I had a 3rd floor room with a balcony, oriented to the hotel terrace. The bathroom hasn' t been cleaned throughout the 5 days of my staying, bathroom linen was not changed at all. The plus points are position, the restaurant( staff, menu and cleanliness) and the outdoor floating pool across the street.

This has once been a very grand hotel, sadly it's now very tired and needs some TLC. We had a superior room with a balcony. Unfortunately the air con didn't work properly, the toilet was dirty, the furniture was old and most of it was in poor condition and our sheets were not changed for the entire time we were there even in the 90 degree heat! In our walk down the corridor we also went past a broken armchair with 3 legs and a chest of drawers with a broken top. Best bits were the balcony and the downstairs restaurant which is nice, as is the outdoor pool. Another plus point is you can get the main UK TV channels in your room. Would we stay here again? No, because our room was dirty to the point we bought cleaning products from the local shop and did it ourselves, not what you expect when on holiday!

Brown stains around the toilet rim, air con didn't work, sheets not changed once in 90 degree heat, broken and tired furniture. We had room 234 and we were assured by the Scottish owner that we had 'hit the jackpot' in getting that room. Firstly, we had paid for it, so it wasn't 'luck'. Secondly, if that's what you call 'the jackpot' I am truly sorry for the other guests. And thirdly, if you are going to provide packed lunches for you guests on excursions, please make sure the bread (yes, the bread, not the Melba toast) is able to have some butter look at it before it breaks into a thousand pieces on your unwashed kitchen floor.
