Tremezzo is one of the smaller resorts on Como, but has good ferry links, Villa Edy is in a quiet residential area about five minutes walk uphill from the edge of the lake, with views across the lake, and the surrounding mountains. It is family run, and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom was spotless. There is a large outdoor pool, and plenty of room to sit outside in the sun. Plenty of onsite parking. Only snacks served in evenings, most of restaurants a good 20 mins walk. A lovely, quiet, peaceful place to stay

Room Tip: Rooms 105/7/9/11 have balconies with good view over the lake

Wonderful stay at Villa Edy - Everyone was very helpful during the entire stay. The rooms with the balcony provide beautiful quiet views of the lake. Easy to walk to everything - dining options, ferries etc. In fact, after visiting many of the other more "touristy" towns I am glad we opted for Villa Edy. Make sure you ask the hosts for local dining options. we had several outstanding dinners that were within walking distance. Overall, can't wait to come back.

Room Tip: top floor balcony rooms are worth the price

This was my first stay in the Italian lakes, from arrival at Milan Malpenza airport I found eveyone very helpful from the guidance through to the Malpenza express shuttle bus to terminal 1, then a short train ride to Milan Central, with kind help at the fast ticket machine/validation for the journey to Como San Giovanni station. My stay at Hotel Villa Edy was unfortunately only one night as I am working on a local project, however I will hopefully be returning several times and will be booking my stay at Villa Edy. the views are simply breathtaking and very relaxing.
All the staff at the hotel were very friendly and will have no hesitation in re-booking for my return, indeed look forward to it very much.

Anyone who has stayed at Villa Edy or the locals will tell you it is the best place to stay on the lake. Federica, Roberto and Edy will do all to make your stay comfortable. I stayed at the Grand Hotel Cadenabia and Hotel Edy is much better

Room Tip: The fitness center is the Greenway

Great family hotel.

Excellent location above the lake, you can reach within 10 minutes on foot.
You have a bountiful view on the lake and mountains and more important - a quietness and a peace of a village. You can hear the cry of the Rooster in the morning, when you seat on your balcony and look on a sunrise.

Service is warm & friendly and breakfast on terrace is unforgettable.
There is very large private parking and all territory is closet at night (definitely, you have your own private entry key)

Ferry station is within 20 minutes walk. Ask for a timetable on reception.
And do not forget to ask a barmen for a good bottle of red wine in the evening :-)

Room Tip: A room with a balcony on a lake side is a best choice

Have said before how wonderful this hotel is and this time again was perfect, quiet and peaceful, rooms clean and spacious, Federica and her family so helpful ... plus they had a royal visitor staying while I was there, the granddaughter of the Queen no less!

We had a fantastic four day stay at this family owned and run hotel. We opted to stay in one of the pool side suites. Very spacious and great!

The kids loved being able to use the pool and really enjoyed the snacks which were available until 15:30 daily.

Worth noting that the hotel doesn't have a restaurant per se, although it does do snacks, but there are local eateries with reasonable walking distance.

The views of the lake are spectacular!
