First off, I don't just throw reviews around unless I feel a place needs/ doesn't need one. I went to this little town looking for wine but came away with the best confrontation with truffles I have ever had....and I have had them all over France and Italy. My husband and I went here because it was open on a Tuesday afternoon and French people were going in...win/win. I had no expectations until I saw the wine list. I have never seen so many Brunellos by the glass and yes I realize where I am. I was content with the wine until I had the ravioli tartufo placed in front of me. No joke, I still can smell and taste it. It was a little piece of magic with one of the best 2004 Brunellos I have ever had. The wine was also local and maybe from the family that owned the restaurant? I wish I knew because it was phenomenal. The chef came out and greeted us which was very gracious of her. I usually only see that in France any more. It was a perfect touch. Maybe it was the wine, maybe I was just feeling Tusacany, but this place will be a lifetime highlight and I would plan a vacation just around returning here. I know I will. Great job Enoteca Al Giullare. You have a fan for life.
