I am writing this review looking over the lake to the lights of Bellagio. It is beautiful here. I will qualify this review by saying that we have the best room in the place. Definitely try and get a corner room with a balcony. We pulled the bench from the foot of our bed out on our private balcony so that we'd have a place to sit and enjoy the unobstucted view. It is a very tight fit but works for us.

The customer service has been great. We missed our flight to Milano due to a late connection so we could not arrive until the second night of our reservation. They did not charge us for the first night even though their cancelation policy said otherwise. We were so grateful.

Nice bathrooms with towel warmers but you are out of luck if you require a shower, at least in our room. The deep two person tub more than made up for it. We couldn't be happier. btw earplugs would be helpful if you are sensitive to road noise. Enjoy!

Super friendly staff. Great balcony room - we couldn't stop going out on it to see the stunning and magical views. Easy walk to the ferry (12 Euros each for an all day pass). Visited Bellaggio and Varenna. Highly recommend both. The ferry runs every half hour so it's simple to follow and shouldn't be missed. The whole hotel is beautiful - even the halls have hand painted floral designs, thick carpeting and shiny shoe polishers, The rooms are all super upgraded, very comfortable and quiet. Lots of built in closets, a safe and a refrigerator. The restaurant is absolutely lovely, with great lake views, terrific polished wait staff and wonderful food. The buffet breakfast included fresh hot bread and rolls, brie, salami choices, fresh fruit, home made jams, croissants and danishes, hard boiled eggs, pears and peaches in juice, and more. You will definitely be very impressed. We made little sandwiches for the road and they worked out well. The fresh coffee (or Capuccino) was good and served in nice china cups and saucers.

There is a small parking lot which worked out perfectly since it was off-season and not a problem getting spots. Even if you do not get a spot, there is plenty of parking close by, so it would not be a problem. The gas station across the street had a small grocery store inside where we purchased soda, water and snacks. This was a nice surprise as it is sometimes not easy to find these items on he road.

Make sure your camera battery is fully charged. This is a stunning area and you will be taking a lot of pictures. Be sure to visit the old church in Bellaggio - it's all the way to the left when you get off the ferry and up the road from the big hotel. It's from 1560 and has a great feel to it.

The manager opened up the buffet early just for us as we had an early flight. Now that's going above and beyond. I can't tell you how much we appreciated that.

It's a long way up the lake, but believe me, this hotel is worth the drive. Have a great time.

Room Tip: Get a balcony,

We were really looking forward to our stay at this hotel after looking at all of the great reviews on Trip Advisor, but unfortunately felt a bit let down when we arrived. Although the staff were fabulous, very friendly and welcoming and breakfast on the balcony overlooking the lake was really lovely, our room was nothing more than average. We were on the road side of the hotel, rather than facing the lake, so it may have been for that reason that the room felt like nothing special, but it just felt a bit dark and overpriced for what it was. Maybe I would be writing a different review if we had had a different room. The hotel is well located for taking the boat to visit the other places on Lake Como, I recommend booking the day ticket for the slower boats during the day, but if you fancy popping over to Bellagio for dinner you can pay a small supplement to take the fast boat which is basically like a hovercraft that takes you from Tremezzo to Bellagio in about 3 minutes!! Would probably choose to stay in Bellagio next time as Tremezzo, and this hotel just lacked something for me.

From the moment we arrived till we departed 2 days later, the entire hotel staff gave us a warm welcome and were always exceptionally pleasant and willing to accommodate our needs. Our comfortable king size bed and spacious corner room had a stunning view from the balcony towards Bellagio across the lake. Our room was immaculate and we had fantastic ight sleeps on a great king size bed and the bathroom was renovated to a retro style and was just lovely. Combine that with free wi-fi in our room and free car parking adjoining the hotel, what more would you want?

The dinning room overlooks the lake and provided a stunning view at breakfasts and for that romantic occasion if dining in the restaurant at night. Speaking of the restaurant, the menu was of a high quality, excellent wines, food was delicious and the desserts to die for!

As I mentioned to the owner, it should be a 4 star rating for its quality of food, cleanliness of room and exceptional pleasant staff and views….. Simply Stunning - Highly recommend. More importantly, we would stay there again, we loved it.

Room Tip: Request a room overlooking the lake.

We stayed in Oct 2011.The hotel was beautiful and definately lived up to the reveiws. The couple at the front counter showed so much hospitality and showed us to their best room. It was big, clean and overlooking the water. The bathroom was so clean it was sparkling, like someone had cleaned every tile. The veiw was amazing and the water so clear you could see the fishies from your balcony. The lovely couple @ reception are more than happy to tell you the sites to see and boats to take around, Catching the ferry to Bellagio was great! This was definately the highlight of italy for us. Cant wait to come back in the Summer. (having come from the westin in Milan La Darsena is so much better) Definately stay here! Great hospitality, wonderful location amaazing value

Room Tip: I think they are all waterfront so it would be hard to get a bad one here

My husband and I have just returned from a 2 night stay in Lake Como, I wanted a Romantic Lakeview Setting in Lake Como and this hotel provided everything and more.. I always tripadvisor to look for good hotels, but this is my first review that I have written. So i hope this helps people make a decision. My husband and I have travelled all over the world and stayed in Stunning hotels , but this hotel is like a 4 star deluxe with 5 'Star Views and Service. The hotel sits literally on :Lake Como, we arrived late on an Easyjet flight and we got lost, the hosts of the hotel guided us in and made us Sandwiches and drinks at midnight! That was the start of an unbeliveable 2 days, we were treated like royalty, the double lakeview room was stunning with floor to celling doors that open up onto the lake, perfect for your mind body and soul! The owners of the hotel gave us advice on where to go and what to do, the breakfast was stunning all continental with fresh pastries, drinks, eggs, cheese, cereals, they had everthing fresh and homemade - you eat breakfast looking out onto open views of the lake! Dinn er was also unbelievable and served up Jamie Oliver Style! again with the hosts being there if you need them, we wanted to iron our shirt, but they insisted on doing this, they also found us a UK coverter for our iphone as we had left ours at home! They just could not do enough for us and they it made it so special, The rooms are also stunnning, spacious extra clean and the bathrooms are beautiful, ,modern very clean with a selection of compliementary toilerties, the location is also amazing to tour Lake Como - it is a10 minute walk to the Ferry where you can go and visit Bellagio and Varenna , I am already making plans to return to this hotel in April - when considering where to book for your time in Lake Como, please don't stay anywhere else but here - You will not be dissapointed, hence I am wrting this review ..... I am so sad to be back today lol!!!

This hotel sits right on the lake--not across the road from the lake. The views are astounding from the rooms (assuming you pay for a lake view room). The rooms are large by European standards with excellent bathrooms. Bed very comfortable. Desk and chairs in room. Good TV with English news programs, which was important for us.

Breakfast--amazing with all kinds of breads and condiments. Plus all kinds of meats, cheese, and eggs. Great coffees and tea. Etc.

Dinner at restaurant--just superb with great meat and fish selections. Some of the best meals ever, with special kudos to the filet mignon.

Service--Tiziano and Ezio could never do enough for you. They work at least 12 hours per day each, serving you both breakfast and dinner. They provide any info you need for your visit with enthusiasm. Broken handle on shower fixed within a couple of hours. Safe won't open--Tiziano bounds up the stairs and opens it immediately. In general, I have never experienced this high a level of service and friendliness any where despite many years of travel.

What a great experience!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Room Tip: Pay for a lake view room. They are priceless. End rooms have two balconies overlooking the lake.
