“The perfect venue for a perfect celebration”
Reviewed 19 November 2012 for a stay in June 2012

The villa and its amenities provided the perfect place for the celebration of our 70th year. Joined by our children, their children, plus brother, sister, niece and in-laws, the place and the owners provided all we could ask for -- great accommodations, guidance for day trips, wonderful catering services by a wonderful cook, and friendly help with any requests. I can't imagine a better choice for a memorable Italian adventure.

“Delightful Tuscan Villa”
Reviewed 18 November 2012 for a stay in June 2012

My husband and I were invited to spend a week at this lovely villa to help celebrate the birthdays of our son's inlaws in June. The house was lovely-open and comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with anything we needed. The bedrooms were posh and airy, the private baths fully stocked with amenties. Even though the weather was warm, the house was always comfortably cool. The solar heated swimming pool was delightful. The villa is in the countryside but an easy drive to lovely Tuscan hill towns--San Gimingnano, Siena, Voltara. Florence is a bit farther but a good day trip destination.

“The Ultimate Tuscan Experience”
Reviewed 18 November 2012 for a stay in March 2012

Just an amazing home and location. Even better than the pictures. Marco and Cecilia went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect. Fabulous home cooked tuscan meal on arrival, well stocked kitchen and gift basket, all rooms showed attention to detail and high end finish, great location.

“FANTASTIC STAY at A LOVELY HOUSE in TUSCANY”
Reviewed 18 November 2012 for a stay in April 2012

We had a very nice stay in this lovely House, in the middle of the Tuscany countryside, House is decorated in a perfect Tuscany style, with a lot of love from their owners. Location is gorgeus, quiet, beatiful views and in the middle of all interesting towns. Owners are really on top of taking care of their guests. A fantastic pool for summer time is close the house. Bikes are available in the garage. Barbacue and fire-place are very good complements for typical dinners and endless relaxing nights. A house you will not easily forget !!

“Perfect Tuscan retreat”
Reviewed 10 June 2012 for a stay in May 2012

We choose this Villa as the venue for our wedding in early May. Having a small wedding with just immediate family and a few friends, this perfectly suited our needs. There are 6 bedrooms in the main house all with bath, although 2 share the downstairs bath. Then a full apartment (2 bath, sleeps 4, full kitchen) in the Limonaia (guest house). We had 14 adults and 2 children in our party, and we were comfortable in the space. Everything was very elegantly decorated and thoughtfully designed. The owners Cecilia and Marco take great pride and care in their property and it is well worth the effort. Must note that the beds and bedding were amazingly comfortable (we did take the sheets off to see what we were sleeping on, so we could buy it for our house). We were welcomed with a dinner organized by the owners on the first night we were there, a simple home-cooked Tuscan meal, and it was outstanding. We were also lucky enough to use the wood burning pizza oven one night, and everyone made homemade pizzas, very fun. The location is a bit remote, no traffic noise or neighbors to contend with, this benefit comes with a little drive, but for us was worth it. It is about 20-30 mins in between Volterra and San Gimignano, off a curvy country road. The infinity pool was nice, however in early May, still a bit cold for a dip. The property is well landscaped with a beautiful Cypress-lined drive, and typical Tuscan charm throughout. Overall, we had a great experience, our perfect wedding, amazing location, and this Villa and its attentive owners were a huge part of that. Thanks again.

“Go there!”

On our first trip to Tuscany we traveled with our children and their spouses. We expected the beauty of the country, but were surprised by the vastness of it. The location of Podere Scopicciolo made the trip far more manageable. Florence, Siena, Volterra and other locations were less than an hour away. The villa is situated amidst rolling hills where horses run and sheep graze. Poppies were in bloom everywhere.

We could not have been more comfortable. The owners of the villa, Cecilia and Marco, thought of everything we needed before we arrived. There was even food in the refrigerator. We availed ourselves of their help in lining up cooks on a couple of occasions. Other services are available as well. Before we left, they asked what they could do to make the visit even better for the next guests. We could think of nothing.

If you get the chance, go there. You will be gald you did.

“top level property with impressive sight on the Tuscany hills”

The property is located in one of the most beautiful area of Tuscany, at less than one hour drive from Florence.
We stayed at the Villa together with some friends and loved both staying 'at home' dining under the porch or swimming in the nice pool and getting around exploring the amazing places and restaurants suggested by the lovely owners Cecilia and Marco. They carefully selected all the information in the area one visitor may need and were at complete disposal to give us any kind of special tip.
Service was excellent under any point of view. We could not ask more!
