If you're looking to have the wedding of your dreams and have all of your guests remember it forever, this is the place. It's similar to Tuscany, but friendlier and less expensive. The co-owners of the castle, Chiara and Matteo, make you feel at home and help you arrange many things. The setting is out of this world, atop a hill overlooking Assisi and the rolling hills of Umbria (much like Tuscany). They basically let you roam around the castle like kings and queens and make you feel like at home the entire time that you're there. Everyone is incredibly friendly, and they fix a great breakfast with cappuccino, hams, cheeses, yogurt, croissants, etc. We catered the wedding ourselves with the Danish company www.goodtaste.dk and pastry chef Thomas Parry, and that worked out very well also. The castle itself is a fascinating maze, with rooms of different names scattered in different towers. In our wedding, we had cocktails overlooking the valley by the pool, then moved inside for a King Arthur-like dinner, then outside for dancing until midnight, and further dancing in a different room inside until the wee hours of the morning. Unreal. We also did the rehearsal dinner, with catering help from the castle, the night before. I would also recommend other activities in the area that we did (a wine tasting picnic at SAIO winery) - http://www.saioassisi.it/en/degustazioni, a trip to the amazing waterfalls at Cascate delle Marmore, and paragliding/short hiking at Castelluccio di Norcia, and the restaurant Il Casale degli Amici in Norcia (where we had one of the best meals of our lives). http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g194835-d2206901-Reviews-Il_Casale_degli_Amici-Norcia_Province_of_Perugia_Umbria.html

We had been planning our wedding for over two years and and to say it was perfect would be an understatement. Castello Di Rosciano truly is a magical place to get married and I couldn’t recommend it highly enough. From our first meeting at a wedding fair where we were introduced to Chiara, she instantly made us feel at ease and gave us the assurance that our day would be perfect. The venue is stunning and caters for a various mix of numbers, we had 70 guests and throughout the day everyone remarked at the beautiful surroundings that they were enjoying.
We had planned to get married on the lawn looking across the lovely landscape to Assisi, however with 40 minutes until we said "I do" it started to rain, so plan B came into action and we got married in the beautiful chapel attached to the castle. This was the high standard of service, that within 30 minutes they re-organised the musicians, seating and all the flowers without any disruption to the guests.
The food is all done by caterers, and we used the local restaurant Siro's which was recommended by Chiara. We had a 5 course wedding breakfast and the food was out of this world. We have had many guests come up to us to say it’s the best food they have had at any wedding so please check out Siro's if you are there. Chiara and her family who own the Castle couldn’t have done anymore for us and welcome you with open arms and help in any way they can.

Chiara is one of the best organisers I have met, she helps you plan the whole day and liaises with all the suppliers if you need her to on your behalf. Whether is assistance with the embassy paperwork and what’s required to setting up a meeting at the town hall with interpreters etc.. If you don’t speak Italian it’s not a problem, Chiara's English is very good and even if you live in another country such as us, we skyped on several occasions to ensure everything was going to plan.

If you are planning to get married in Italy, in a romantic Castle setting then I urge you to at least look at what Castello has to offer. Castello Di Rosciano will always be in our hearts and we both look to forward to going back and enjoying a lovely cappuccino with our friend Chiara and her family. Tom & Alison x

If you are looking for a truly unique wedding venue in a truly awe-inspiring location then Castello di Rosciano is the perfect location. Not only because you get brilliant food, excellent weather and views to make your wedding photos stand out, but because your guests will tell you that it is the best wedding that they have ever been too.

You will see a lot of reviews saying that it is a great wedding venue, but to us it is so much more. We are now in contact with Chiara and their family many years after our wedding and have already been back to stay with them.

Chiara will help you with anything that you need for your big day and can also suggest really personal touches too.

For the many times that we have been there we know that they are always busy with weddings but you get the feeling that you are the most important couple there when you are arranging your own wedding.

All of our guests had a fantastic time and we took advantage of all the accommodation in the castle and also in the farm house at the top of the hill, we even managed to have a pizza party whilst watching the sunset with all our guests a couple of nights before our big day.

If you are looking to have your wedding in Italy then make sure you take a drive up to the castle, you will not be disappointed.

Love to you all at the Castle and look forward to seeing you all again soon x

Room Tip: The views from any of the rooms are fantastic.

Attended a good friends wedding here in July. Amazing scenery and great hosts ... we stayed in the apartments at the top of the hill and they were very large and well equipped - however, the walk up to them is longer than you think and VERY dark - beware (or use a car instead !!).
Loved the place though ... very relaxing.

Spectacular! There is no other word that could describe this fairytale place more accurately. We married at Castello di Rosciano in August and couldn't have chosen a more perfect place to have said our vows.

From the very start we couldn't have been more welcome and after our wedding day we left feeling as though we were apart of the family.

Chiara who organises the weddings is an angel, you couldn't ask for a better wedding planner. She was always on hand to answer the hundreds of questions we had during the planning stages and we felt as though we were the only couple that year getting married, it was such a personal experience.

We would definitely recommend staying in the apartments beforehand they are well equipped and make a great base for exploring the beautiful area that surrounds the castle.

All we can say is do not hesitate to book Castello di Rosciano for your Italian wedding, you will not be disappointed, dreams can come true.
