The Brizio is a few kilometres outside Montalcino, which is both a good and a bad thing.
The good - it's amazingly quiet, and set in the middle of a working vineyard. So, you can drink a bottle of Brunello in the middle of the actual vines from which it came. This is a brilliant thing to do, and not to be missed.
The not so good - you would need to get a taxi to and from Montalcino if you want to taste wines there. We didn't do this in the end, so I don't know how much it would cost.
We booked a superior apartment through Expedia. It was spacious, with a bed area and then a kitchen area (both in one large room). I cooked whilst there, there was enough equipment to cook pasta and prepare a dinner. The breakfast was brought to the room in the morning, and the people were pleasant - they didn't speak any English, but they can call someone who can, if needs be.
They were overbooked for one night of our stay, so we had to stay in a neighbouring place. This was a bit of a pain, but they didn't charge us for that night, which we thought very fair of them.
I didn't notice that there wasn't a TV - you don't stay in the middle of a Tuscan vineyard, near to one of Italy's most legendary wine towns and stay in watching TV (unless there's football on, maybe!).
