“Beautiful holiday home”
Reviewed 8 November 2015 for a stay in October 2015

A nice summer cottage high about the Amalfi coast. From the patio and the balcony a breathtaking view of the sea.
Comfortably and well equipped. Friendly and helpful renters.
Highly recommendable.

“Fantastic time!”
Reviewed 20 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Our time with Maria and Marchello was fantastic! The apartment was clean and comfortable with everything working well, and whenever something broke (electricity, wifi because of a storm), they were very quick to repair. They provided us with some great inside information that was really helpful. The village has all the shops and restaurants you need with the local cheese meats and pastas! They connected us to a boat trip from Priano to Capri, which was our highlight. It cost ca 300 Euro for our family of five and it was well worth it!!! I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this apartment.

“Fantastic views”
Reviewed 10 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Il Dolce Tramanto was difficult to find. Even with Google maps and an Italian road map SD chip for our Garmin we could only get close. I strongly advise you have Marcello and Maria's phone number so if need they can come find you. Once we arrived it was wonderful. Marcello and Maria are very kind hosts and will do their best to help you enjoy your stay at Il Dolce Tramanto

“Wonderful Location, Fantastic Views and great hosts”
Reviewed 26 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

My family and I spent 5 days at Il Dolce Tramonto. The property has beautiful views of the Amalfi coast. Although we had a rental car during our stay we chose to park the car in Agerola, (the next town up the hill), and use the bus service to Amalfi and the surrounding towns such as Ravello, Minori and Positano. This took the stress out of navigating the winding Strada Statale Amalfitana, (coast road), and saved money as the parking charges in some of the nearby tourist spots were extremely expensive, (Ravello and Positano €5 per hour).
Marcello and Maria were fantastic hosts giving great advice on the attractions; how best to reach them and events happening in the locality during the period our stay.
The property is a very difficult to find; however, Maria met us in Agerola and we followed her to the property, (sat nav was useless finding the house). The facilities were great, 2 large bedroom and a well equipped kitchen and dining area.
Would I stay at Il Dolce Tramonto again? Yes!

“Dreamy views!”
Reviewed 5 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

I stayed at Il Dolce Tramonto for five days in June 2015 with my sister and my boys (ages 11 and 13). The views from the apartment were absolutely spectacular! Marcello and Maria were kind, warm and accommodating as we arrived with my sister, an unexpected guest who came at the last minute. The town of Bomerano, Furore is not yet like its touristy neighbors Amalfi or Positano and we appreciated the true glimpse into the lives of the Italian families on the coast. Our favorite two excursions were walks to the Sentiero Degli Dei (Path of the Gods) and the Furore Fjord from Bomerano. The small beach at the fjord was our favorite beach for swimming -it was beautiful, less crowded and free. The endless steps and stairs everywhere on the Amalfi Coast are hard on the knees but well worth the effort for the spectacular views. We failed to realize that there is an app that can be downloaded with trail information for the various walking trails (see the main trail map in the piazza in Bomerano) until after we completed the trails. Marcello was quite helpful upon our arrival sharing maps and excursion ideas. He also shared a bottle of red wine handmade by his father that was quite good! Maria always greeted us with a warm smile. They both seem quite proud of the gem they've created. The excellent prices of Il Dolce Tramonto are sure to change as the area develops and tourism increases. I feel lucky to have experienced it now and before this happens! I do recommend using Google Maps to navigate your way as it would be difficult to find without it! Thank you Marcello and Maria.

“The perfect place for a perfect holiday!”

Three years ago we first stayed in the top apartment for two glorious weeks and had such a wonderful stay, we always vowed to return. Our dream came true this year and we came over and stayed for three weeks! We had an even better time, relaxing from the moment we arrived. Last time, we visited the obvious sites; Pompeii, Herculaneum, Mt Versuvius etc. This time, we were happy to just chill in the apartment, on the balcony or terrace taking in the outstanding views and natural sounds, or walk the wonderful walks (Path of the Gods and many more equally beautiful walks) - all within walking distance and checking out the nearby town of Agerola/Bomerano for everything you would need for an exquisite meal to make ourselves in the apartment, or, more often than not, we would walk to the above and enjoy a relatively cheap meal out, in the numerous restaurants, meeting the always friendly locals; many of whom we can't wait to return again some day to see again.
This is a heavenly spot, so beautiful, tranquil and perfect in every way. Maria and Marcello, our hosts, are wonderful people who genuinely care that you get the best out of your holiday. They are at hand if you need them, but not at all intrusive.
We will come again to this perfect place, with all of the ingredients required for a perfect holiday!

“Stunning Views in a Calm Setting”

The views are exactly as you see in the photos: Simply stunning. We loved the village feel and the countryside around us. We visited Amalfi 30 minutes away as well as Positano and took the boat to Capri. Marcello and Maria were wonderful hosts. We were given a bottle of wine and their beautiful tomatoes. I have never eaten such tasty tomatoes! We stayed in the top apartment which was quite spacious, very clean with a good size bathroom and kitchen. Day or night would find us staring at the view.
The village of Bomerano had everything we needed. We loved all the fresh produce, olive oil, cheeses etc. The ham and prosciutto are amazing. It may be interesting to some visitors that the hiking trail called The Path of The Gods goes through Bomerano on the way to Positano. There are many reviews about this hike on TripAdvisor. It looks amazing.
We listened to Marcello and took the boat trip to Capri that he had particularly recommended and were not disappointed. It was the highlight of our trip. Maria gave us tips on where to park in Positano which really helped.
I would certainly recommend this beautiful spot.
