My wife and I visited Italy mid-August 2013...it was a truly amazing trip! We wanted to stay close to Florence but also enjoy the Tuscan countryside we had heard so much about...That's when we came across La Quercia in our search for a Private villa... La Quercia is Spectacular!...La Quercia is located just outsid e the center of a small Italian town called Impruneta famous for it's Terra-cotta. The property is amazing. We would walk through the vineyards and olive groves, and just take in the incredible landscape and tranquility surrounding us. We would often just sit outside on the terrace enjoying the Tuscan air. We ate plenty of our meals outside on the terrace. The private pool was great to come home to after a long day of exploring Italy. It was both refreshing and relaxing after a long fun-filled day. If you decide you don't want to rent a car(we did not rent a car), there is a bus stop within walking distance to the main plaza in Impruneta. It's about 1\2 mile(1\3km) walk that wasn't bad at all...and we were all not in the best physical shape..ha ha. The bus can easily take you into Florence in about 25 minutes!
What really made our stay as great as it was, was the hospitality provided by the owner Veronica and her daughter, Marguerite...they were the best hostesses we've ever encountered during our travels...and we travel a lot. They are willing to help in any way and are sure to allow you your privacy. We highly recommend you don't pass up the opportunity to have a butlered served dinner cooked by Veronica right at the villa. She's an amazing cook! We enjoyed our first meal in Italy sitting under the tuscan stars enjoying a four course meal (that incuded a bottle of the estate's own Chianti) served by a butler. It was truly one of the best meals we've ever had! And speaking of cooking...you can't pass up Veronica's cooking class either. Veronica offers cooking classes in her cooking studio that is on the property as well. She'll meet with you beforehand to pick out a menu. On our last night at La Quercia, we took a cooking class withVeronica and she had us prepare our own 4 course dinner that we had chosen with her, including making our own pasta from scratch...the end result was mouth watering... We highly recommend La Quercia and we can't wait to go back...Thanks Veronica and Marguerite for a fantastic holiday! We have never encountered such warm and generous hosts. We hope to see you both again real soon! :-) -Eric

“A great family vacation!”
Reviewed 2 July 2013 for a stay in June 2013

Villa La Quercia is comfortable and charming. We loved the private pool. We enjoyed having coffee on the patio in the morning and gathering around the kitchen table at night to discuss the days events. We felt the location, close to Florence, provided easy access to the hill towns of central Italy. Veronica was an excellent host, even baking us goodies and taking us to the best wine tasting I've ever had. Given the opportunity, we would definitely return.

“Tuscany Gem Lovingly Maintained”
Reviewed 25 June 2013 for a stay in June 2013

On our first visit to Tuscany, my husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Veronica's lovingly cared for property with four of our best friends. While updated and comfortable, the property maintains a days-of-the-past charm and feel. La Quercia provides a complete escape from day-to-day life. We were greeted each morning with fresh coffee, fruit and a selection of pastries prepared by Veronica. The property is conveniently located to many sites and cities. Within and hours drive, we visited Florence, Sienna and San Gimignano. There were many more options, but time didn't allow for our trip. One of our most memorable and enjoyable days was the day we stayed at a the villa for a private cooking class and then enjoyed the meal with Veronica. I highly recommend Villa La Quercia for anyone seeking a complete escape.

“La Quercia shines brightly in Tuscany.”
Reviewed 13 June 2013 for a stay in June 2013

Located just south of Florence, La Quercia provides easy access to all of Tuscany. Set among the vineyards, gorgeous vistas span all directions. A blooming rose garden amid immaculate grounds add beauty. The home offers many gathering places: a wonderful patio, a large family room, and a pool. Bedrooms are spacious and nicely appointed. Veronica, a warm and gracious host, prepares excellent breakfasts daily that include fresh juices and homemade pastries. Don't miss her cooking school!

“Authentic Tuscan Villa with Dreamy Extras”
Reviewed 9 June 2013 for a stay in June 2013

Owner Veronica Clemente's childhood home has evolved into a dreamlike experience for travelers who want to experience getting-away-from-it-all in an authentic setting, just 7 miles south of Florence. Veronica resides next door in her cooking school/home, speaking superb English, and is an excellent resource plus inspiration for living a true, Tuscan life. Reasonably-priced, butler-served meals are available using the freshest, local ingredients, homemade by Veronica herself.
