Me and my family just returned from a week staying in La Perla in Tremezzo and we all loved it. We were there from a close friends wedding, which we turned into a group holiday aswell. In total 13 guests of the wedding stayed in La Perla including the Bride and Groom and all said we would like to stay there again. The whole hotel was so clean i dont think it could have been cleaner. The breakfast was lovely, with so much to chose from. We sat out on the terrace every morning eating our breakfast gazing at the spectacular views. They also do lovely little snakes like panni's and pizza for through the day and meals at night. I would recommend the pastas dishes for night time. There was free wifi at the hotel which was great but you did have to put the password in a lot as some parts in the hotel you lost connection. The town of Tremezzo was lovely and peaceful and the people were always happy to help you. It was also only a little drive from Lenno and Mennaggio which were lovely too. The hotel puts on 4 free shuttle bus ride from the hotel down to Tremezzo and back up. This is because the walk is down is a 25/30 mins down a steep hill. We found these times good for going down at night but maybe the first one in the morning a little early and you would need a taxi home at night if you when out for a meal to come home. But if it wasn't up the hill you wouldn't have such fantastic views. I would defiantly recommend this place as a couples holiday just because of how romantic and beautiful and quiet the place is, but we loved it as a family and friends holiday too. I would say the atmosphere of the whole place is amazing and so chilled out and relaxing. By far the best thing at La perla is the staff. The family owned hotel is made 100 times better just by how kind, helpful and accommodating they are. Always asking if you are ok and how your day was and if you need help with anything. They are so genuine. They recommend some lovely places to eat from and to go and see. You couldnt have meant nicer people and it was very sad leaving the hotel. The hotel was unforgettable and just to try and put it into words of how much we enjoyed it is so hard. I found myself sometimes just staring at the views trying to take it in but they are so jaw dropping it is hard to do so. on our last nice we saw the best fireworks i have seen in my life as Lake Como celebrated the night of falling stars. Just like the name says thats what it was, I saw 3 shooting stars!!! Only word to describe it is magical and it round up our holiday the best way possible.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 108 which was a family room with amazing views of the lake from its huge balcony...

Just returned yesterday from Lake Como and already missing La Perla! We were in Lake Como for a wedding and cannot tell you how much we loved staying at hotel La Perla. By the time we left the four owners felt like really good friends ! There was nothing too much trouble for them and all the tips they gave about where to go etc were excellent. The hotel is set in a wonderful site at the top of a hill giving fantastic views over the lake-it's quite breathtaking. If you are looking for complete peace and quiet this is the place to be.

Had a wonderful stay with family. We stayed in the family room which was perfect, giving us extra space, very quiet, even though we overlooked the pool and had the bar above us. We enjoyed the breakfast which provided a variety of foods. The view was spectacular and lovely to enjoy breakfast on the terrace taking in the view. I can only reiterate all the previous comments about the owners and how friendly and helpful they are. The hotel is spotless and very comfortable. We enjoyed having some english channels on the tv! The pool was lovely. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again in the future.

We honeymooned in Lake Como as part of our itinerary while traveling, and everyone and everything pointed us to Bellagio. By way of reading fantastic reviews of Tremezzo and with the quality of being around a silent neighborhood, we chose La Perla by chance, and were surprised with what we found.

Bar-none, it's the cleanest hotel I've ever seen. It's all polished white. The hotel is run by a family, and all the members provide you assistance during your stay in one way or another. This adds to your trip, seasoning up your experience. The family is very much involved in keeping the place neat and tidy.

Food is great. The breakfast included is supreme. Italian quality meats, cheeses, nutella, hard boiled eggs, coffee in any way and manner, yoghurt, and fresh juice makes this breakfast truly grand.

The rooms are very clean and tidy. We got the suite and had this lovely view towards the lake and surrounding mountains.

You can walk around Tremezzo and meet a peaceful community. If peace and quite and a lovely stay is what you need with your couple, then go no further. This is your choice.

I’ve just returned from a 9 night stay at Hotel La Perla in Tremezzo and have nothing but positive things to say about the hotel and its owners. I was in Italy with a group of 9 other family members—we were there for my brother’s wedding as well as a holiday. From the day of our arrival to our departure the hotel owners were unbelievably courteous, friendly and incredibly helpful. In fact, the wedding planner had left out a few transport details for the wedding day and the hotel owners stepped in to help, offering us transportation and arranging transportation for us in the evening when they themselves could not. Any issue, and there were very few and minor, was dealt with instantly, and the staff just went out of their way to accommodate any requests.

The hotel itself is situated in the hills of Tremezzo so it has a stunning view of the lake from nearly all rooms, as well as from the pool, and the dining room. The rooms are basic but exceptionally clean and well-cared for and secure. The breakfast room is open every morning and offers a continental style breakfast—croissants, cereals, muffins, toast (+spreads), yoghurt, ham, cheese, eggs, coffee, fruit juice. It’s a large, fresh buffet and the food was delicious. The hotel doesn’t have a full restaurant but they offer up a snack bar in the evening six out seven days. It’s called a snack bar but the dishes are like main meals and again the food is great. Panini’s and pizzas are also available throughout the day upon request.

There’s a computer in the main lobby with internet access, but you can also access the hotel’s free wifi on your own devices on request at the reception.

Location-wise, the hotel is about a twenty to thirty minute walk up a steep hill, however, the hotel offers a free shuttle bus that leaves twice in the morning and collects twice in the late afternoon from Tremezzo. Again, though, we found the staff so accommodating, often able to come and collect us out-with these hours if we called them, or arrange for a taxi to come and collect us. They were also so informative, offering up info on events within all the neighbouring towns on specific days, including providing boat, bus and train timetables.

Overall, this is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The owners really went out of their way to make us feel at home with them, and I wasn’t the only one in my group to feel sad to leave them. Fantastic stay! Will definitely be returning to Hotel La Perla in the future.

Fantastic location with wonderful views over the Lake . Hotel owners are fantastic, nothing is too much trouble. The place is spotlessly clean and has a real homely feel. You do however need a car as it is about 1 mile uphill from the lake.
Would highly recommend.

Room Tip: Really worth getting a lake view

We stayed at La Perla for five days and had the most wonderful holiday there. The hotel was small, but that added to the special feeling of the place. The owners, twin sisters and their husbands, went out of their way to help us and recommend ideas, tips, etc. The hotel was immaculate and the view was stunning. The first evening we sat on the terrace as the sun went down, watching the villages around the lake twinkle as the lights went on. We were there for hours! We were gald to have a car as we drove it down to park for free in the school playground (as recommended by the hosts). It wasn't the going down which was the problem, but the getting back up the hill at the end of a long day! The pool was very welcoming and those beautiful views - well worth being up the hill a bit! There is nothing to complain about - we would recommend this hotel to anyone and would definitely go back again - we felt thoroughly spoilt.

Room Tip: All rooms at the front and the side have a lake view, although you needn't pay the extra, just s...
