favourite places now . We travelled by buses and boats all very good prices . We would definitely recommend this family run hotel for a relaxing holiday or romantic getaway

We arrived at the hotel much later than anticipated, well after midnight and were delighted to find that the staff had waited up to welcome us and show us our room.
Cold food had also been left there. This excellent level of service was consistent throughout our stay, from reception to the restaurant and is a strong positive for the hotel.
We were travelling on a half board arrangement and on the first night were worried that the specific menu might provide too limited a choice. However when we asked, we were told that we could choose from the a la carte menu if desired and pay extra. In actual fact the half board menu changed each night and was excellent for the rest of our stay and was complemented by a strong choice of wines. The lemon flavoured olive oil is fantastic and can be bought in the hotel shop.
We had a room with a breathtaking view of the coast and a huge private balcony surrounded by jasmine which had space for a small table, chairs and a lounge bed. It was fabulous and would generate a 5 star rating on its own! The rest of the room was also good with a comfortable bed, spa bath and controllable air conditioning.
The restaurant has a stunning view over the coast and there is a roof top terrace. Drinks can be ordered from the small cafe which is part of the hotels ceramics shop. These feature throughout the hotel and we thought gave it a fantastic quirky ambience!
So, any negatives? The beach area hadn't opened when we went in the third week of May (although there is a boat option to another area). It seemed a long way down (or more importantly back up!).There is no pool and there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room but there is a mini bar.
The one thing that did surprise us was the challenge of moving around the coast. The hotel will book you places on a boat from the grotto next door to Amalfi which costs 5 Euros and takes about 20 minutes. Times are a little approximate but the last one returns at 3.20pm. From Amalfi you can travel by ferry elsewhere but the 3.20pm return time limits you. The alternative is to travel by bus and there is a regular bus service that stops outside the hotel. This is cheap but an experience! Even in May, some buses were full and couldn't pick up passengers and the journeys are constantly interrupted by vehicles unable to get past each other on the many hairpin bends! Even Conca dei Marini is a 30 minute walk for what appears on the map to be a short distance. Taxis are expensive but many of the restaurants will pick you up and drop you back within reasonable distances.
The hotel might appear a bit more isolated than some others because it isn't in a town/village but actually it as well connected as anywhere other than Amalfi.
We'd highly recommend a trip to Ravello and the astonishing gardens at the Villa Cimbrone and Positano. Praiano is also very pretty and much quieter. If visiting Amalfi, choose a day the cruise ships aren't visiting.
In summary, we had a wonderful stay in a wonderful hotel and would highly recommend it.

This small hotel & restaurant are perched on a cliff. Our room had spectacular views, particular care had been made to the décor. The staff from management to service were very polite and friendly. Location on a cliff means the access to the levels of garden and a swimming -sunbathing area were quite steep. No beach area. We ate in the restaurant where the staff were delightful. Sal , Rafaelle and Marianna were especially kind. No English breakfast here but the set evening menu for £25 euros was prefecto. You could choose also from a more extensive menu. Local wine and vegetables. Full bar areas were not open yet so socialising was difficult would have liked the chance to talk to other guests. Other smaller villages had restaurants but advise a taxi journey. We pre-arranged for a taxi for our return journey to Naples airport but did try to use the local bus which should stop outside but during busy times the driver drove past with a full passenger load. Waiting in the heat for an hour was not much fun on a very busy corner of the coastline where two shops have coach visitors. We got into Amalfi finally and did a bus tour of Ravello. A grotto boat trip is just a few steps from the hotel door. Wonderful experience but keep in mind the location makes it more difficult to get around- don't drive- evidence of lots of prangs to hire cars. We had an amazing few days here!

We stayed at La Conca Azzura for 3 days in the end of May. The hotel is built into a cliff approx 200 feet above sea level, so you need to go down from the road level (ground floor) to -1 for the reception and further down to the rooms. Our junior suite had a terrace approx 15x15 feet with an incredible sea view. All terraces are separated by ivy (natural and artificial) for privacy, so you can't see your neighbors. The room was large, sparkling clean and had a brand new spa-grade body shower. The bed was a little hard, to be fair.
While all staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, I'd like to specifically recognize Stefania and Carmen for excellent customer service that exceeded our expectations.
The restaurant is located on an open terrace right above the water - with same breathtaking views, needless to say. We had dinner there twice, it was good. While breakfast is somewhat limited, it offers enough for any taste.
The hotel has a private path to their own small beach (you have to walk down about 200 feet vertically), which was closed when we stayed at the hotel (they reopened it on our last day). To compensate, hotel provided free boat transportation to a nearby Conca dei Marini beach, which was wonderful. You easily get to the boat by taking an elevator to Grotto Smeraldo located on the hotel parking lot, so walking down (and more importantly, up) was not required. Which brings me to another point, this is one of the best places to stay on the Amalfi Coast if you have a car. The parking lot is flat, spacious and on the main road level, which is extremely uncommon for the Amalfi Coast. All in all, we spent 3 wonderful days there, would go back any time and recommend this place to friends and family.
