After reading reviews here, I was quite worried about our holiday here...but no need as was great! Hotel is in great location, with ferry/bus stops and tourist train stopping right outside the door, and atm at door of hotel. Amazing views, we had lake view with balcony, there were rooms below us with sun loungers and terrace too. Pool was in lovely setting, with sun loungers on terrace, and then when these were full there was more room on a terrace overlooking lake. There is a jacuzzi but we did not figure out how to turn it on until the last day! The food in hotel was lovely, breakfast continental with choice of cereals/breads/coffees, the hot food was not too my taste but sausages, rashers and scrambled eggs on offer every morn. The evening meal which we had included was fab, with something different everynight, and huge choice of salads and desserts. Usually three main courses and three starters choice. Could eat inside or outside, both with lovely views. Waiting staff very quick to clean away your plates, sometimes would still have last bite in mouth when plate taken! Also 4 or 5 restaurants close by, we ate in all, none disppointed. Our room was perfect for us, air con, and was very clean. Small shop next door to hotel, with souvenir shop and fab wine bar close to hotel. We did find the reception staff to be a bit rude at times, but overall it was not a big deal considering we were so pleased with the holiday, and maybe because there were alot of tourist groups staying at hotel and they constantly seemed extremely busy,! Having toursist groups also gave an advantage for us, as we were only there for a week and the we could sneak peaks at excursions and information on offer! Overall would highly reccommend this hotel, really enjoyed it here, one of most beautiful locations have ever visited! Id say July is good time to visit, we left in first week in August, and the day we left the town was extremely busy with Italians themselves, was quieter the first few days of holiday at emd of July!

After reading some reviews I wasn't expecting much, got a great deal from Ingams and thought you pay for what you get. We normally stay 5 star all inclusive but wanted to try somewhere different. On the approach to the hotel I thought oh my god what have we booked! Checked in and was dreading going to the room, but it was spotless, the bathrooms had been recently renewed and the room was great, stunning view over the lake so was really pleased. Got a half board with local drinks included, food was great, breakfast a bit basic but set you up for the day. We could also have apack lunch prepared each day but we didn't bother as we wanted to explore the Italian cuisine . Evening meal was great choice, chefs in particular were accommodating on very friendly. The bar staff were fab with my 18 year olds, with the exception of the older bald guy who I think was the bar manager, treated us like we were inferior as we had inclusive drinks so gave us the smallest glasses he could find and was very grumpy! But Manuel and Paulo were brilliant.Although this is only a 3 star it was very very good and the location is second to none. I would recomend this hotel as a good base to explore the area.

Having read other reviews once I had booked I had my doubts but these were very quickly dispelled. The hotel is ideally situated by the lake, bus stops and the landing stage for ferries to Bellagio, Varenna and other destinations. It is charming, bright, airy and the staff are all friendly. The views are stunning - try sitting in the jaccuzzi at the top of the garden and looking out over the rooftops to the mountains! There are several places to sit and enjoy the views or just relax and read. The air conditioning in the room was much appreciated and the food was fresh, tasty and plentiful. Just along the road from the hotel is Villa Carlotta which is well worth a visit for the beautiful gardens and the villa itself. While were there we attended an evening piano recital in the villa - an ideal end to our short break. Would certainly return!

Room Tip: The balconies at the front are bigger.

We went to Lake Como for a week from the 18th of July to the 25th 2012 with Inghams. Look on their website first when thinking of going to Italy the reps were first class and would do all they could to make your holiday a success. This was our first time in Italy and we were pleasantly surprised to find the hotel was so near to the ferry stop and local transport. Lake Como itself is a beautiful place with so many different villages etc., around the lake. We found the hotel room to be adequate for our needs, after all we didn't expect a penthouse and do not go on holiday to spend the whole time in the room. It was cleaned everyday and the bedding and towels changed on a daily basis. The food was good, variety is essential and we found this to be the case at the Bazzoni. We would certainly stay there again and look forward to returning in the near future.

Room Tip: Seaview essential with balcony

Hotel Bazzoni is an absolutely horrible hotel in an amazingly beautiful location. We have traveled all over the world and throughout Italy and have never been treated like we were at this hotel. We were given what they called a family room with 4 beds stacked against each other with no room between them. When we complained we were ignored until we called the travel site (at significant cost to us) used to book this hotel. After the travel site called we were given and additional double room which was bigger than the family room. Save your vacation and don’t book this horrible hotel as there are many other wonderful family run hotels in the lake areas where they know how to treat guests.

Reecntty returned from a week at Lake Como at the Hotel Bazzoni in Tremezzo.Located on the shore with stunning views of the lake. One the ferry pickup points is almost directly across the roadand gives access to anywhere on this hugh lake.A visit to the beautifil Village of Belliagio a 10 min ferry accross the lake is recommended. All in all I was pleased with the Bazzoni. The accommodation we paid exta for terrace lake view which had its own sun loungers an a view to die for. If not suggest a lake view balcony. It is a large hotel with a maze of corridor.with quite a number of rooms so you could find yourself round the back overlooking the garden or concrete wall. The food was fine and you will always find somehing that suits you. Breakfast was the usual range of cold meats cheeses and continental sausage bacon eggs This is italy not GB . Dinner was a good range of choices fish pork pasta and excellent salid choice. The villages along the coastline are very old and reflected in the condition of the buildings. Bazzoni we found may be a little dated but needs maintance in places but clean and tidy.Overal no complaints abount our stay PS The air conditioning didn't work in our room and others during our stay

Room Tip: Whilst a lake view room is worth the extra there one small drawback. There isn't a problm from no...

The hotel is in an excellent position - cross the road and you stand by Lake Como. It is very close to Ferry and Boat terminal. Also very close is the stop for the little 'Noddy Train' - which is great fun and which will take you to Lenno in one direction and Menaggio in the other. The public bus stop is very close too. Tickets for this can be purchased in the shop to the right as you leave the hotel. (Be warned the Lady who runs the shop appears to be very miserable - she made us feel very uncomfortable) There is an avenue of shops to the left upion leaving the hotel. There you can buy everything from Souvenirs, wine, fruit, clothese etc etc.
We found the Hotel itself to be very good indeed. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. WE asked for our air conditioning to be turned down (it was 24 degrees, too hot!) and this was done immediately. The rooms were kept spotlessly clean. The Food was very good indeed - buffet style for both breakfast and dinner. For the latter, the Pasta courses and main Course dishes were changed daily. It is possible to sit outside overlooking the lake - lovely!! (beware the ubiquitious sparrows though!!)
The Swimming pool and Sun Terrace are both in need of a little TLC. They are Quite adequate but do need a little attention.
My only reservation is to say - beware NOISE! The front of the hotel overlooks a busy road - AND the Ferry terminal. From a very early hour in the morning The Early Morning spends a considerable time revving up it's engines. (From approx 5.00a.m. to be precise) So - take ear plugs!! Otherwise, the Hotel is very good.

Room Tip: The rooms overlooking the lake are lovely - BUT noisy!!
