Lovely visit, we didn't visit the house through lack of time, but gardens really nice and quite extensive.

We spent the day visiting gardens around Lake Como, but the grounds here were spectacular. The villa was very nice, though not very furnished. The grounds are extensive and you can spend quite a while wandering. On both sides of the house there were spectacular displays, I couldn't stop taking pictures. Bring water for your ramble, it can get quite hot in the afternoon.

This is well worth the visit. The history and design are truly amazing given the age.
It is easy to imagine some of the functions and soirees that were held in the past.
Magnificent grounds and views

You could spend all day here. Beautiful gardens which stretch for miles with splendid views over the lake and if the weather is poor then there is lots to see on every level of the stylish villa.

This Villa on the shore of lake Como is well worth a visit. The Villa has some wonderful art work and artefacts whilst the Gardens are quite stunning. My resident Garden Tragic recommends a visit in springtime as that's when the azaleas and rhododendrons would be at their very best. I of course picked to late in summer which resulted in my sacking as Tour Guide.
In any case a lovely spot to just stroll through the mature gardens.
Current entry is 9 Euro per person, there is a coffee/snack shop which seemed quite reasonable and clean bathroom facilities at several spots around the what I think is about 14 acres.
